Anyways, I arrived at the course and only saw about 5 cars in the massive parking lot with one person working on their short game on the expansive practice green. As I was approaching the facility, there was a bartender just hanging around outside and she guided me to the clubhouse - she was very friendly which immediately gave me a good feeling towards the course. Checked in, I hit the range which was in great shape with grass tees- very well maintained. On the course - the tee boxes were in good condition - fairways as well. The greens rolled true and for the most part were in great condition - aside from people not repairing their ball marks (smh - take care of the course people!) The course is really wide open but easy to get into trouble if you are not in the fairway as the long thick rough and many trees will punish you. Tl;dr - Great course, would cost 50% more in WA - recommended to friends for our Chicago golf trip.

Great spot to take brand new players and kids. No time pressure, no dress code. No one will bristle at golf etiquette mistakes. But you'll probably only be hitting irons. Driving range attached. It's about as low stakes as you can get for 9 holes. Greens aren't great but a pretty decent place to learn to putt. Slow, nothing tricky, breaks the way you think it will. Bunkers are patches of sand with some tall grass weeds, but the greens are pretty big and you're usually hitting a 7 iron so it's fine. All I all I like it but it's not a place I'd score, which again makes it great for learners.

Having explored other fish fries in the area, 37 Grill was just as good as any of the others. After I finished my first two filets, I decided that one more would be all I could handle. Apparently, getting just one was not an option. I had to take two more. Not exactly sure why. After finishing my one extra I rationalized that the leftover piece would just trashed, so I went ahead and finished it off making me more stuffed than I intended. I should mention the service. We all got golf carts, but the 9 holes that we played were very walkable. It was like an executive quick course that was worked very well for our 6 to 7 teams that we had. They kept the kitchen open for us to order food after we played. The drinks at the bar were nice and strong, loved the kahlua and coffee! They had a good beer special, and the food was pretty good.
