I went back in January of this year, took me forever to find this place again. It is a hidden gem! They had so many delicious baked goods, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, and some of them Vegan! Their Cinnamon Rolls were absolutely the best thing here. I don't remember the cashiers name, but he was awesome as well. Gave me a discount and let us have taste tests! He was super cool and definitely upped the vibes. The only negative was that they didn't have any sort of seating besides a wooden table that was off limits it seemed? But the owner let us sit there. First off, whether you are gluten-free or not, hands-down this place has the best cinnamon roll in the state of Utah, so if your wife is gluten-free and you think a place like this has nothing to offer you, you need to get in your car right now and drive to bountiful and get a cinnamon roll, you may need to get two! because you will want one later. I love the people behind This establishment and the work that goes into it. It's like the high-quality stuff that you would expect to get at your grandma's house with the care and intention in the ingredients while still being something decadent and delicious in everything they have. They were the first gluten free bakery around here and have really perfected everything they do! This is the third time I've tried this bakery. I didn't like the brownie or peanut butter bar the first time I came, they tasted almost bitter without sweetness, but I thought I'd try this bakery again and get other items. This time was great! The lemon bar is super good. The highlight was the lemon lavender cupcake. That's not something I'd normally try but I asked the girl behind the counter for a recommendation and am so glad I did! Really good. The cinnamon roll was great too. The blueberry lemon bar is good as well- very lemony if you like lemon. So glad I went back. Definitely worth a try. I was skeptical yet eager to try this new bake shop on Main Street. As a gluten-free bake shop, i wasn't sure what to expect. They primarily use coconut flour and almond flour as replacement, along with other creative substitutes. I was surprised on a Friday afternoon to find a line and now I understand why. The treats are delicious! I ordered a sugar cookie, mint brownie, cookie grab bag, and bag of rolls. Apart from the mint brownie which was too "minty" (my daughter said it tasted like toothpaste), everything was so good. My favorite was one of the cookies, I think it was oatmeal chocolate chip. Having a child with a gluten intolerance it is hard to find treats that don't hurt her stomach and this place will become a favorite for sure. This is a great place to stop for those that struggle with food intolerances. The service is good but at times I wish more personable. They specialize in gluten free and vegan options. The flavors are rotational, so it's nice to have variety instead of a constant flavor choice. I gave up trying to come in for items advertised on their menu. I'm tired of looking forward to a certain treat all week and leaving disappointed every time. There's always an excuse. There's always the false promises to come back in a couple hours just to be told that they didn't get around to making them after all. It's a nice bakery and I love that it's local. Everything here is incredible. I have celiac disease and this is my go-to for all of my baked good needs in the Salt Lake valley area. There are some other bakeries with GF options, but they don't even compare to this bakery. I come here every couple of months and it never disappoints. The cinnamon rolls are awesome, the orange rolls and raspberry rolls are even BETTER- if you come here you MUST try the orange rolls, and ask them to heat it up. So soft, fresh, and delicious. A friend brought them to my class for his bday once and all of the non-GF people were blown away by how good they are. I've had several of their bars, cupcakes, and cookies as well. Cookies are amazing- so soft and not crumbly and dry like store-bought. The cupcakes are good too, but I think their other offerings are better. The Carmelita (bar) is my favorite, as well as the strawberry cheesecake bar. Moreover, I ordered my 1st wedding anniversary cake from this bakery. I tried to save the top tier of my wedding cake, but it didn't last. The original was banana's foster, and we were so disappointed that it didn't last. Sweet Cake recreated it for me! We were wanting to do our wedding cake through here and we started our process in October last year. We got scheduled a cake tasting and got there and sat outside for over an hour waiting for ally to show, there were workers inside that wouldn't let us in and just watched us sit outside. After an hour they came out and told us ally isnt going to come and we need to reschedule. ( we would've loved to have been told over an hour ago that you knew you weren't going to make it) We happily reschedule and come back for