I came to the shop a couple days ago because my car was not starting, they promised to fix my vehicle by changing out the timing belt and water pump. I agreed to over $1000+ worth of work and was told this will make vehicle run as it was before. After the work was completed I arrived to the shop and my vehicle was starting weird and check engine light was on now, these were not issues before the car came to the shop. To me it seems the job was done incorrect and negligently then tried to quote me over $1300 worth of work on the vehicle. They didn't release my vehicle until I paid the $1,000+ balance even though my car was not properly fixed. They were super flexible in terms of time as I called an hour prior and they were able to fit me in immediately. I was a few hours away from home when the check engine light to my car just turned on. Best Mechanic EVER!!! Felix is the Car Whisperer!! I found Felix on Yelp almost a year ago when I was looking for an emergency plug for my tire I got on the way to work. I know my car was in bed of attention in some other areas as well, but first things, get the tire fixed. Needless to say, I took my car over to Felix for the flat tire and have never looked backed! As I waiting in the waiting area, I began describing an issue I was having with my clutch. Just as I asked Frank for a quote on the job, Felix swings open the door to the garage area and says, "You gonna need a new clutch!" I have a belly chuckle because Felix drive my car less than 150 ft. And told me exactly what I had described as my issue to Frank moments before! Unbeknownst to Frank and Felix, I had taken my car to four other shops in the areas and they wouldn't take a look at my car without wanting to charge me. One shop even told me it would take to hours to diagnose and find the problem with my car. They had car for half a day, charged $70 for the diagnostics test and quoted me close to $3000 for the actual work. I declined the work and looked elsewhere... I believe my flat tire was the guardian angel that led me to Felix and Yelp! Since then, Felix and Frank have taken care of my clutch, tires, oil change, light bulbs, inspection, and any other mechanic need that I have had in the past year! Above and beyond! Last week I took my car to a different garage for the yearly state inspection. They told me the rear brake rotors were rusted and corroded and needed to be replaced. I called around to a few garages and dealerships, and Felix's son Frank offered me the best price. (He even texted me a link to an itemized price quote. Nice!) When I brought in my car this morning, Felix took the time to show and explain to me what the corrosion looked like and what caused it. He even gave me a ride home so I wouldn't have to pay for a Lyft! And when I came to pick up my car a few hours later, he put air in my tires as a courtesy, and when I asked him about some scratches in the paint and how much it might cost to fix them, he grabbed a can of "magic spray" and buffed out all of the scuff marks, then added a coat of gloss. All in all, he spent probably 15-20 minutes buffing and polishing while we chatted, all at no charge, simply because I asked how much it would cost to fix the scratches. (He also said he would send me the contact information of a guy he'd recommend to do a more heavy-duty detail job to take care of the bigger scratches.)
