Came in on a Saturday evening and luckily there was no wait. There's a good amount of tables inside. It was a bit hot and stuffy when we went, despite it being low 70s. My husband and I ordered a few rolls. He got the Fremont fire and warrior roll. He definitely preferred the Fremont fire, which came out on fire and was loaded with shrimp tempura, crab meat, and spicy tuna inside. I got the lion king and spider man roll. Personally was not a fan of the spider man roll as it was huge and difficult to eat. Also, just didn't taste as good compared to lion king. The roll sizes are big though and I thought it was worth the price. The menu is huge with a bunch of sushi rolls, fresh sushi/sashimi, entree items, etc. Definitely liked the variety so will be back to check out the other items. Hoping to try their lunch special as they had a lot of options for good prices, especially their bentos. The service was good and food came out fairly quickly. Overall, nice sushi spot in a convenient plaza with plenty of parking. Will be back!

Definitely surprised by the amount of change that's happened with the acquisition. Quality isn't the same.

Spacious, Good service, variety menu and affordable. The fish is good quality, melts in your mouth, and thick cuts What we ordered: - Jake's Salmon - love salmon . Lunch Special Sashimi (chef choice) 12 pc . Fremont Flower - tuna outside, classic . House Special Roll - saucy, tempura outside, flavorful . See Through - wrapped in rice paper, can taste more of the flavors with this one

Their rolls here are HUGE, definitely good value for the price. I came around lunch on a weekday, and they were able to accommodate our party of 4 strollers easily. Staff were kind and helpful. - Enter the dragon (4/5) - their version of a dragon roll, was pretty good - Heavanly Chris (5/5) - not spicy at all, I really loved the taste of this one and would highly recommend - Ultimate KO (4/5) - has one chile pepper on the menu, but not spicy at all, just a little mild kick. We also got tempura and edamame for the table, both were yummy

We had a late lunch at Aniki's. We had the following: Golden State Sushi - Crab, shrimp tempura, salmon, unagi Hamachi Lover - Yellowtail fish with avocado Exceptional flavors! Their tempura only has 1 shrimp and big portions of diff veggies. I liked their crispy tempura flakes with cucumber and dressing appetizer. Generous portions, we had leftover sushi to go. Lovely service and great find!

Three stars because fish was totally NOT fresh and additionally you cannot customize your order online unless you call them... on top of artificial wasabi. I appreciate the 2 chopsticks and 3 packs of brand name shoyu! Sushi rice was well done; not too sticky and fell apart nicely/palatable. Love the array of rolls available. Bento boxes are lackluster selection wise... wish I could pick tonkatsu (pork based since I don't consume poultry) but I can't. What the heck. Plus bentos are pricer from what you get (2 choices) in comparison to others in the area. Server was super friendly and had a nice smile! And quickly knew me by name (yes reasonably I was the only one who ordered online at that time...). Went during peak hours and there were only two tables dining in. Located within the new dollar tree and mega mart plaza. Therefore lots of parking for you to pick from. However, do not follow Google maps if you are coming from the Washington blvd direction because it directs you to the back lot... ughhh.

Sushi, bento, curry, or noodles - Aniki's Sushi has it all! Despite their vast menu, the quality of their dishes is still exceptional and for a fair price. We came in on a weekend lunch but it was easy to find a spot in the shared parking lot and quick to get seated at a booth. The every wall of the room is decorated by custom artwork from what I would presume is a local artist. The colors and designs really brighten up the place and add a bit of character. As we sat down, the staff handed out a number of menus and waters with lemon slices. Their menu covers quite a spread of items that are sure to satisfy your craving for anything Japanese. If you're looking for something cold, you'll have plenty of options with their nigiri, rolls, and sashimi. If your stomach is needing something hot, you'll have baked rolls, grilled fish, ramen/udon noodles, curry and rice, and teriyaki bowls. For a complete meal, their bentos and combos are great. They typically include a salad, soup, rice, a hearty entree, and a side of your choice among nigiri/sashimi/roll, tempera, and gyoza. Their kids menu for kids 10 years and younger is also very good value! Tonkatsu - crispy and tender cuts of chicken thigh destined to be dipped in the thick, tangy and flavorful sauce and gobbled with the generous serving of rice. A good number of pieces of chicken on a bed of cabbage! Saba shioyaki - grilled mackerel with the traditional salting method is an excellent protein-rich entree with healthy fats. The natural flavors come out best this way and taste great by itself or with the side or rice. Enter the dragon roll - each one of these morsels was packed with protein (eel and shrimp) as well as the other fixings like avocado and imitation crab. We ordered the combo and it came with a miso soup and a side of three pieces of nigiri. Shareable and filling! Gyoza - crispy and meaty! Dunk them in the dipping sauce! Came with four pieces in the kid bento. California roll - big pieces and huge chunks of avocado! Yum! Came with six pieces in the kid bento. Tuna roll - hearty and refreshing bite full of about half tuna and half avocado in the center. Great balance. Came with six pieces in the combo. Nigiri - good portion of fish on top of equally fair portion of rice. Had red snapper, tuna, and salmon. The food came out pretty quick and everything was photo-worthy, and we couldn't wait to dig in. They noticed the kids had a bit of trouble with the chopsticks and came out with some chopstick holders that helped them use them like tongs. Very proactive on that front, however, we did have to specifically ask for wasabi/ginger despite us having raw fish in our meal (I would have expected this to be included with the nigiri). Overall, Aniki's Sushi has it all and seems to have great consistency in food quality, freshness, presentation and taste. We didn't get to try everything but this visit definitely left a good impression and we will probably be back to try the other goodies. With their combos and kid menu, you'll get a bargain for great food that will feed the whole family. With their immense list of rolls, Aniki's may rival similar sushi spots around here and they may benefit from a rewards system like their competitors. Although they don't seem to get much foot traffic, their central location will surely be a convenient spot for those looking to hop in for a quick lunch or a nice dinner spread (just keep in mind of their break between lunch and dinner service). Sushi is certainly a highlight here, but Aniki's has plenty more to offer!

