Beautiful space that's shared with a hotel. The restaurant was booked for a reservation so the bar seating was available. During the day, they have happy hour and I tried the beef tartare and escargot as I was doing a food tour and wanted something light. The escargot came with a whole baguette and the tartare had two bread slices. It was so heavy and not a "light" dish. I ended up being so full. The bathroom is located downstairs and has an event space with picturesque seating, the bathroom has toiletries to freshen up and the meal came with a postcard at the end. Very nice restaurant and hope to dine here another time with a full menu.

We were welcome immediately with smiles and brought right to our table. No waiting. That's always nice. We sat inside because a storm was coming and it was really beautiful in there. I always wanted to eat here because I love the hotel and the other bar that's upstairs. It's a really cute French restaurant. The quality of the food was really perfect I was so impressed. Juicy steak cooked to perfection for us and same with the chicken. Those crispy flavorful edges on both. The fries (I know it's just fries) but you guys they were so delicious we got another plate of them. The crème brûlée was a true delight. I got an NA drink it was a ginger beer flavored blood orange. It was light and refreshing perfect over ice. The ceasar salad was very crisp and fresh and not over dressed which happened with a salad sometimes this one was perfect to me. Ryan and I both devoured it all and were both quite pleased the entire meal. Although the portions may seem a little small this filled up Ryan and I well and the quality like this always makes up for quantity of food for price. I'll take that any day over a large amount of mediocre food. I can't wait to come back again soon! And of course can't go wrong with the convenient location for Ryan and I just right in down town Denver 1616 market street! And I do like to mention bathrooms when I feel it's mentionionable... it's part of the hotel and they are a pretty little bathroom with all the little amenities in them one might need and I just love a good clean bathroom in general. It's a beautiful a lot in general. We will be back again soon :)

We came here for Easter brunch - so it wasn't a typical meal. We ordered the steak aux poivre which was delicious and it came with crunchy fries. The only downside is that this restaurant charges a 20% service fee which they tell you doesn't include tip. So once you add a 20% tip - you've spent a 40% up charge which isn't advertised on their website at all. I post this just so anyone who considered this restaurant for a future visit will know that they have to pay 40%. That's high.

I'm always on the search for the best French Onion soup. This place has been recommended on numerous social media outlets, so I decided to give it a try. As part of the Thompson Hotel, I had high hopes for delicious soup, but unfortunately it was pretty mid. The broth didn't have much depth and was lacking bold flavors. The portion size was fine and filling. I also ordered a Boston lettuce salad, which was returned b/c 50% of the lettuce was wilted and turned. Not sure how it even left the kitchen looking the way it did, but I guess most of the wilted lettuce was hidden under the top layer of lettuce. We also ordered the crab toast. I didn't love it b/c it was very bready and very much not crabby, but my counterpart really enjoyed it. Service was very personable and friendly, but it's definitely not on my list to return to if craving French Onion Soup.

If you're seeing a show at the DCPA complex, Chez Maggy is a decent place to get a bite to eat. Food is easily 4 stars, but service could be improved. I ordered the Cordon Bleu, but for some reason the waitress put in the order for some fish dish. This is usually not a big deal, but the wrong order meant that it took a while for our food to arrive and we had to frantically scarf down our food in hopes that we weren't going to be late for the show. The manager did come over to apologize for the mix-up and assured us our food was on its way, but the damage was done. For the record, the Cordon Bleu was a decadent treat and I wish I had more time to enjoy it. My husband thought the Maggy burger was delicious, though he's never met a burger he didn't like. Prior to our entrees, we ordered the Belgian endive salad and the beef tartare. I highly recommend both to share with your dinner companion. Everything we ate was on the rich side; we probably could have split an entree instead of overeating. All in all, I'm glad we finally had the chance to try this place!

