a cherry pie with ice cream on top
Tristan A.

My secret pie place. I dream about the banana cream pie. Excellent ice cream as well at 1950 prices. Another visit - October/2010 They only now do the cream pies by order. So all they have is berry, apple and pumpkin type pies. The razzleberry I had was good, but the crust was under-done. sigh. There was a caramel apple pie on the menu, so I wish I had gone there. Ice cream was still delish. AND sorry, the splash park and the cafe are closed after Halloween.

Creamy and delicious cream pies, cherry, apple, chapple, and Razzleberry pie. Freshly made every day!!

Ya, really not 5, but 530 is the actual opening time.

The pie was ok, nothing to write home about. We took the pie home and they didn't have the correct size box for the pies.

Easily the best restaurant in Layton. My wife and I are regulars, coming back again and again for…read morethe sandwiches, empanadas, and desserts. The service is consistently great and the value is hard to beat. The sandwiches are a highlight, and my personal ranking so far: 1. Sandwich de Matambre 2. Sandwich Aconcagua 3. Sandwich de Milanesa 4. Choripán Sandwich Two more still on my list to try, but the bar is already high. The new pepperoni and cheese empanadas are a must, and honestly every dessert I've had has been outstanding.

What a fun find! I needed to break my fast today, but didn't just want to go to fast food. I drove…read morea little farther from Farmington to try some empanadas. It was a little deceiving at first, because the parking lot looked a little empty (some of the other store fronts surrounding it looked empty too). I was happy to find it tucked around the corner. When you walk it, they have a little grocery area and the pastry counter. As you walk past the grocery aisles, you can find the restaurant seating area, which is a pretty big space. I was a bit short on time, so I chose some empanadas and some pastries to go. I tried the chicken, beef, and ham & cheese, which were all delicious. I got this pastry with a fruit similar to guava, which I devoured as well. The staff was super helpful and very patient with me and my indecisiveness. I hope to come back the next time I'm in the area!

My family loves Aubergine, and this visit did not disappoint! This time I tried the Donny Bowl with…read morefalafel, and it was honestly a 10/10 -- super flavorful and really satisfying. Portions felt very fair, and everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. Also ordered the immune boost smoothie, which was both delicious and felt like a healthier treat. Service was decent overall, though my order took a bit longer than I've experienced at similar spots. That said, the restaurant felt very clean, and I really enjoyed the outdoor seating area. Definitely a spot we'll keep coming back to!

I love the concept of this place and really wanted to like it, but everything in my mango salmon…read morebowl was bland and crying out for seasoning. There are so many well-labeled DF/GF/vegan options- bowls, plates, Acai bowls, desserts- the menu looks intentional and amazing (especially as someone who's DF). It's also a cozy, thoughtfully-decorated place. Anyone with food restrictions or anyone who likes fresh, healthy food could find something to eat here. The ordering process was lengthy and a little chaotic. I asked to sub the spicy mango sauce (which sounded great) for whatever came with my bowl, the cashier said it already came with that sauce, and it actually didn't. However, relying on a sauce to season an entire bowl of food is questionable- in the end, season the food while cooking it. I may still need to return to try the Acai bowls or DF dessert, but Vessel does the rest of this type of food better and more inexpensively.
