The girl at the counter was really nice and attentive. She served us right away and was very quick but not pushy, even though they were about to close to get ready for dinner! Also Ramen specials advertised daily. Saw ramen and tempura for $15. -It's quaint with about 10 tables inside. Busy on a Friday night but only Waited about 5 minutes for a seat for 2. Once we sat down, 2 friendly ladies were waitressing. One of them checked on us promptly & got our orders. The other lady served us The miso soup/salad. Sushi also arrived quickly. The food is delicious & in very generous portions, the small Japanese style dividers between the table and the communal bench along with the Japanese inspired art around the place really brings it all together, it leaves you with a sensation that you just wanna come back. I had the sushi boat to share with a couple of other people and it was more than enough. Quick and easy process: ordered on my phone and it was ready in the 15-20 min it took for me to drive here. I went with the chicken teriyaki + tempura + gyoza for $15. Maybe it looked extra generous because it was takeout and therefore given in 3 separate boxes. Still, it felt like a lot of food. Lots of chicken, big scoop of rice, and a salad in one box. 6 pcs tempura (4 veggie, 2 shrimp) in the next. And 3 pcs gyoza in the last box. Flavor wise, it was prob as good as any other sushi spot. I remember their sushi being decent and fresh, so I stopped by here for a quick lunch recently - quality has definitely went down. I ordered my usual - the sake maki and salmon nigiri. The salmon tasted a bit fishy, which left a bad taste in my mouth, the soy sauce helped mask the taste a bit. Overall, it was a bit pricey for the quality of sushi I got to be honest. read more

Overall the good was great no complaints other than if you like wasabi you better ask for a-lot more than the 1/4th teaspoon size they give you for 4 people. It's in a decent sized strip mall on Alvarado Blvd that wasn't too far away. The sushi was good and fresh, and the tea and miso soup were very good. Nice ambiance, nice wall decor, very clean!! we live in the area and are barely exploring since moving here a year ago, we saw this place after running a few errands and the menu displayed outside showed so many yummy options (bonus! also had prices displayed and they were very fair for a Japanese restaurant!). we decided to come here for lunch and we were greeted and seated immediately. the menu had pictures of almost everything and it looked delicious! we were not rushed at all to order and when we did, our appetizers came out almost immediately, hot and fresh. Shortly after we received all of our food and everything was steaming, and the broth in our ramen was still bubbling from the pot! The miso soup was out of this world, so savory and hot and literally lit up my soul! The chicken was amazing and so juicy and flavorful, you could definitely taste that it just came off the grill. the sushi was delicious and the display overall was beautiful! The sushi here reminds me of the type of sushi you would get at a buffet. The type of buffet that has low quality made sushi that has been sitting out too long. The quality of the sushi is NOT what it use to be. It doesn't taste the best and it doesn't look appealing. I use to go here a lot before the pandemic and we usually get the BMW, Titanic, and the Lion King roll, so I was expecting it to be just as good as it was before. The BMW and the titanic tasted exactly the same when one was supposed to be spicy. The only difference was that you could see one of the rolls has a spicy crab mix filling and hamachi on top. If you are considering eating here DON'T get the Lion King roll. The Lion King roll we got didn't look or taste like one. It looked like the chef just put a roll on top of foil but forgot to bake it. The only items I DO recommend is the California Roll and the Inari Nigiri. read more
