We got five bids for the job, and R&M came in lower than the other four. They did an excellent job on all of it. Ramiro was great to work with. On a job this large, things change and new issues come up along the way, and he was flexible with us every single time. There was also an insurance claim involved, which meant a lot of extra detail and documentation on top of the actual construction work. He gladly provided everything we needed, every time we asked, and never treated it as an inconvenience. That made a genuinely stressful process much easier to manage. Rafa, our project manager, was our day-to-day on site and was outstanding. He was attentive, there consistently, and always responsive when we had questions or added something to the punch list. He never made us feel like we were bothering him and stayed on top of the details all the way through closeout. We were displaced to an Airbnb during the rebuild, which means we trusted this crew in our home while we weren't there. Everyone was friendly, courteous, on time, and cleaned up after themselves. More than one crew member told us they just wanted to make sure it was done the right way, and you could see that in the finished work. They went above and beyond on everything we needed. They return phone calls incredibly fast and they will work in any changes you may have. I found them to be honest and hard working every day that they are there. They are fair with costs and how much they charge per job and you walk away knowing that you got fabulous value for what they charged you. We had work done in all rooms including the addition of an Arizona Room , but for us it was a sewing room. Did it matter what the room was for? Yes in this instance it did, because I needed an excessive amount of light. They did a magnificent job, you couldn't even tell that the room was added on. They built the gazebo we had and they added a small putting green for the beginner golfers in us. They added new closet doors on our new closets. They did various electrical work in the house. They added a keyless entry onto our doors and did some work in the garage. They built us the best carport with a noiseless remote door. Anything we asked them to do they were able to do. If you want honest, fair and hard workers R&M is the business to use. You will be 200% satisfied!!

The Holtzman salesperson will tell you what you want to hear to get you to sign, and then (eventually) when the project starts, you'll hear something different from the project manager. When our project started, one of the first things we heard from the project manager was "I'm sorry, but he (the salesperson) shouldn't have told you that." Communication from the company was very poor. The project manager did not reach out with any proactive updates, instead I had to call / text regularly to find out what was happening and when. The usual response to my questions was "I don't know, I'll have to get back to you." They have an online schedule portal, but it was not updated by the project managers (we had 4 different project managers throughout the project), so the portal was practically useless. There were many delays and missed dates from Holtzman, there were surprise up-charges and items they forgot to order (causing more delays), but the real difficult part was the lack of communication. Not knowing what's going on is really unsettling when you've trusted someone with this type of project. The kitchen came out looking great. The people that come to the house to do the work are nice and friendly, and generally do good work. But the communication and lack of accountability from the company is embarrassing. If my name were on this company, I would take more pride in the work and try to improve how they treat customers. I would strongly advise anyone to go with another company and save yourself months of delays and many headaches from dealing with Holtzman.

The frustration level finally reached its peak. We called & they responded with "thats how we work at this company" please note we told them before we signed that we DID NOT want that to happen. They said they didn't work that way. The contractors that came out were professional & did nice work. The overall project we are happy with. BUT the frustration level of a small project lasting 8 months ... We wii never use this Company again. I submitted a request through Yelp, and Global Prevention Services responded and got me scheduled for a consultation immediately. Shortly after this consultation, the Global Prevention Services Project Coordinator, Kimberly, put together several service estimates for me, as we weren't yet sure the direction we wanted to go with the shower tile. Kimberly was patient with us as we picked out materials and went back and forth on what we wanted to do! Due to our mold experience, we ultimately decided we wanted to limit the amount of grout in the shower, in hopes of minimizing the chances of it failing. With that, we started the reconstruction! Throughout the whole process, Kimberly and Rudy, the project manager, were incredibly thorough, communicative, and overall, just really helpful. We could not be more grateful for the time and effort both Kimberly and Rudy spent trying to make our shower dreams come true. I reached out to one of his past reviewers before hiring him, just to confirm they had a good experience and they had nothing but great things to say. Now I understand why. Andrew handled demo, moved the shower to a different wall, installed all new tile, plumbing, lighting, and built the entire shower from scratch. He also has a strong eye for design and helped guide decisions in a way that felt collaborative, not pushy. He showed up exactly when he said he would every single day and worked full 8-10 hour days until everything was complete. His communication stayed clear, consistent, and reliable. He kept the job site clean, contained the dust to one area, and was extremely respectful of my home. I took notice that he was the only contractor who took his shoes off at the door when walking thru to bid. That said a lot to me about him. He continued to do things that showed his good nature and great character. Another thing I really appreciated was I felt that he genuinely looked out for me. The goal was to expand an existing, view-facing deck on the back of my home... while also adding a whole new room to the downstairs part of the home by utilizing the newly created space underneath the deck expansion. I had prepared my 'back of the napkin' drawings in some detail and Steve, Sheila and team were able to stick closely to my design concepts throughout the project, while professionally upgrading the drawings for all of the necessary planning and approval steps that were required along the way. Steve also accompanied me to the City Planning Hearing in order to get city approval to expand beyond the allowable 'footprint' of my home for the project to move forward... and it all came off without a hitch. Nine months later and we are enjoying the views of Lookout Mountain from our outdoor kitchen atop our newly-expanded (and now partially covered & misted) deck. The "new" side matches the pre-existing side perfectly, and the deck flooring upgrade has been absolutely fantastic. We've added several hundred square feet of VERY usable outdoor space just off of our kitchen and living areas, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The downstairs room addition is equally as fantastic, and even the few issues that needed follow-up were handled as courteously as one might hope for.
