Why am only giving this place two stars... I wanna start out with a positive the place is always very clean the husband and wife that work there ( owners) work very hard to make sure that the place is always clean I've been coming here for months.. When I'm there I usually get a Pedi ,mani ,my eyebrows .. I went there two weeks before my birthday, I usually get my nails done every two weeks... well the salon was going to be closed on the The 18th, 19th and the 20th ( The 20th being my birthday) they were going to be closed , so I decided to go to another place ( like it was my birthday should I have not got my nails done because they went on vacation) lol ...well I went in there today and I was asked not only once but twice ....where have You been????? you don't come back ???? where have you been !!!!! by the woman ( the wife) I told her I had been working which was true and she looked at me like ( yeah right ) .. then she started talking Chinese to her husband lol which is always an uncomfortable situation I mean not for anything nobody was in the salon at the time so I don't know if she was just bored ... but rude AF !! Before that, there was an incident in the parking lot over a "Karen complaining about a parking spot " and after I've been a loyal customer to the salon for a year Without knowing the whole situation , the woman salon owner took the karens side ... I felt like it was uncalled for.. so I walked out and I not to go to the salon ever again... I also want to note they have messed up on my nails , numerous times, I never once complained never once went back there for them to fix it .. I got a full set of nails 3 weeks ago and noticed my pinky nail's separating from the nail bed at the top. Last night I soaked off my nails and noticed fungus on 3 nails! Now I have to deal with all this mess. Also, the owner's wife isn't personable and just glared at me while her husband did my nails. I won't be back and now have to go weeks without nails and pay for fungal treatment. read more

I had bookmarked this place to try it out as I am dissatisfied with the current nail salon I had been going to. It was not busy so I just walked in and I had asked to have my nails soaked off which usually takes a little while but it's worth it. The man is quite friendly, the lady with the snarl, not so much. Well, the guy started by clipping the tips of the nails off then tried to pry the acrylic off with another nail and it was slightly discomfortable. I didn't understand what rush there was because I was LITERALLY the only person there. Although it was little to no pain, it caused one of my nails to bleed. I had intended on getting a new set in place of those but I just didn't want to endure anymore discomfort so I finished out with a regular manicure. Overall it was less than $20 and should decently last until I try a new place next week. read more

I'm looking for a good nail salon where I can do my nails regularly. Andy was friendly, and took great care of my nails. I was not rushed, and I am VERY happy with the way my nails look. The salon is clean, and I plan on returning for a pedicure. I dropped a star because of the prices. My acrylic fill with gel polish was $40, which will be a steep price for me to do every 2 weeks, so I may have to find a more affordable place for that purpose. read more

I read all the reviews and decided to give the place a try. The man was very friendly and patient. Got my full set for 35$ I realLy wish they would hAve cured my nails with the UV light. They put them under a fan and told me they were dry and as soon as I got home the polish smudged. Am still happy with the results though. read more

Best nail salon in Lubbock. Prices are extremely reasonable. I love my nails really long and in the ballerina shape and a lot of places rush and do a crappy job of shaping them. Not here. I have been going to Chic nails for several years. I came in today and was picking out my color. I accidentally dropped a polish and broke. Man and wife was very upset. I did apologize and said I would pay for it. I can understand if I had a child that I neglected and broke something but I am a 50 year old woman. It was an accident. They continued with telling me they have to buy paint for the wall and a nearby chair was damaged. I paid them $25 extra for the damage and got the hell out of there Never to return. read more

I have been searching and searching for a nail salon in Lubbock. After being disappointed many times, I tried Chic Nails. I was extremely pleased with my acrylic nails. The man did an absolutely fantastic job! I highly recommend going here; it is a family business and they are all so friendly! The location is a bit away from my apartment, but I make the drive because I truly believe Chic Nails is as good as it gets! read more

Haven't seen a recent review for this nail salon but this is my second time going and I love it! I'm from out of town and needed a new nail place and this is it for me! 30 for gel manicure and Kay is amazing! She is very meticulous and even repaired a broken nail I had. Very unpleasant people! Will not go back because I tried very hard to make small talk, but she couldn't even try to answer politely.

The only place I will get my pedicures in town. Always clean, able to walk in our set an appointment. Kay and Andy are awesome.

I heard about Chic Nails from a coworker and really like how her nails came out. I have been apprehensive about nail salons but wanted to give Chic Nails a try. Very clean salon. The family who runs the salon were nice and informative about nail care (I lack the knowledge in that department). Pedicure was relaxing. The manicure was delightful. The whole mani/pedi was almost and hour which was perfect. I will defiantly return. I also recommend this nail salon. read more

My intial visit was okay, until I went to pay. The prices for a gel manicure are way over priced, my nails started chipping after 3 days which has never happened to me before. I went back to the salon to have them fix my 6 nails that were chipped and the man told me that their policy was 3 days, I think it is terrible customer service to have a policy of only 3 days. People have to work and don't have time to go to the nail salon 3 days after getting a service done. Needless to say I will never go back to Chic Nail Salon and I would never recommend them. DO NOT GET "SHELLAC." My coworker and I went there last Friday(May 15) and on Monday(May 18) I started to realize they were cracking, and one had chipped on Saturday. I work at a doctor's office. I don't do anything extreme to have my nails chipped off. I called today(May 22) to see if they would re-do the two nails that were chipping. They both said the nails are supposed to last for "3 days not forever." They are NOT shellac. Shellac lasts longer than that. I've known people that it lasts for 3 weeks and longer. I will not be returning and I encourage everyone to keep from getting their FAKE SHELLAC. A polish would have lasted long than this bull crap. read more
