I go here quite often! This is a local bakery that most people in my area shop! I don't go much anymore, got to watch my sugar intake. Years ago they made full size eclairs. With lots of yummy pudding inside and lots of chocolate frosting! They have changed their recipe and make them smaller, they just don't taste the same but the doughnuts and cookies and maple bars are outstanding. The service is always with a smile and very helpful! I had never ordered a cake before so I didn't know the options. When I went in to the store the woman helping me gave me the basics. When I went home I looked at their website and saw a whole bunch more. The woman on the phone was very helpful and walked me through ordering a different cake. The cake itself was beautiful and the recipient was so happy with it. We got the lemon poppyseed with lemon buttercream frosting. Really good! The lemon filling was very tart for a soft cake so I wouldn't add that again. The cake was very heavy but makes sense given the price. Also I was helped out of the store to my car so I wouldn't smash the top of the cake while I carried a box of treats for ourselves. The donut holes were delightful. Overall we were extremely pleased and will definitely be back. Any negatives were outweighed by the positive things. The bakery is great but you should only have employees that know how to make change work the register. I got the wrong change and told the girl at the register, after the 2nd time I gave up since the change was close to the real amount even though a little short. I live pretty far from this place but my work has brought in their cinnamon rolls lots of times and I'm hooked! They're amazing! The best cinnamon roll I've ever had. So I made it a plan to drive up there one Saturday afternoon. I pulled up around 3 pm only to find out they were totally sold out of their cinnamon rolls. Bummer! I thought coming 3 hours before closing that they'd have options still available but I guess their cinnamon rolls are just that good! I didn't want to leave empty handed, especially since it was quite the drive for me so I decided to get a variety of things. I picked their sugar cookie, milk chocolate chip cookie, semi sweet chocolate chip cookie, and white cake donut. All of these were delicious. It's no surprise since their cinnamon rolls are so good. You really can't go wrong with anything from here, at least the variety of things I've tried from here tells me that! Pretty disappointing. I wanted a donut but went with and orange roll and I think I chose wrong but then I noticed a fly in the donut display case so maybe it was for the best. The orange roll tasted like a standard dinner roll but with artificially flavored orange frosting on top- I feel like it may be flavored with orange jello powder. My friend gave me a bite of his brownie and it was better than the orange roll but nothing exciting. read more

The staff was kind, quick and efficient. The orange roll was lovely and tasty. We asked for something with almond in it and were disappointed that the rasperry danish which was supposed to have frangipane, didn't test anything like almond, and was very gooey in the middle. Whenever I'm in the area I stop in for my favorite treat they make, the coconut chocolate chip cookie. They are crammed full of chocolate and coconut and just so delicious. After all the great IG photos, I was disappointed with what I had that day. As another reviewer pointed out there must be an addicting ingredient, the crack is called sugar. I know these are desserts but there can be something as too much sugar in a dessert. But not all was lost. The eclair was pretty decent, as were the donut holes. The kouign amann was a pretty decent attempt but I didn't not appreciate the hard caramel blob on it. I'm sure there are others that would disagree. But perhaps the most disappointing was the apple fritter. It was more like glaze covered cinnamon bread. None of the texture one typically finds in a fried fritter. Maybe it wasn't fried, that would actually explain a lot of things. Also mine didn't seem to have any apples in it. Speaking of explaining, the staff is quite friendly and helpful at explaining what was what for a first timer. However some signage with pricing on the pastries would be nice. Maybe my sugar tolerance level is lower than most but this is not the bakery for me. Maybe if I had to get something sweet in the area I'd find a dessert that works for me. read more

If you're looking for a rad bakery then this is the spot. They have really lovely soup that changes from day to day and it comes with a homemade roll. One of my favorite things here is the pumpkin cookie as well as the dinosaur sugar cookies. My favorite roll is the cheese roll. My favorite soup is the chili. It's super tasty. A staple in our house for years, Parson's Raisin Filled cookies were a hit with young and old. We moved 10 years ago but whenever we're in town, we stop for more. The last two times, April 2023 and Thursday, October 5, 2023 we cussed them all the way home, a 5 hour drive. The dough is still delicious but the quantity of raisins has been slashed to almost nothing. Their excuse was, "if they put too much in, the filling bubbles out and burns the oven. My question is, "Wher'd your bakers learn anyway?Figure it out guys-other bakers can." So disappointed, won't be back until they come to their senses. read more

I love Parsons' Bakery, except I know I always have to get there early in order for their menu to be fresh. That statement sounds like a no-brainer, but there's a reason - consistently the products at Parsons are over cooked. If you get them early in the morning, the over-cooked is somewhat doable because it's fresh. However, I will never visit Parsons after Noon because by that time the freshness has faded and we're left with an overcooked product. Dark brown donuts, Persians, pretzel rolls, cinnamon rolls, pastries, cakes, cookies...this isn't a once in a while thing, it is on the regular, time and time and time again, totally over cooked. read more

I enjoy coming here for their raspberry filled cookies!! Most of their stuff is good, but I have had a couple things that were just ok. The bakery is cute and they offer a great selection! The workers are all mostly teenagers so it's hit and miss with the service sometimes it's great and sometimes they barely say 5 words.
