They offer excellent customer service and helped me choose frames in a short period of time. I love my glasses. I purchased two pairs.

I was referred by my internist, Dr. Michael Caughron. The referral was a response to my question,"Do you know a good Optometrist?" Dr. Henderson and his staff have exceeded my expectations for a professional, caring and safe facility. His thoughtful implementation of Covid protections should allow anyone to feel as safe as possible during this time of Covid 19. Every person is interviewed before entering the office. Everyone has their temperature taken. It is mandatory to wear a face mask. Every chair is wiped clean before a person sits in it. Patients leave the building via a separate exit. His staff is wonderful. I was trying in my new contacts and somehow the lens dropped on the table and bounced onto the floor. The first Assistent tried to find the lens and recruited two more office staff to find the lens. The lens was clear which makes the hard contact lens almost impossible to find. I had given up , but they were successful!!! I have a difficult prescription and a previous experience of the optometrist giving up on me. Dr. Henderson is patient and exacting and has answered all my many questions. I can now sit enjoying my cappuccino and see clearly three blocks away.

Update: They said it was in transit and would be delivered this past Saturday, they were not. Now they say they are going to be SHIPPED tomorrow. How do you go from telling me they shipped to telling me they didn't? Who runs the communication over there? I would just like an honest up front answer instead of this delay delay delay until it comes in. This is my second straight issue with this contact. Last time it took 3 months to get and apparantely your company forgot to even order them initially! So many delays and poor communication. Would it kill ya to at least send a text or email saying you've received my order? Never got that either even though you said I'd have it.

Between COVID and having an unreasonable stash of daily contacts, I put off my eye exam for longer than I should have. I really need new glasses, though, and had some urgency around spending HSA money that was rolled over during the pandemic. Scheduling was easy peasy - I made my appointment on the website and received a confirmation quickly, which included instructions on completing new patient paperwork online in advance. I received a text reminder of my appointment the day before. I was greeted right away, given a few additional forms to fill out, and then taken in back for initial testing. I waited in the lobby for a few minutes before my exam with Dr. Udesky. It was a brief wait and, honestly, the highlight of my day because I got to see how sweetly Dr. Udesky and his team interacted with the patient before me - a little girl who appeared to be four or five years old. She wanted her "eye pictures" to take home and they printed copies for her before sending her off with a fist bump. My exam was great and Dr. Udesky was friendly and warm. I asked a few questions about my current daily contacts, whether contacts or glasses would be better while staring at computer monitors all day, etc. He also gave me some helpful insight into my eye health relative to a medical condition and understanding long term care. I'd been on the fence about ordering glasses or going with an Internet retailer but, genuinely, Dr. Udesky offers competitive pricing (at least in this scenario where I was also committed to ordering contacts). Maria helped me choose frames and I'm excited for them to come in, particularly after years of being unhappy with my glasses from another retailer that bent and were misshapen almost immediately. She was knowledgeable, took my feedback into consideration, and selected the winning pair. I suppose I should mention that I don't have glasses or contacts in hand so this could change, but given how positive my experience was, I'm currently a happy customer and glad to support a local Northbrook doctor and his team. (For the record, I was also sent off with a fist bump and an elbow bump so that doesn't appear to be exclusively for the kids.) :)

I have now seen both Dr. Neukirch and Dr. DalPorto and I can say they are both fantastic. Dr. DalPorto is my regular optometrist but I had to see Dr. Neukirch when she was completely booked and Dr. Neukirch literally had one appointment available the next day. It was pure luck because they were both completely booked for the next 2 months. When seeing Dr. Neukirch, I could tell he was very knowledgable. He knew exactly who I was, understood my file, etc., in literal minutes of just glancing the notes from my past visits. I could tell he was totally brilliant. Dr. DalPorto is amazing too. She helped me narrow down my issues with my diplopia and she is incredibly nice. I always feel so comfortable when she is helping me and I don't ever feel frustrated like I have with other optometrists. You can seriously just feel how kind and wonderful of a person she is. I truly recommend this office to anyone looking for a great optometrist. I also want to add that there was like a tech or a helper that came and talked to be before I was seen by the doctor, and she was FANTASTIC. It was so weird, because I know she was taking notes to help the doctor in preparing and understanding my needs, but she made me feel prepared too. I don't know how to explain it. And while I think Carillon Vision Care is great, I do have some notes. I get emails calling me by another patients name telling me my prescription is 5 years out of date and that I need to schedule an appointment. I get these emails about once a week and sometimes have gotten them multiple times a day. I have complained to the office about it 3x and told them unsubscribing doesn't help but they have not fixed the issue. It's also a concern because sharing another patients information is not really safe. Luckily, I just know this other patients name and when the last time she visited was, so nothing super personal was shared. Also, some of the front desk ladies could be nicer. They not totally mean but they're just not nice either. If you're looking for a good doctor, I cannot recommend this place enough. Maybe just don't share your email address. If they fix the email problem, this place is totally 5 stars. _____ They fixed the email problem. 5 Stars!

