I am a sushi snob and I have never had a cucumber roll cut so perfectly that when biting into it, it doesn't fall apart! Nice ambiance, good service. The $39.99 lobster deal was terrible. Lobster meat was so bland, not the sweetness that you would expect from steamed fresh lobsters. It was worse than frozen lobsters, tasted like it was previously boiled, frozen, then reheated by steaming. read more

We went to Chef Dee's because of the high rating (4.6 out of 5.) Once we arrived and were seated the staff was very attentive. Once we tasted our food, we were hooked. I had the Chicken Parmesan and I can truthfully say it was the absolute best I have ever had. Hubby had that Pork Chops Teriyaki with Mushrooms/Broccoli. He loved it. We were just there overnight, but we now know when we go back to that area we will head to this restaurant for another delicious meal. read more

One of my favorites is their Lighthouse Point sushi, the oyster & clam Rockefeller, also the shrimp a la vodka is to die for & enough to share so I'd start out with some sushi rolls & then go to the pasta. I don't eat red meat however my roommate recommends the Rib eye & said it's the best steak he's ever had & it's the size of the plate!! Make sure you leave room for dessert. If you are looking for some fresh raw fish - don't look anywhere else! We ordered the tuna tataki appetizer and also asked them if they could do a wahoo tataki appetizer (which they were able to do!), blue ocean roll, sushi dinner (comes with salmon, tuna, white fish & a roll - we ordered the spicy tuna roll), and they gave us complementary salad which was delicious. Plenty of food for three of us and every single dish was made to perfection. I am so picky with my sushi and am not a huge fan of crazy massive rolls but wow the blue ocean roll was phenomenal! They give you a very good amount of fresh fish and don't overdo it with the rice. My kind of spot! The employees are also so kind which made the dining experience even more enjoyable! But wait it gets better....for our second choice I had chef Dee surprise us. I was told this is his speciality. The chefs choice was literally unreal. My husband and I had dinner there last night and it was our first visit to this hidden gem of a restaurant. When we got there, it wasn't too busy, and we took a table in the back area so we could take it all in. We were met by the most wonderful server, Rose, who was anything but the usual robotic servers we have come across at other restaurants. She was so welcoming, and friendly, we felt like she had known us forever. She steered us towards a wonderful bottle of wine that didn't break the bank. I ordered the lobster ravioli (handmade!), and my husband had the linguini with clams. Both were fantastic! We had flash fried conch for an appetizer, which we probably wouldn't order again as you tasted the fried batter over the sweetness of the conch. We use to go back and forth about where to eat dinner, what each other was in the mood for, East or West, etc. Now we just pull up our Yelp App, (mostly Julie as I am the one driving), to identify a restaurant with some Yelp Community input/Reviews! Tonight My wife spotted a place that offered Sushi and Italian Dishes. A wide spectrum for my taste buds to enjoy! As we arrived we saw seats at the Sushi bar just inside the door and chose those as most of the 2 and 4 top tables were already occupied at 6:15pm. A prompt and friendly greeting and our drink orders were placed. A Large Hot Saki for me as I was teetering toward the Sushi offerings. As we sat at our sushi bar seats at the end closest to the kitchen, the aromas and garlic pulled NE to the Italian side of the menu. ( Besides, Saki pairs very well with Chicken), and that is what I ordered, Chicken Piccata accompanied with a beautiful House Salad. A freshly baked loaf of hit crispy crust bread was delivered. Hot as in just out of the oven and not as in reheated in a microwave. We enjoyed a few slices while waiting for our entrees. My wife ordered Soft Shell crabs with some Piccata sauce on the side and shared 2 of her lemon slices with me to add a little more zing to my Chicken Piccata sauce. We both enjoyed our meals, fast friendly service and the pleasant discovery of another place to dine when on the East side of town. read more

Hidden Gem! Chef Dees has been on my yelp radar for over a year and I am so upset that it took me so long to try it. This place is fantastic, we have been there three times in the past 2 weeks and have not once had a bad meal or bad service. Their seafood is probably the best around. Last night we tried the clams casino -so tasty! Stuffed mushrooms with crab which were a special, best mushrooms I have ever had, cooked perfectly! The wahoo parmigiana , who would think to make wahoo with tomato sauce and cheese? Unreal. Better than any parmigiana dish I've ever tried. And the triple tail with angle hair pasta in a lemon caper sauce-to die for!! My ultimate favorite was the spicy conch salad. It was so good we had to order another one. Chef Dee is a rock star and his wife Rose who manages the dining room is an Angel! It is a small place with only a few tables inside and a small sushi bar that you can eat at as well. They also have a few tables and a bar top outside on their front patio that you can eat at as well. My new favorite place. As others have said, this hole in the wall place is AMAZING. I would suggest it when you're looking for take-out sushi as the inside is pretty tight. For dinner last night, we ordered the calamari appetizer (outstanding) and the sushi and sashimi dinner for two (WOW). There was enough food to feed four people easily. I spend most of my time Portsmouth NH Portland and New York eating sushi and Chef Dee is by the far is it's the worst. We first had calamari it was horrible and cost freaking 14 for a little amount. We also had two rolls sushi one was was concha and was scallops which were all together horrible. The thick brown sauce was gross....place sucked horrible. read more

I've never been so disappointed with a dinning experience. My friends have been to the place before and asked if they could bring their catch for them to cook and they were happy to do so. We were a group of 11 people ordering multiple appetizers, dinner, and drinks. When the bill arrived they charged us an extra $300 for cooking "our catch". This information was never communicated to us and we found it to be a bit offensive since we already had a bill of over $700 for everything else we had ordered. WHEN THE OWNER WAS APPROACHED SHE WAS UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, AND A COMPLETE IDIOT! I was so shocked at her behavior as an owner with a group of customers that just spent a lot of money in a hole in the wall restaurant. The food was good but not the best I've ever had and definitely not worth the attitude and money we spent. She needs to learn manners, and business etiquette! First and last time Chef Dee will ever see us or upcharge us ever again! read more