Update: food is still bomb! Came with a different group of friends, we ordered the calamari, hamachi crudo, beet salad, filet, and lemon bucatini. Yummmmmmmm. It was all so delicious. The calamari was crispy (I wish there were bigger chunks of squid), the hamachi crudo came with a lovely slaw, and the beet salad was perfection. I loved the pistachio and cheese in the beet salad. The flavors were spot on. The filet was perfectly cooked (medium rare, DUH) and the lemon bucatini was very flavorful. The server also brought us a yummy aioli for the fries that I very much enjoyed. The service was great, shout out to Jeff for a great dining experience! Definitely recommend dining at Chez Maggy, you will eat a very satisfying meal!

Birthday dinner for my wife, and they treated us so well! It was our first time eating there, so we had a lot of questions. I think my favorite parts were all the bases on which our food sat. The crème fraîche and pistachios with the beet salad. The ratatouille with the lamb. Everything complimented the main focus of the dish. They also treated us to some olive oil cake and champagne.

Never a disappointment here. Stopped in at the bar for happy hour and stayed for dinner after a couple of cocktails. We had the burger, fries and French onion soup! Wow, everything was perfect. Flavor. Texture. Smell. Temperature. Timing. Service was fast. They were attend five but not annoying and never rushed us for anything. Food came lightning fast and everything came at once. Still a top fave in Denver for me.

Chez Maggy was an absolute standout. I loved the interior and decor, especially how they incorporated natural elements into the design, it feels elegant but warm and inviting. I had the steak frites and a Caesar salad and both were phenomenal. The steak was incredibly tender and not chewy at all, and the fries were perfect, pillowy on the inside with a great crunch on the outside. The salad was fresh and crisp, and the dressing was rich and flavorful without being overpowering. Everything from the atmosphere to the food made for an excellent experience, and I can't wait to come back.

The food is very good for a hotel restaurant, but it's also heavier than the Metallica concert I went to that night! I had the burger which was really awesome - and the fries were the best fries I've had in a while. Steak frites were pretty good - can't complain but can't write home about it. Creme Brule was also just okay. Breakfast was pretty good also. It's a bit on the pricey side (not terrible, some things are like oh yeah, that's reasonable, others seem to be not a good value). Service was pretty friendly. Overall, it's a 4 (3.5) star joint but I deduct a star due to the 20% auto grat added and then getting the sales pitch afterwards about why they should get additional tip. If you're going to auto grat me 20% and point it out to me, that's cool - if you're going to use it to ask more. Not so much. I don't need an HBS case study into the business model of the restaurant... As i said, some of the food is pretty good so I would eat it again. I'd be hesitant to return if i wasn't staying at the hotel with a credit.

Chez Maggie was fantastic! As a Hyatt Globalist, my meal was complimentary, so no complaints there, but even if I'd paid full price, it would've been worth it. The French toast was incredible, and the chilaquiles were equally outstanding. Flavorful, fresh, and perfectly executed. I'd definitely come back just for those dishes alone. Highly recommend!

5 stars. Classy joint with a Very straightforward food menu including some French classics. Came in for brunch and was sat immediately and had a great intro and experience with the server. The cutlery, plating, and menu all had a boujee vibe but it wasn't too expensive. The chilaquiles are fantastic. They use a large perfectly crispy hash brown instead of chips and it works so well. Spicy and cheesy - great for a morning after revival meal. The Benedict was excellent, top 2 in Denver. Loaded with mushrooms and spinach and the Parisian ham slaps. The hollandaise contains whole mustard seed and was amazing.

I love visiting his restaurants in Los Angeles, and I've been waiting to try this spot for a while. Walked here on my layover from my hotel and it was worth it. Absolutely delicious, escargot and amazing steak tartar. Service was superb and dishes came out quickly and Chef Ludo never disappoints. It looked like it was mostly business lunch crowd when I stopped by. I recommend the spot to everyone who lives here and to anyone who visits. A tiny slice of France in the middle of Denver.