Food: delicious for vegetarian sushi in Fremont this place offers one page of vegetarian sushi flavors are really good. I would say it's pretty tasty Service: pretty fast, but also I came when there weren't that many people there so to be fair it's pretty fast Ambience: great, cute place. I loved all the hip-hop rap artist pictures on the wall as well as a cute little booth so you could have an intimate experience. * as a vegetarian it's hard to find good sushi that's flavorful. I found this place wonderful and the chef even made substitutions and added ingredients for me so I really appreciated. That definitely say come here.

Making my rounds at some of my favorite spots as I get ready to move away from Fremont (finally) anyway Aniki's is a gem and we have had many good times and good meals here. Today I had a lunch special that was as good as I expected the fried salmon roll came with a miso soup and a side of California roll, it was a great deal for $20 bucks. The service could be more attentive but they only had 1 server during the lunch hour.

    Beef Bento Box. Delicious

Final Thoughts: 4.29/5 It's rare that I get to go to Fremont for a meal or anything at all for that matter, but I got the chance this week. The cuisines and foods that I found most enticing around the area were sushi and Korean foods. Ultimately, this was our choice. Quite the pleasant experience overall. Food: Spicy Crunch Crab Salad: 4.2/5 Mixed imitation crab on the bottom and then it's topped with the crunch and some cucumbers. I'm assuming the crunch is fried tempura batter. I love the texture from this dish. It's really nothing extravagant, but all the components work well together. I ate this with the rolls because I personally think it tastes better with some rice. The cucumber gave it some of that freshness and even more crunch to top it off. The first look impression was very underwhelming, but ultimately, I did enjoy it. T N T: 3.8/5 This is one of their baked rolls. Inside contains spicy tuna and the outside has salmon, rich spicy sauce with fish eggs. This is actually the roll that initially caught the attention of my friend and I. It was the three chili peppers and the large, red, bolded sign that read "NO REFUND!" next to it that made me want to get it. With all of that warning, I was expecting it to be some kind of ghost pepper spice of sorts, but it's not. It tastes and feels almost like a sriracha spicy. It's the painful kind of spicy too versus being a flavorful spice. It's mild for me, but try and eat at your own discretion. The flavor is quite rich from the sauce and salmon. Mango Crunch: 4.3/5 The crunch is always one of the best parts and the rolls here really deliver on that. This roll has mango and spicy crab on the inside and salmon, avocado, spicy mayo, crunch, and unagi sauce on the outside. Very simple ingredients, but they work really well together. Anything with unagi sauce usually make it taste good, so needless to say, I did enjoy this roll. The flavors are quite balanced and I like the richness from the salmon and sauces. You can tell when there's too much mayo because the flavor overpowers the rest of the roll. This one had a good balance. The mango actually gives the roll this freshness. The flavor is subtle, but it does it's fair share in contributing. InstaGram: 4.3/5 **Allergy warning for this one, as it does contain crushed peanuts as a garnish on top.** The different kinds of fish is what made this roll for me. This roll had salmon, spicy tuna, yamagobo, avocado on the inside and 4 kinds of fish tobiko, green onion, nuts, spicy mayo, and unagi sauce on the outside. There are a lot of components an ingredients to this dish and they all seemed to work nicely together. The flavors are very similar to the mango crunch because a lot of the stronger flavors are from the unagi sauce, spicy mayo, and fish. Menu: Options are available My friend and I only got their rolls and an appetizer today, but there are other options on their menu. They have rolls, bowls, ramen, appetizers, etc., so there are alternatives available. --------- Quality: Good for me I felt that the quality was quite good. There was nothing spectacular that I could point out about the items that we received, but they were all enjoyable for me. I'm not the queen of sushi or anything, so my palate isn't trained for this. Price: Fair for Bay Area The prices seem normal for a sushi place. Price ranges for each roll is going to be between $15 to $20 depending on what you get. If we get technical about the ingredients though, the price might sound a little more expensive, but for bay area prices, this is going to be within the range that you'll see for other places, as well. Service: Normal Nothing too significant to note here. Our server was quite sweet and we only had a few interactions with her. She came in to get the order, check on us once, provide the food, and then lastly, the check. Very straightforward dining experience here. Ambiance: Your average restaurant It was your standard restaurant. I personally like booth tables because it's just nicer having your own closed space for me. I can be loud sometimes, so it's nice to keep my volume better enclosed in the space. There were a few tables already present, but we were able to choose a booth table. This day was on a Tuesday evening during dinner time too. Just a simple pleasant dinner today. Location/Parking: Lots of spaces available This plaza seems quite small, but that's perhaps because I didn't explore the other side of the parking lot. From the way I entered, this place was right in the front near the stop sign. Lots of parking spaces were left on the side, but my friend and I were each able to get a spot right at the front of the door. There were many spaces left to park though, so I don't think it would be a concern here.

