The pre-check in process was smooth. The bay was clean and well stocked with all the golf clubs. Our server, Mike B, even checked if we needed left handed clubs. He was attentive to our table for our beverage orders without hovering, which was appreciated. We did not order any food items this visit, but have enjoyed the food we have eaten previously. I had a great time here, you don't need to be Tiger Woods to have fun at Topgolf - all skill level players are welcome. You can pick multiple golfing games on screens in your section - you can do ones that only count if you hit the holes, ones that count your distance, ones that incorporate fun app games like Angry Birds and Sonic and more. Our server was very friendly/attentive at our section while golfing, she checked up on us a lot if we needed help or if we wanted to order anything. I didn't bother ordering food or drinks as it's all extremely expensive (eat/drink before you go). If you like mini golf, but regular golf isn't your thing, I think Topgolf is somewhere in the middle where you can have a great time at. Definitely check it out at least once, the earlier you go in the day, the less crowded it will be - especially early mornings. read more

We checked in before 7:30 and were initially placed on the first floor. We immediately asked if it was possible to move to a higher floor, and were directed to a manager--who denied the request without even checking availability. That already set the tone for the experience. Things didn't improve from there. Our waiter brought a drink to the wrong person in our party and didn't card them. We had to step in and clarify that they were not the same person. It was honestly a bit uncomfortable and came across as careless and unprofessional. On top of that, we specifically asked to split the bill between drinks and the game for each person--something that's advertised as easy to do for groups. Instead, it was handled poorly. Everyone ended up being charged separately for their drinks and then again for the game portion, making it confusing and frustrating to sort out. Waste of time! We drove a half hour each way and wasted half our day. This is the second time we've been here and the equipment doesn't work. Most of our hits didn't register on the screen, so we got someone to help us. He reset everything and it registered one hit before freezing again. We got the manager who blamed everything on the technology being new and that they're still working on it. If your equipment and technology doesn't work then you shouldn't be charging the prices you do. We ended up leaving and on the way out we overheard someone else complaining that their hits weren't registering. It's not right to continue to charge people and provide equipment that's not updated and that's broken. read more

Topgolf never disappoints. I do both walk ins and reservations and it's always smooth. With the walk ins if I need something specific they are able to help me. Everyone is friendly and always checking up and I appreciate that. The ambiance is always fun and energetic. Everyone around is having fun and a good time. I love the food they have and the party platter. I do love when they put either the field goal or a soccer net on the range for Super Bowl or World Cup. It's fun to try. We had to wait about 30 min for a booth during the week which was odd, as it seemed there were plenty of booths open but it wasn't the end of the world. Food and drinks were great - this was my first time at Top Golf and i was impressed. The clubs were in fine shape, the games were a lot of fun to play. The technology is great how you can see ball speed and play games with a point system - way cooler than your traditional driving range. The buffalo chicken dip would have to be my favorite, it comes in a cast iron so it stays warm for a while. So good. They have plenty of floors and games to play other than golf so it makes it an inclusive entertainment place for everyone. They also have an outdoor roof with fireplaces to stay warm in the evenings. The service was great, a waiter/waitress came by every so often to see if we wanted anything. There is no call button or anything, so you do have to rely on them walking by or coming up to the table. The food was mid, nothing to really write home about. The donuts were the best thing of the night with the warm raspberry jam. The worst thing was the buffalo chicken potato skins. It just had an off putting texture, we just weren't fans. The games were fun! I for sure cannot golf, so it's nice that some of the games are friendly for even the beginner golfer. It's a great place and you can order food and drinks. I did not like the nachos or food much. Tater tots were good though. The nacho avocado sauce was more a mayo and not real avocado, and the toppings for the nachos were not good or fresh. Topgolf is a fun place to go if you go at the right times! They have lots of discounts going on and it is soooo worth it. We ordered the honey hot pizza which was good. I recommend it. We also ordered a s'mores skillet and if you are there to share with a couple of friends, it is worth the try. Visited this past week in the AM and had a server by the name of Madison(didn't bother letting us know her name) Started off with one hr of game, a couple of waters, a couple of drinks, and buffalo dip. Asked for some hot sauce too. Then went on to order wings which were too big and wet when biting into even though they were extra crispy. We sent them back and decided on the tacos. I guess they were pissed and decided to take their sweet time bringing them out. At this point there was 15 minutes left of game which I decided against extending because I figured we'll eat our tacos and head out. Nope. Took them 20+ minutes after the game was done to get the tacos to the table. The energy was off and of course Madison needed to get help. Now the tipping point was when the server working next to our table looked over and rolled her eyes. I'm guessing she didn't believe anyone saw her because she seemed extremely shocked when I called her out on it or she's an excellent liar. The manager on duty, Lejla, was amazing. She refused a tip and even extended an hr of gameplay to use on a future visit. Although I appreciate her kindness, I'll be avoiding the Schaumburg location for now. Madison service was a 3/5, I truly believe it was her co-worker who was sabotaging her because Madison would've gotten a great tip. I could be wrong though. We made a reservation the day prior and while we made it for an hour we ended up extending an extra 15 minutes. I recently came here with my family to celebrate a birthday. I had been several times before so I knew what to expect. It's a very fun activity for a group, but it can be pricey. On this day the weather went from 70 to 30 degrees as the sun set and we were kept warm by the heater. For the golfing, they have clubs for you to use and various targets to hit. To say that I'm a horrible shot, is already too much of a compliment. But the tee and the different circles make it a bit easier to have targets to aim for. I love Top Golf... But my love for it has been a more recent thing! I came here with my coworkers last spring for our end of the school year function, and I had such a blast! This was not my first time visiting TopGolf but I really just enjoyed it! I decided to sign my daughter up for their kids golf camp after years of trying to get her into golf, and one of her friends joined her... let me tell you, their camp sparked a love for golf with my daughter. Since then we've done a few private lessons for her which she has loved. My daughter and I came to TG on Valentine's Day for my husbands first time and he is hooked as well! Half priced bays on Tuesdays... you can't beat that!!! Their appetizers were delicious and their drink prices were decent. I would highly recommend the kids golf camp. My daughter LOVED it. The only reason we are potentially not doing it this year is because she now is so interested in learning about golf, she is going to do camps at a golf course. Even if you don't know how to golf (which was me..I held the golf club like a baseball bat...and I had one of the top scores...it was just fun to try something new and enjoy a beautiful sunny day. Although, even if it's bad weather I could still see it being fun. You're in a covered area with TV's and table and chairs and the golf ball is electronically monitored. So wherever you hit it shows it. Cons: 1) they need to fix the women's bathroom doors. The handicap "accessible" stall is not. You can't even close it because the lock doesn't line up so if you are not able to hold it still whilst pushing it in, you cannot lock your stall. 2) it should be explained over the phone and in person (neither time it was explained) that the "service charge" for big parties or events does not go only to the server working the party..it is split amongst bartenders, buffet runner, etc. in other words, if you get good service you need to make sure you tip the server on top of your service charge. This should be explained. Our server never said anything and he was always in good spirits but I asked another server. When you work in the service industry you double check these things. Hameed took care of all of us, 17 total and he was very quick with everything and he had this contagious smile and attitude. It was such a great time! You should consider this for work events, family, friends, or date night!
