I keep trying this place and get disappointed everytime. I heard the cook bought it from the owner. But man im sorry the food is just meh. There are so many good breakfast places in town. This is a nice local breakfast/lunch place. I ordered the three egg meat omelette (bacon, sausage, and ham) that came with home fries, and toast. I was not asked what type of toast I would like so I don't believe there were any options other then white.The omelette was cooked to perfection, and was packed with meat. Home fries were good, but only lightly seasoned, and not crispy. My wife had the french toast with two eggs, and bacon. The french toast was excellent. As far as coffee goes,the coffee cups were very small. The regular coffee was only warm not hot, and was bitter. The decaf was hot, and was very good. The service was excellent. read more

I posted pictures of what we ate along with pages of the menu. We ordered eggs over easy, hash browns and a short stack. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hash browns were very well seasoned. The pancakes were excellent. Maybe I was just very hungry, but they tasted a bit different from most others I've had anywhere else. They were moist, sweet and not very heavy. Really very good. The service was quick and attentive. I look forward to returning for lunch and possibly dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings. I asked about the dinner menu. Cheshire place is just great! Small, cozy, fresh made food. I have been here a bunch of times now and each time has been fantastic. My favorite is the Irish Benedict (pic below). Found this place after we looked on Yelp and liked the reviews. We were a party of 4. Two people liked their breakfast and 2 didn't. I had a Spanish omelet, and my daughter had a pancake, they were good. My wife had a 4 cheese omelet, she didn't like it, said she could only taste 1 kind of cheese. My son ordered the eggs Benedict with homemade corned beef hash special. He said the hash didn't taste to good. Another great meal at Cheshire Place. Shannon our waitress was so friendly, kind, and attentive and made us feel very welcome. I had the Cheshire Place pancakes, which were absolutely delicious. The pancakes were light and fluffy and the bananas and blueberries were perfectly incorporated into the batter. The strawberries that topped the stack were so fresh and full of flavor. My husband opted for the California veggie burger special and he was equally impressed with his meal. The avocado was perfect as were the cole slaw and potato salad. Both our meals with coffee, tax, and tip (20%) was under $25. We were out under an hour, which makes this place ideal for a quick home cooked bite to eat. Looking forward to our next meal! read more

We love Cheshire Place and visit at least once a week. It's basic diner food, but it's really good and reasonable prices. Our favorites: Eggs benedict (especially the Irish Benedict), California omelet, Mexican burrito. Usually chili in the winter months - very tasty with just enough kick, and great burgers. read more

We stopped on to Cheshire Place for the first time and had a great breakfast! The eggs Benedict Florentine was cooked perfectly and my wife's omelette was great as well...both accompanied by homemade breakfast potatoes. We'll definitely be back, keep up the good work! My only feedback has more to do with the ambiance... Perhaps play some music or install a tv above the breakfast bar with the news on or music, just to add some background noise. Cheshire folk can be painfully "quiet," and it was almost like our conversation could be heard by all A few pics of cheshire on the walls or something to fill up the empty wall space would make it a bit more cozy as well. All in all, great food, attentive staff (though a bit inexperienced), and a welcomed addition to amuch needed cheshire breakfast scene. read more

Great breakfast and lunch spot. Standard menu with some nice unique menu items. Mexican omelet is one of my favorites. Little crowded at peak times so a wait is to be expected, but worth it. I pass Cheshire Place everyday and decided to give it a try for the first time. Upon entering, the place was very clean, bright, and welcoming. I was greeting promptly and the staff was pleasant. Once I was seated, the waitress was very friendly and accommodating. She answered all my questions well. I had a 3 egg omelet with cheese, sausage, and spinach. No homefries and no toast. I also added a side of Corned Beef Hash. The food came out quickly and the omelet was very good. Not greasy, not runny, and not over cooked. It was loaded with spinach and sausage. I then tried the corned beef hash and two words....HOLY S$&T! This was by far the best corned beef hash I have tried. It was loaded with corned beef, had a little onion and just a little potato. It was well grilled and the flavor was amazing! This alone will make me come back! All in all, I would recommend this place based on what I had! read more

Ummmm yes to this breakfast place minutes from my door!! Cheshire needed a place like this. We ordered a toasted muffin, eggs with corned beef hash, and an omelette. We were all pleased with our food!! The corned beef hash is excellent and not from a can, like some diners use. It was delicious. Servings are enormous. Come hungry!! First and last time going to Cheshire Place. Ordered a hash omelette. I've ordered this in a lot of places and there were pieces of corned beef with no potatoes. Was just not what you expect for a hash omelette. They must've gave the child size portion of hash browns and didn't make them well done as requested. Chocolate chip pancake one daughter ordered was decent but subpar to other breakfast places. "Wasn't as fluffy and big as other places.". If you're spending money for breakfast it should be done halfway decent. read more

I ate here once and attempted to try it again, but because of very slow service, we left without ever getting a menu. The food was very good on our first visit, but the waitress was very inappropriate. She was mocking her co-worker's limited English skills to customers. We went back on a Sunday morning and it was busy. There were only 2 servers and 1 hostess. We were seated, but after almost 10 minutes we were never even given menus so we left.
