Took our Sienna in because it had a shimmy, the tire pressure light was on, and needed an oil change. The quote came back for over $2,000 for brake fluid flush, transmission fluid flush, radiator flush, tire rotation, and oil change with $150 diagnostic fee that would be waived if we went ahead with the work. In giving me the estimate all the extras were rattled off without even mentioning the chief complaint, the shimmy. I paid the $170 oil change, and $50 tire rotation in lieu of the diagnostic fee. The next day I took the car to Clarendon Tire where they did a road pressure balance and resolved the tire pressure sensor for $75. I will never have Anderson Sunoco do any work on our cars. That experience was a disgusting money grab that demonstrated either dishonesty or incompetence. read more

I experienced the same surly guy at the cash register when I tried to understand His opaque instructions on lining up for inspections. Although I was told that inspections require 20 minutes - very long- the car before mine required twice that much, including some downtime. The folks at this station used to be pretty nice and helpful, but the guy who works the register now is remarkably rude. One time, I needed a tire plugged/patched, and he seemed annoyed at having to do it (and charge me way more than I expected for it to boot). More recently, I showed up for an emissions inspection and asked if I could drop it off. He rather rudely and dismissively told me no drop-offs and I needed to stay with the car. I'm sure there's a good reason for their policy, but there's a polite way to convey it and a rude way. He defaults to the latter, and did not offer any kind of explanation for the policy. I've had safety and emissions inspections done here and wind shield wipers changed. Everything was quick, including the drop-off. There was another time that I had a less than positive experience due to a miscommunication, but one of the owners Mark reached out to me very quickly, explained the situation and gave me a full refund. So I think they're an honest crew who do a good job, and if something does go wrong, they care enough to make it right. That's a 5-star business in my book. read more

I got a safety inspection today and one of my brake lights was out. The safety inspector replaced it for me in the spot for only $25, and tried two different light bulbs until he got one to work properly. I was very happy and impressed with how he went out of his way to help me. read more

Honest, fast, and friendly summarizes my experience with Scott and Miguel at Anderson Sunoco. My power steering stopped working on my 09' BMW 335i. BMW told me I had to replace the Pump, pulley, and hose for $2k (picture attached). I spoke with Scott over the phone and he gave me a preliminary estimate of approx $700. When I brought him the car he gave it back to me 45 min later working. He said the hose had a minor leak and the pump is fine. They repaired the hose and gave me a bill of $120. We were getting ready for travel on a Wednesday leaving early on Friday morning. When accelerating I noticed the engine was racing and the wheels were not keeping in sync. Drove over to the Sunoco to check in with the mechanic. He came out and made the diagnosis the clutch and possibly the flywheel. As it goes he could take my truck and work on it later that day. Today I was going to drop my car for inspection and come back but there was no line so they told me they could do it right away. I ran out of gas on a Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago and was able to coast into the parking lot next to the Sunoco, but no further. After I bought a gas can and filled it at Sunoco, I emptied the can into my tank. My car still didn't start. As I called a tow truck, the owner of the Sunoco, Joseph Azar, came out to help me and could not have been nicer. He explained how a few gallons might not have been enough to get the engine to turn over, helped me with the towing to his station, and helped me get my car going again, after I had filled the tank (it didn't start up again immediately). Joseph was so nice to come out and help me and did a great job. Plenty of gas stations near the Sunoco, but I will always give them my business. read more

My go-to for car stuff in Arlington for 20 years. Just last week I dropped off my Subaru when "check engine" light and a couple other warning signs came on. I saw pricey repair ahead. Anderson ran diagnostics and discovered only thing needed was reseating fuel cap which they did (gratis). I'd signed up for summer check-up program, but they said it wasn't needed.
