The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

However, the portions were more than expected considering it was gourmet. We couldn't finish our entrees. Good spot for French brunch as it is a top fine-food grocer and deli. I started with the free-range eggs with mayo, and my wife started with the leeks with vinaigrette. The eggs were delicious, but the leeks may have been the best preparation I've ever had in my life. For our main courses, she had the egg muffin, and I had the sausage and mash. Our meal was superb. Whoever is in the kitchen has clearly learned the art of French cuisine well. Service was fantastic, the people-watching (we ate al fresco) was fantastic, and I simply couldn't think of a way to make this a better meal.

Luca was my server and he was very welcoming in hospitable to this weary traveler. I sat on the patio towards the end of the row so I could take in the atmosphere and people watch a bit. Luca Recommended a meal with a mashed potatoes and sausage with French bread and salad and it sounded tasty so I gave it a go! All the flavors went well together; mashed potatoes were well seasoned the sausage had a good flavor, and the salad with the vinaigrette added a crunch in an extra flavor as well. I drank a French hard cider while I gobbled up my meal, which also was new for me and tasted great after I was done my meal. Luke brought me a shot with rum and some other ingredients, including lemon that definitely hit the spot after a good meal.I recommend Brasserie Belanger for anyone near GDN Train Station that enjoys great food and patio dining. Cheers!

Café Mademoiselle was nearby, had a sidewalk full of diners, and I grabbed a table quickly, fearful of getting shut out of lunchtime offerings entirely. I should know better than to order a salad in Paris. Not that they'e bad, simply that they're quite different than California salads. Quite different and not as appealing in my opinion. But another dish was also ordered at my table, an unusual choice for the two of us dining there. It was a special of the day, Araignee de Porc (23€), and not something I'd personally have chosen. It was delicious. French chefs know what to do with this cut of meat (pork) and I was wowed. The salad (Salad Nicoise, 23€) was almost forgotten as the pork dish took center stage. Service here is terse. The restroom is down a steep flight of stairs. The place serves many tourists, and does so in a manner that doesn't inspire one to harbor overly fond memories. But here's the recipe for success: find out what the chef's special is that day and order that. That's how you do Café Mademoiselle.
