Ahh Chef Teriyaki! We are a regular here, I always get their katsu/teriyaki bento boxes here but I have tried their rolls as well, the price is good, portion is large and it's delicious every time I get it! This is mostly a take out place so we take it to go and eat at home but they do have a couple seating there if you want to eat there. Definitely recommend if you don't want to cook for the night and just want take out which is usually what we do on those type of days! read more

Everything else on my receipt was decent and edible. The color of the TUNA NIGIRI was OFF AND BROWN, the meat was MUSHY. #GROSS I spat that sh!t out and gave it to my dog. Bet you I will check my order at the table if I ever decide to order sushi here again. Also the woman at the counter couldn't even tell me what kind of flavor Okinawa milk tea was, cuz she's "never tried it". That made me laugh. Was very unhappy with my order tonight. I ordered shrimp teriyaki with noodles which the guy repeated when he handed my to go order. I came home and what I got was shrimp teriyaki with RICE. My son and I were going home from his baseball practice, and he mentioned how hungry he was. I knew Chef Teriyaki was located right before the freeway entrance, so I made a turn into the parking lot. The place had a few customers dining in, and we proceeded to look at the menu. As my son and I were looking through the menu, a very nice man with a big smile greeted us and took our order. My son ordered the Beef and Chicken combo, I ordered the Chicken combo, we also ordered the 49er Roll as per his suggestion, since my wife likes lemon and salmon. There was a special if you order over 30.00, you get to choose a free item. We chose the fried rice.This place closes at 8, and we came at 8:15! He still served us and took our order. Since we ordered sushi, this man had already cleaned up his setup for sushi, but he proceeded to put the cutting board back on the counter, and made our sushi fresh. Another awesome thing he did was, he noticed his chicken was dry, so he told us that he wanted to cook our chicken fresh, and asked us if we can wait for 5 more minutes. This guy went to the back and cooked us fresh chicken! He was already closed, and he wanted to make sure his food was served fresh. What a great business, and a great owner! He cared about his service, his customers, and he takes pride in serving his food. Btw, he even added some free chow mein. The portions were big, the food was fresh, and we knocked it out! My wife ate all of her 49ers Roll, my son knocked out his 2 item combo, and I ate every single piece of my freshly made terriyaki chicken. Thank you for your hospitality, courtesy, and honesty. You cared about us, eating your food, and we really appreciate that. We will be coming back for sure! read more

I am not sure why I haven't been back to this place in so long, but I decided to give it another try and this go-around was much better. We were needing some sushi platters for my sister's birthday and since this place was so close to home and so reasonably priced, I decided to give it another shot. The plus side, is the ordering system is so easy! The turnaround is super quick too, considering I ordered 3 platters. They called just to confirm that my order was correct, which was great. The restaurant is more of a to-go vibe, but there are tables and chairs there. I got a sashimi platter and 2 roll platters. My family was pretty happy with the sushi and said it tasted fresh. I didn't have high expectations, but they didn't disappoint. I'm definitely looking forward to eating more items from here in the future. read more

Chef teriyaki on DoorDash hate to see me coming. My kids love California rolls and chef teriyaki just provides the best quality of food for price. So I'm constantly ordering from them literally every couple weeks just for those rolls from them. We have also ordered lots of rolls and they provided on a big platter which I love . Their service is always so fast and affordable and it's hard to come by nowadays. read more

While it's not my prerogative to leave negative reviews, we had a very bad experience with an order from this restaurant last night. We ordered 2 orders of tempura and order of sashimi. Our order came within the time quoted but when we received our order, the tempura was soggy and oily, with some of the tempura coating having had fallen off. Portions were good but, after taking a few bites, it tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in a while. They only provided a small portion of dipping sauce which we felt wasn't enough per portion. We just ended up throwing it away. The sashimi didn't look fresh and had a fishy smell to it. They provided some lemon but, anybody that consumes raw fish knows that you shouldn't have to mask the taste/smell with lemon. We didn't even attempt to eat any of it for fear of getting sick. Definitely would not recommend this restaurant and would give negative stars if that was an option! read more