    Beautiful artwork in the restaurant.

This place is always busy. We were lucky to be seated right away during lunch after church. We go to this restaurant every so often since it's located in Central Fremont. Food is always great and price is good too. The decorations in the restaurant is very trendy. It looks like the artwork was made by someone local, really cool.

They are located in the Paseo Padre Shopping Center (often referred to as the 99 Ranch Plaza). They have plenty of parking here. The ambience is modern, updated, and clean. Simply decorated but with a good IG Photo op. Menu is on the QR code but you have to order with the waitstaff. They do have menus for you if you prefer. The staff were super nice, friendly, and attentive. We arrived close to when their kitchen was about to close, but we were able to order in time. They are known for their Mazemen, meaning "mixed noodles" in Japanese. It is a broth-less ramen style featuring thick, chewy noodles tossed in a concentrated, umami-rich sauce, aromatic oil, and various toppings. So, I ordered the... Deluxe: slice pork chashu, spicy minced pork, poached egg, scallions, chives, minced garlic, fish umami, seaweed flakes, seaweed, soft boiled egg. My wife ordered the... Mentaiko: (non-spicy or spicy) mentai caviar (slightly spicy), masago, poached egg, scallions, jumbo crispy shrimp Tempura, torched cheese, mixed greens, minced garlic, kamaboko fish cake, seaweed flakes. Our server told us to thoroughly mix our ingredients in each of our dishes and on my deluxe if I needed more flavor to add some of the vinegar (included kombu, red pepper). I loved the thick noodles that soaked up the sauce perfectly. We will definitely be back! Support your local business.

LENT 2026: GOOD FRIDAY LUNCH…read more The first time I ate at Toro Sushi Stone Grill & Bar was the last Saturday of February for my mom's birthday. We had a private room for the party. Out of food that was served I really enjoyed eating the sashimi, which was presented on a platter. I also liked grilled salmon. During Lent I wanted to come back to Toro for lunch. I thought about getting sashimi or grilled salmon when I came back. A couple days before coming to Toro for Good Friday lunch I looked at the menu online. Why pay for the dishes I ate before? One of the dishes that intrigued me was the baked unagi fried rice. However the baked salmon fried rice sounded enticing. Also one of the appetizers sounded interesting was the sashimi pizza. My plan was to order an appetizer and an entree for Good Friday lunch. On Friday when I got a table I looked at the menu. The lunch special listed unagi don. Then I started thinking to myself. Why do I have to eat only fish on Fridays during Lent? Vegetables are permitted during Lent Fridays. I looked at the salad menu and one item intrigued me was the avocado salad. Instead of getting a sashimi pizza for an appetizer I choose avocado salad. Knowing a salad would not be filling I ordered the crispy salmon skin roll. For entree I ordered the unagi don. I'll start with the crispy salmon. A lot of people don't like to eat crispy skin of a fish. I love it. The crispy salmon skin roll is a filling roll due to the sauce, which adds flavor to the rice. Instead of a roll I would like to see crispy skin salmon as an appetizer as it would be similar to a chicharron. Regarding the avocado salad I liked how avocado wasn't skimpy in portion. There's one thing I don't like in salad and that is water. I understand cleaning the lettuce to get rid of the dirt, but the lettuce better be dry instead of water dripping at the bottom on the bowl. I came here for the unagi don. I felt I made a right decision of ordering the unagi don instead of the baked unagi fried rice. With the steamed rice I could taste the eel whereas the fried rice would've overpowered the eel. The unagi don was a filling dish and I believe if I ordered a baked unagi fried rice I would have felt bloated. On this last Friday during Lent I enjoyed my lunch at Toro Sushi Stone Grill and Bar. I liked the sashimi that was served for my mom's birthday party than what I ordered during Good Friday. I can see myself coming here again. Maybe next time I try the stone grill items.
