    Munster cheese and ham pizza
    Andrew Y.

The pizzas seemed really popular here, so I ordered a Munster cheese pizza. I thought it was a bit too cheesy, but I managed to finish it anyways. Some of my friends thought the portions were huge. Overall, the food was tasty and at a decent price when considering portion size.

I've been going to this standby Alsatian-themed restaurant for years, and it is always reliable, and seemingly always open. If most restaurants are closed on certain days, chances are this spot will be your alternative lunch/dinner venue. My usual favourites include starting with some sort of fruits de mer (seafood platter), then, ordering a version of choucroute (pork with sauerkraut) as the main dish. I get too full by that point, so, I've never had dessert here. Best to order less than more, as portions are grand. I go with the Alsatian Riesling to start, followed by a nice light Pinot Noir from that region. Service is usually what it is here, confident, efficient, and no nonsense. All in all, always fun to visit, as the decorating is over-the-top, and there's usually a good mix of Parisians and tourists alike.

Very nice place. We had a seat outside and it was close to the road but it was not disturbing. We had the fruits de mer "chez Jenny" and it was excellent. The oysters were great as well as the bulots. The service was good, the waiter was very helpful and quick. I can certainly recommend this place.

The Choucroute platter dishes are very popular but other than that there is nothing good to say about this restaurant. Service was extremely slow but when it comes it was rough and hurried. Our server knocked off our bread basket and almost emptied my wine glass. The onion soup was pre-made then warmed and lukewarm. The soup was diluted and tasteless. My veal also had not taste... We left without dessert or coffee because we don't trust their kitchen any more. Paid €102 (2 pax + half bottle wine) for nothing. Definitely over-priced. One of the worse dinning experience we had in Paris.

We shared the 2-tiered seafood platter and gigantic pork plate (classic Alsatian style). Pork hock, sausages, pork bacon on a bed of sauerkraut. Plate of foie gras too. Tons of food with just 3 dishes. Seafood was fresh and bountiful. Service was attentive. We were eating pre-Euro cup and there wasn't a TV in the restaurant, so it was quiet. Very nice. Boiled food didn't sound appetizing but everything turned out tender and delicious.

Hmmmn..looking at other reviews and based on my recent dining experience(last night), I'm confused on how is this the same place. First of, our waiter (older french gentleman), was very snobby, lol!!- He came to our table only twice(to take our order and to give us our check), but that's with my husband flagging him since he was simply laughing and socializing w/ other French customers (we are not and asked for American menus), but I'd like like to point out, every 'paying' customer deserves the same amt of attention. We practically had to beg for a carafe of water!! The waiter succeeded in providing top notch deplorable customer service. It was as if, the only reason he had to serve us is because we were seated in his section. With bad service, likely the taste of food(ours were so-so, no veal nor lobster the night we dined) no matter how great, gives a lasting sour taste- almost of loathe. In the immortal words of Joel Hammond, "Pozika [insert 'Chez Jenny's snobby waiter section '] never f'ng go there"!!

The food was alright. Service and ambiance was good. We were seated quickly and I love the orchids! I just feel like it's a bit pricey for what you actually get.

Came here for lunch with a large group, we had the three course meal (salad, chicken, and pie). The food was above average, I definitely enjoyed the meal. However, the waiters were extremely impatient and made us feel rushed throughout the entire meal. While the food is delicious, the service is nothing worth raving about.

I settled on the Hal's crab and hubby had the Langoustine Ravioli, which was supposed to be a sharing size. The crab was cold but visually pleasing. There was not much seasoning so the mayo dipping sauce made for a bland tasting dish for me. Hubby enjoyed his Ravioli but the three small pieces did not really seem like a sharing size. Overall nice Paris experience but I definitely left there and ordered some takeout to fill in my empty space.

We ordered the seafood tower (whole stone crab, langostine, 6 oysters (3 local varieties), tiny fried shrimp in a cup, ten or so whelks. We also had the shrimp roll, a delectable sea bass ceviche, a bowl of tiny mussels in curry broth that was just SO delicious and a whole pan fried sea bream atop a thin cushion of pea purée and topped with red cabbage & carrot. Everything was superb and our server was swift and smiling throughout the evening. The restaurant itself is small & charming with a simple rustic feel. We felt it was undiscovered but it's likely it was just a slow night on a drizzly evening. I'd certainly recommend a visit!

Just finished a long bike ride to the Eiffel Tower and worked up an appetite. Decided to go straight to the main course. They are known for Au Gratins. My son is not a cheese fan so he opted for the norvigene (smoked salmon in dill lemon and EVOO. I decided to stick with the house specialty; Landais Au Gratin (cream potatoes, duck breast and emmental cheese). The 2 German girls beside me ordered a cider with both their meals so I followed their lead. When in Paris...... Considering the temperature, I almost second-guess myself and ordered something other than their house specialty of au gratin potatoes. In the end, I was very glad I overruled that thought. Brody enjoyed his meal. He just appeared to still be hungry when it was done and a 16 year-old boy that normally has a high caloric intake, I can understand why he wanted a second meal after eating his first! The restaurant in the patio were quite crowded even though we had reservations. They still sat us within five minutes of arrival. Not that five minutes is a long time to wait, but it was still worth the wait as good as the food tasted. We both enjoyed our meals.