I went to Dr. Katz cause I figured it was time to see an eye doctor and I'm glad I did. I spent a good 2 hours in the exam room with him as he tried to figure out what was wrong with me. Half of the time he spent asking me, "is the red ball above the black ball and if so to what side". Apparently, this is the test which I failed at. I'm so happy, cause now I have glasses and contacts and I can actually read correctly and see things correctly. It's so nice to finally be able to do that after 22 years of not being able to. He's really sweet and his staff is even sweeter. Although, when you do go into the office you'll feel like you immediately time warped to the 70's and no, this is not your eyes playing a trick. Oh on a side note, if you have a really jacked up prescription and he's able to get your contacts, like he was for me, don't even bother asking if color is possible because he'll just stare you down and ask you if you're nuts.

Excellent place to get fitted for a pair of glasses or contacts…read more I had appointment with Dr Socwell Ryan. He was on time, professional, and patient. I was with two toddlers :O) and he still did an excellent job, as well as took time to talk a bit to my over-talkative toddler, showed him some "Gears" and let him press a button (my toddler wants to come back again!) Not that I am recommending coming with toddlers, but just saying that my eyes were checked thoroughly under not so optimal conditions and Dr Socwell bedside manners were excellent too. Natalia helped me choose my frames (I liked three, we narrowed it down to one in 10 min or less). I picked them up today and they are great. Natalia did absolutely brilliant job there. I had to wait a bit for Natalia to complete all the computer forms/verify insurance etc, but another young lady Nora stepped in and helped to speed up that process. I would have liked a bit more explanation from Natalia regarding actual lenses, since on all the upgrades I was not covered by my insurance and I wasn't sure if I needed all three upgrades. Nora explained one upgrade to me (even showed me her glasses to make me understand the difference better), but I was not her client so on the other two upgrades I just trusted Natalia without explanation... Those two lenses upgrades were over $200 extra, so a little explanation as to it's purpose would have been nice... Don't get me wrong, my prescription sunglasses look great, and I am very happy with them, but I still wander if I could skip at least one upgrade and save myself some money... so be aware and ask questions when it comes to lenses upgrades. Nora helped me with the contact lenses. She was absolutely phenomenal in training me how to put contacts in and take them out of my eye (since it was A long time since I used contacts). That young lady has some serious patience and excellent sense of humour. I learned to put lenses in and out of my eyes in 20-25 minutes with some very good tips from Nora. Overall, this is my second time dealing with Rosin Eyecare and I will definitely come back again even though it's a bit far for me. Just for your information: 1. I would recommend choosing weekdays morning/daytime (if you have that luxury) or first thing in the morning on weekend. It's not too busy and everything is very well timed and you don't have to wait at all. 2. Ask questions when it comes to lenses upgrades (you might not want or need them and those upgrades are not cheap) 3. my insurance doesn't cover contact lenses and the prices without insurance at Rosin Eyecare are a bit high (nearly 50% higher comparing to Costco or online retailers for exact same contacts)... They might price match, I didn't ask (that was my mistake, but it was my first time getting contacts and I had no idea prices can vary that much). I think next batch of contacts I might get from Costco wholesales or online :))) but for everything else I will use Rosin Eyecare, excellent doctor and very helpful front desk!

Just another case of medical care going too corporate to service the needs of its customers. Stay away.
