I'm not sure who the old guy that Everyone complains about in the comments name is, that alone says a lot, but he seems to run the shop. I was extremely agitated with my visit here for multiple reasons that I will try to summarize. I walk in as I need a tire replaced and a "free" diagnostic as advertised. The 'free' diagnostic is apparently not free but costs a whopping $130! Apparently they can run the code for 'free' but they can't interpret it without $130. I say okay give me the free code, but don't interpret the diagnostic if it costs that much. I leave my car because it needs to stay overnight. This was unclear as they only asked if I was dropping off and picking back up. But fine, not an issue. By evening, I receive a quote for $850 because in addition to 1 tire, I need to replace another tire, balancing and alignment, replace an air filter and a manifold pressure sensor because they interpreted the diagnostic anyway of course. Okay. I return the next day for pick up and my quote is now $1000. The old guy swears up and down that he told me this on the phone. He was getting frustrated, raising his voice at me. I asked them to remove the tire alignment and air filter which they did to bring my price back down to the original quote. They gave me the actual diagnostic for 'Free'. I actually have a preferred mechanic that works on my car and thought this would be a simple tire replacement. So I stressed that I did not ask for any service other than the replacement of two tires and the manifold pressure sensor was not something that I came in for but they had already put it on, so I paid for it. He tells me I can collect my car at 2 PM same day when I had to come back and give them my wheel lock that he did not check for the day before when it was dropped off. I leave at 12:20 and by 12:40, he calls and says my car is ready. I asked why did he tell me I can come back at 2 PM if I could've just waited there for 20 more minutes and he says he put the car on rush but I already left. Communication is terrible. They need to send people exact quotes in writing, exact services that will be performed in writing, because relying on verbal confirmation for every thing and then arguing over what he thinks he said vs what I heard is insane. I don't recommend unless you walk with a pen and a paper and write down everything he says as he says it. I'm not coming back.

If he would have kindly gave me a courtesy jump I would have came right back after dropping my son at school and gave them my business. Instead, I drove to another auto shop and had my battery replaced. Terrible customer service and not a great way to earn new customers.

We found Ancash Roadside Assistance on Yelp and called because they had such great reviews. He answered immediately, sent me a location-sharing request, and arrived in about 20 minutes. After spending nearly two hours stranded on the side of the road, that level of responsiveness was a huge relief. Once he arrived, he got right to work and had the tire changed in less than 15 minutes. The entire process was quick, efficient, and stress-free, and we were safely back on the road much faster than expected. My only suggestion for improvement would be to introduce yourself before getting started. It was dark, and we were two women stranded on the side of the highway. When he arrived, he pulled up behind us and immediately started changing the tire without introducing himself. I genuinely appreciated the urgency and willingness to jump right in and get the job done, but in that situation, a quick introduction would have gone a long way in helping us feel more comfortable and know that the person approaching our vehicle was the roadside assistance we had called. Overall, though, the service was excellent. He showed up when we needed help, worked quickly, and got us moving again in no time. If you're stranded with a flat tire and need someone reliable, I would definitely recommend Ancash Roadside Assistance.

To me it seems the job was done incorrect and negligently then tried to quote me over $1300 worth of work on the vehicle. They didn't release my vehicle until I paid the $1,000+ balance even though my car was not properly fixed. I have been a frequent guest here since 2021 with multiple different cars of both Japanese and Euro…read morebrands. I've always been treated well, and while the pricing isn't the cheapest, I don't think it is unreasonable for the neighborhood they are in, and the brands they service. I have been comfortable knowing that there aren't shenanigans going on here. I like the inspection report that lists all major areas of my cars and if there is a recommended action. I also like that when I speak to Lucas, he ballparks when I need things done in case I want to spread out preventative maintenance. I've since left the region, but I do still visit a few times a year, and work in my service visits while I'm in town. That's probably the biggest endorsement I can give.
