I recently had a great experience at Langley Exxon auto service, and it all happened by chance. My…read more2009 BMW gave me a low coolant warning while I was driving toward the George Washington Parkway and I pulled over into the Exxon station to see if they could put coolant in for me. In the two minutes I stood explaining the problem to Babu--the world's most quietly confident automobile technician--it was clear from the puddle under the car that this wasn't just a low coolant situation. This was a massive coolant leak. It turned out a tube had completely ruptured and the day (not to mention my engine) was saved by having pulled into the station before I got on the highway. I left the car in Babu's capable hands and told him I'd like to have him repair the leak and also do the routine service and recharge the freon as long as I was there. He called the next day with a very reasonable estimate and all the work was done 24 hours later. He even identified a small oil leak I already knew about, and gave the same assessment as my other technician at my last routine service--that it was a small leak, would be hard to repair, and it was a judgment call on my part whether to fix it now or later. I decided to have it taken care of this time, and was grateful to know that two different sets of trained eyes had agreed on the problem and its severity. Long story short: I had a good feeling about Babu when I left the car with him, and an even better feeling after I picked it up!

The quote came back for over $2,000 for brake fluid flush, transmission fluid flush, radiator flush, tire rotation, and oil change with $150 diagnostic fee that would be waived if we went ahead with the work. In giving me the estimate all the extras were rattled off without even mentioning the chief complaint, the shimmy. I paid the $170 oil change, and $50 tire rotation in lieu of the diagnostic fee. The next day I took the car to Clarendon Tire where they did a road pressure balance and resolved the tire pressure sensor for $75. I will never have Anderson Sunoco do any work on our cars. That experience was a disgusting money grab that demonstrated either dishonesty or incompetence.

Recently after eight years, the battery went dead on my wife's car. I took it to BP and they fixed it within four hours at an unbelievably reasonable price. It would've cost me almost the same if I had gone to AutoZone and bought the battery myself and tried not to mess it up (MB code resets etc.)...most importantly they did it same day so we had the car back by 5:30 PM. Gus is awesome!

I would give ZERO stars if I could…read more In July, I brought my 2017 vehicle to this shop because it was leaking oil and coolant. The water pump had also been replaced by them only a few months earlier. They kept the car for about three days and charged me approximately $1,500 to fix the leaks. The very next day, the car was still leaking. I returned and was told it was just old oil and was advised to drive a few hundred miles. After about 300 miles, a red oil/engine warning light came on. I contacted the shop and was told to add oil and drive the car back. Shortly afterward, the engine seized and the car stopped running. I was then told I needed an engine replacement or rebuild costing approximately $7,000-$10,000. I repeatedly reported the leaks, trusted their diagnosis and followed their advice, yet the problem was never properly resolved. I have receipts, messages, videos, and documentation supporting the timeline. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop. I trusted them with my vehicle, and the result was extremely costly and devastating.

Best gas station ever!!…read more For the most part WaWa wins in the gas station department because I really like their soups/deli and their more unique selections. But if I had to list best gas station places of all time, this would still edge out all the WaWa's. First, the DONUTS! They have a Boston Cream donut that has the best filling ever and it is packed to the brim with the filling and it is the most amazing donut in existence. And I have yet to find a Boston Creme donut anywhere as fantastic as the one here. How disappointing it is for me when I go to 7-11, excitedly purchase a Boston Creme and stuff it in my face only to find that the filling is not the same or they majorly skimped on it. I wish more places carried the exact same bursting Boston Cremes as this Exxon did. These donuts are HEAVEN. Coffee Bar: their coffee bar is like most 7-11 coffee bars, cheap and with lots of different varieties to choose from. They have cinnamon too which puts it over WaWa's coffee bar. For some reason, WaWa's never have cinnamon at the coffee bar to sprinkle on. That is a major bummer. This place also has a large selection of candy, much larger than some of the other convenience stores in the area, trashy CDs and Redskins stuff. They still have Nerds ropes which seem to be disappearing from convenience stores everywhere! There is also a car wash here that is pretty efficient and there is a large pumping area so I have never had to wait to fill up. I'm not sure what more to say about this place. They just keep luring me back there with their Boston Creams and their coffee bar and their candy. Irresistible. If you need gas, or even if you don't need gas and just want the joy of some amazing road food, this is THE place to stop!

4625 Columbia Pike, Arlington VA…read more I could not believe what I read when I saw the first review that was bad. Very obvious, it's written by another mechanic that failed to compete. lol Let me tell you something: I have never seen such a mechanic as HENOK. Not only is he the neatest mechanic, I have ever seen but also so humble, down to earth, honest and committed! No wonder the place is full of cars waiting for him. I had complicated issues with my Lincoln mkz 2019. I came here twice after being referred by other friends. The first time, he did the best job. Other mechanic saw the work when my car broke down else where for other reasons and confirmed, it was the best work done! . And they couldn't fix the problem so I brought the car alll the way to him again. Believe it or not, my car is running now better than when I bought it! The guy is absolutely fantastic. All the people waiting agree with me that there is no-one like him. He is an outstanding sophisticated mechanic. You want to leave, he tells you to wait, to do some quality checks and spends more time end effort in his work. Do not miss out on Henok. He does so much more than you came for. The money that he charges is way less than it supposed to. Have you cars treated by him ONLY! I'm telling you! Wednesday, 11/13/2024 another visit at BP, Columbia pike. This is my third time I meet this guy. I spoke to a guy that also confirmed to me that he was who I think he was. He said that HENOK made the gas station the most famous in Arlington. Can you imagine??? So I arrived in the morning with my Lincoln MKZ, that started a night before gmmaking the weirdest noise I ever heard on a car. It sounded like I. Was pulling a ton of luminI'm and metal bars on the ground. It was so loud, everybody was looking at me. It was embarasding Diving through the cities. It started in Baltimore, I googled it. On YouTube where others with same problem, even a mechanic that was trying to find out what it was. I went to a mechanic that first said. I needed to pay $100 to diagnose but later took it back and said, this is weird. He doesn't know. I should take it to Lincoln, he can't help me. So I drove all the way with that noise. HENOK was super busy as always but at some point he came asked me to reverse the car, then to drive a little bit forward. He said it's a rock! When I asked him how he knew, he said; he heard it! I swear to God. He just run came back with his tools. It took him a minute to take a piece of rock out of somewhere and threw it away. Run back to his other car!I went to him, he turned around and said: you can go. i can't charge you for that. And guess what: I came broke to him and didn't have a chance to tell him that I wanted to pay another day Before he fixed it.. it just went to quick and couldn't find the right timing. So when I went to him and called him, turning around, telling me, I can't charge you for that. You can go???? It was like he read my mind! people, please please please go there and create your own opinion, based on your experience. There literary everyone talking about this amazing guy. He is not only skilled, it's the whole package. If you don't meet HENOK, you really are missing out. He is almost an attraction. Please just go there!!! You hear this from the most difficult person who always finds a reason to complain (me)! By the way. My experience with HENOK is by far the best consumer experience ever in my life. I'm just blown away by this guy each time I met him. I have so much respect. He is not only a genius but a child of God. So much humbleness, I have never seen in someone with such high skills!!! WE THANK YOU!!!! WE LOVE YOU HENOK!!!! you're a lion!!!!