Came here to get something quick and convenient one night. Location is in a quaint lil strip of shops off Hesperian. There's parking in the area so note that. The space itself is nicely placed in the corner and reminiscent of quick to go Chinese places (but remember, this is a Chinese owned place serving Japanese food!) The options are great here and they're also affordable. My bf and I ordered tempura (shrimp and veggie) and the King Roll. They pack the tempura well (def a good deal) and the sushi roll was a good portion. Staff were super chill here and worked quick. Def recommend coming here if you need something fast. read more

Came here for lunch and the place itself was okay. There were about 3 tables available and the door was wide open when we walked in. Service itself was okay, nothing too impressive. The food was delicious, filling, good portion, and for a great price. I wasn't able to finish it in one serving due to its size! However, when we were waiting for our takeout, there were large flies in the area and it was not enjoyable for us to sit. We needed up eating our food back in the office for work. Ordered 4 rolls Rock n Roll, Baja CA, Tootsie Roll, Tiger Roll. The stand out roll was Baja CA. The other 3 were mediocre, the filling in each of the 3 were not that flavorful. It was just OK. My order was intentionally small to try this place out.... Also want to add that I called 3X to place my order but was hung up on each time. The sushi was delicious with creative rolls, such as the Royal flush roll. I highly recommend the Royal flush! Fish to rice to sauce ratio was equal and a lot more than most restaurant. The quality isn't as great as sit down restaurants. For the chicken teriyaki yakisoba, it was a bit greasy (mostly because of the teriyaki sauce). I loved it because it's mixed with shrimp and veggies as well. This plate was overly stuffed and could be split with three people. It was cooked perfectly! CUSTOMERS BEWARE IF UR ORDERING CHICKEN ROLLS: Its about the 3rd time ordering chicken rolls here and I've had it with their inconsistencies especially when ordering the CHICKEN ROLL! Per the menu on the website AND in-person menus it notes the CHICKEN ROLL should come with cucumbers! I called in my order today and picked up. When I open to see the CHICKEN ROLL, to my inconvenience and disappointment there's NO CUCUMBER. I never asked for NO CUCUMBER. I called and told them that this order was made wrong and that it is being falsely advertised on all their menus. The person whom answered the phone told the cook and then she tells me the Chef/Cook said "the customer has to ask for cucumbers on their CHICKEN ROLL!" No way! This is ridiculous! To the manager-- Amber or OWNERS this is called false advertising, inconveniencing customers and skimping on food orders that we EXPECT to pay for! You need to hold your employees-- COOKS/CHEFs accountable because this is absolutely poor quality of food & service! This blew my mind when I was told I have to ask for what I expect in my order! This review is for the chicken plate. The flavor and what you get is completely different now since the change in ownership. I came here once maybe a few months ago to see if it was still good but I thought I just got a bad plate. I loved coming here prior to the change because the chicken tasted similar to Sarku's. Now the chicken (and for beef for the first time) is completely flavorless without the sauce on top. No flavor of garlic, only soy sauce and sugar. AND! The veggies now are broccoli and freaking raw ass BAGGED SALAD. No yummy steamed cabbage, no carrots. I'm glad I went next door to Asia Express to grab another plate since I didn't have a good feeling about it. That and the place dirty, messy, boxes out in the open and the screen where you can see the toilet paper or paper towel. Also cold since they don't close the door! read more

Good fast sushi. Called in a few times with no answer and tried to use their online but they only go through with door dash type of orders. I called to see if my order online went through and they told me that website on Apple Maps doesn't work so I would receive an email saying my card was refunded so I just ordered over the phone. Even better cause I asked about their large platters and they were available with a 30 mins wait. We added a king roll that you would see in my pic on the left for this specialty sushi platter. Small parking lot and a pretty busy one so be careful coming in or leaving. The location is right off the freeway in a corner beside a gas station and other shops.