And you'll be openly humiliated and insulted as an adult by even daring to bring your kid. My husband and I come here regularly for a date and we love the place. This afternoon we brought our 1 year old with us for the first time; she loves fries and this place has great pommes frites. We came at 4:30pm and it was probably 90% empty, and obviously not like romantic date night time. First, they tried to seat us alone in the back room, and when we asked to sit in the main dining room (where there were ~15 open tables), the hostess was demonstrably annoyed...despite the fact that every other party was seated in the main room. Worth noting, we come here often at the same time without our daughter, and have never once been seated in the back room alone. Our daughter was sitting quietly in her high chair "reading" the menu and playing with stickers, a few of which she dropped on the floor...because, you know, she's 1. A staff member repeatedly walked by giving us dirty looks and complaining to other staff members about the stickers within earshot. After hearing it multiple times, my husband said, "don't worry, we always pick up after our child." The staff member snapped back, "well they're clearly already going to stick to the floor". My husband replied "we are going to pick them up...kids drop things and things happen". She rolled her eyes, and walked away. We always clean up after our kid. We go out of our way to make sure she's only in appropriate places at appropriate times...like, I obviously wouldn't bring her to this restaurant at 7 PM on a weekend night where she might disrupt adults looking for a romantic night. But she was just sitting there quietly playing with stickers, not bothering anyone (except apparently this staff member). I'm shocked that a place with high chairs and a kids menu would not only be so unwelcoming before we even sat down, but would also insult us as adults by insinuating we would leave our kids trash on the ground in their restaurant. And to stand there and openly talk about us in front of other staff members?? Genuinely stunned, offended and frankly humiliated. FWIW, before we left, I picked up every single sticker in under 10 seconds, because I'm a decent member of society and I intentionally buy my kid stickers that are removable and won't stick to a restaurant's floor or tables. Bistro Vendome: if you find a sticker belonging to my kid, I will personally return and remove it, but I will otherwise never in a million years be back.

Our waitress offered us more bread and we soaked it in the white wine sauce. All of these dishes stood well with a bottle of Chablis served to us with our own table-side Ice bucket. We switched to Kronenburg beer when we got an order of the MERGUEZ lamb sausages. A beautiful mix of textures with the dijon mustards sauce, green apple (though the menu said pear, maybe?) and the lemon vinaigrette tossed arugula. The acid in the vinaigrette neutralized the usual characteristic bitterness of the arugula. We ended the night with a shared creme brulee. Le Bilboquet - The Lamb Loin was tender & juicy and was upgraded in taste from the sweet/spicy kick that came from the chutney.

They had received a gift card to this restaurant as a birthday present and we met them there to enjoy a lunch together. First thing to remember is that there is a lot of construction going on in Cherry Creek which limits the amount of parking spaces available. I highly recommend carpooling with a friend or walking over to the restaurant if parked at the nearby mall. This is considered an upscale restaurant and is perfectly placed in Cherry Creek. My wife commented on the scent of flowers, coming through the door way when we first entered the restaurant. The dramatic lighting and welcoming staff were the next things that we noticed. Nearly every table was filled on this mid-afternoon Friday and it was a good thing that we made a reservation! Our server greeted us almost immediately, provided water and took our drink order. The tables are covered in tablecloths and have a foam topper that makes some of the glassware unsteady, but none of us had any spills. Our server was very patient and offered suggestions as we struggled to find what we wanted among the many good choices! The salads and soups were delivered to our booth fairly quickly and followed up in a reasonable time by our main lunch items. Real Sterling silverware, and the presentation of our meals was something that prompted all of us to want to photograph them! Serving sizes were appropriate, we didn't feel over stuffed and even took half a sandwich with us to go. The restaurant crowd thinned over the course of the 90+ minutes we were there, and never once did we feel slighted by our server who always maintain an awareness of our drinks and food. Great food coupled with excellent service in an environment that was easy to enjoy make this a must stop if you're traveling through Denver, meeting up for a business lunch, or simply enjoying an upscale meal with your favorite friends.
