I remember coming back here over 7 years ago and not loving it, but decided to come back again and it's honestly pretty good! My favorite was the tuna tower which was a delicious combination of fish, rice, sauce, and the avocado was the cherry on top! Also tried the crazy horse and the Oh My God roll, both of which were tasty but not that melt in your melt fresh. I felt the same about the spicy donburi. Very sauce heavy! Went today with a friend for his 85th birthday. This is a place that he and his son frequently. We both ordered the sushi bento and had it with sashimi, tonkatsu and nigiri. The fish items were fresh and quite tasty and the servings were generous ... good value. Service was attentive and gracious from start to finish ... and regarding finish. What graciousness. The oldest review here is 2014. Why I haven't tried it growing up in the area? I don't know. The restaurant is in the same plaza as Safeway and its close to MandRo Teahouse. It's a busy plaza but they have plenty of parking. It is also conveniently located by a freeway. We walk in and are immediately greeted by staff. I was having a bad day when I went but that changed quick. The staff is so friendly. They let me have my drink from outside (because I came here right after Truewin) and I appreciate it. We ordered the oyakodon and sushi bento. I got used to seeing oyakodon as chicken and egg over rice that this confused me a bit but I knew the name translates to "Mother and child" so it made sense. I honestly liked it. Great amount of food for me who wasn't insanely hungry after boba and a souffle cake (I know, dessert before dinner how dare I). The sushi bento was also good. Great amount of food for the price. Overall I liked this place. I think it stood out more because the staff are so kind. I've been a patron of O'Sushi for years, and I'm thrilled to report that their food quality has not wavered at all over the last decade that I've been going. The sushi rolls are fresh, delicious, and innovative, and the servers are extremely attentive. Sushi rolls are on par for the area in terms of price; $16 for more specialty rolls, $8-9 for classics (California, Philly, etc.). We ordered: 1. Tuna Tower Roll ($16.95) generous portion and perfect blend of sauces & flavors. 2. Lion King ($14.45) not their best roll...there's definitely other places with better Lion King. 3. Super Lion King ($15.45) we couldn't really tell the difference between this and the regular Lion King 4. Dragon Roll ($14.95) this was decent 5. Atlantic Roll ($13.45) Great - katsu style exterior. I'd recommend since it's unique. 6. Loki Roll ($14.95) Also good - deep fried unagi on top of snow crab. 7. M&M Roll ($15.45) This was a generous portion and the spice was great. 8. Smile Lemon ($17.95) this was on their special rolls menu. I thought this was great, but the others didn't really like it. 9. O' Sushi is located right off the freeway on the street view of a semi-busy plaza. Parking is hit or miss here because it gets pretty busy here on weeknights and weekends (especially with MandRo next door), but if you park further away in the main area of the plaza, then there is plenty of parking on that side. Service is so poor here, as they do not acknowledge / welcome you at all - you could be standing by the front for a good 5 minutes and all the employees will just breeze past you like you are not there. My last few visits here, I ordered to go and I would call ahead of time, as they take pretty long here (they always say 10 - 15 minutes, but it is always 25+ minutes, even when they are not busy). I usually order their Kani Nigiri, Sake Maki, and Salmon Nigiri. Their sushi is usually decently fresh, but lately, their salmon has not been that fresh and I would get a stomachache after. I recommend ordering from their "specials" menu! From toro to red snapper, they had a lot of fresh fish. My table ordered many items to share. My favorite was the Number 1 Roll, which had a gochujang drizzle on top. This roll was really unique to me, and I enjoyed the combination. The Spider Roll was really filling and I liked that it was packed with lettuce! Never seen this before and it made the roll more refreshing in a way. A friend of mine ordered the Galbi Ribs, and these are not bad! A pretty big portion and they came out hot on a skillet. First thing I noticed while waiting for a table was that their Yelp awards were outdated from 2020 or 2021and def no newer ones received/acheived. Food is good but service was subpar and several flies and gnats flying around the restaurant. We walked in on a Friday around 7p and was quite busy. We noticed one table/booth available but for some reason they did not sit us there, it was just us two... so we're they saving it for a bigger party? We'll they had us wait for a bit to clear a table for a party that just left a booth right next to the available one. As soon as we got seated, another couple walks in and gets seated immediately at that one booth that was already available and did not have to wait. So absurd! The restaurant itself had a decent amount of seats. Parking outside can be tricky in the evening as there are other shops in the plaza.