the next appointment, ally again didn't show but thankfully they let us do the appointment with two other girls who were very sweet but I don't think know all the information they should've collected from us. Ally should've been there if she is in charge of the wedding cakes. We weren't asked all the questions we were supposed to be asked and we didn't know what we needed to be asking, having this been the first time we wedding cake shopped. We left and then I was told I could reach out to ally myself, since she is the main wedding cake person. I reached out asking what our next steps need to be, if we need to make a payment and when to secure our date. She just kept telling me I should've gotten all this information at the cake tasting and said her and I needed to meet to go over everything. She offered to call and never did. I waited until after holidays understating it's a busy time and still the same things. Kept telling me this should've been dealt with already and that we needed to get on the same page, yet she never had anytime we could talk details or meet. Ive been trying since October to figure out when I need to make a payment to secure our spot, I am a huge planner and wanted to get everything figured out as soon as possible. She then messaged me this week saying I need to make a payment or I will lose my spot and other people are wanting my date. I have been trying since October to pay for my cake!! I asked her if I could go in right then and there and pay and she said no I could the next day, which I wasn't able to do. I kept texting her with times I could be there and pay and she stopped responding to me until I messaged saying we are going to part ways because we are giving them a big chunk of money to not be prioritized and she responded immediately saying thank you sounds good. If you didn't want to do our cake that is totally okay, but now we are left planning last minute when we tried to be on top of things months ago. Bad communication and making it feel like the customers fault when the 'cake lady' couldn't show up to any of the meetings to know what is going on and help guide us. At the cake tasting all the cupcakes were hard and clearly from sitting in the shelf all day. We were really excited to support a gluten free and local business. read more

It's a pretty cute little shop with lots of tasty looking options. They had all sorts of rolls, cookies, cupcakes, bars, and even baking mixes. We decided on a Cinnamon Roll and a Raspberry Cream Cheese Roll. They were both very good! This is coming from 2 people who are not gluten free by any means! My father-in-law is celiac and we thought, since we were in the neighborhood, that we'd sample some of their treats to see if they are any good and were very pleasantly surprised. My wife stopped bye to get our family of 5 cupcakes, brownies, and cinnamon roles to share. We have 3 boys ages 14, 16,and 18. They took a bite of each one and said that it was horrible. Drove from SLC to grab some GF dinner rolls for Christmas dinner. The customer service was AMAZING! The cute girl at the shop was extremely helpful. I watched as the owner walked another customer through the ins and outs of being GF (he was newly diagnosed) and was super impressed at her knowledge and care. Bought a sugar cookie because it looked too good to pass up, and it was delish! Please keep in mind that it's gluten free, so there's always going to be a difference between the "real thing" and the GF version. But as GF cookies go, this one was a winner! Giving a four star because this place is close and there really isn't many other bakeries close by. Brother in law is gluten free and I love how easy it is to grab him a treat. Their baked goods are delightful! Too bad their hours of operation are the pits. The Kaysville location is closed on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday; each week. I cannot count the number of times I've driven past the bakery on one of those days, and wished it were open. With another bakery/competitor located a mere block East of Sweet Cake, you'd think they'd have more competetive hours? As far as the sweets go... I've NEVER been able to tell that they are gluten free! They have an apricot-crumble bar that is one of my favorite bakery items of all time! Recently, I ordered a texas sheet cake bar, and lemon bars; and they were better than homemade! I do wish that they packaged up their goodies a little more attractively. If they were packaged as amazingly as they tasted; I'd make this my "go-to" place for goodies to deliver to girlfriends, and neighbors! As is, they package things individually, in brown-paper sleeves; and in plastic containers. In short, Sweet Cake has the potential to be great. The selection was pretty limited especially compared to online but I ended up getting two carmelitas, two bite sized lemon cheesecakes, two bite sized raspberry cheesecakes, two fruit pizzas, and a banana bar. $30.
