[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cheesewalla is located in Orange Street Alley which makes for a unique hangout and dining experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant offers only outdoor seating in the alley.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was friendly enough but lacked that welcoming feeling. My fountain drink was served with no ice :( The food was very tasty but sandwich fillings were underwhelming for the high price tag. Essentially two upscale grilled cheese sandwiches with sides and one fountain drink. With tip we were $50 dollars plus. Again, flavor is great, but I feel there are better dining options for the price.

We had a great time can't wait to come back and try more drinks and more food great atmosphere great people

I went during happy hour and the garlic fries were really good and the beer you could get any on tap. The service was really good as everyone was friendly and [[HIGHLIGHT]]nice calm music to have a drink[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

Cheesewalla is truly a beloved institution. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The alley entrance is magical, and the indoor area you can enter from is always quiet and chill, with plenty of tables to enjoy at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We order the Samosa, pbc+j, and bbq mac grilled cheeses. Each one is delicious in its own way. The cheese is always at the right ratio. The samosa is wonderfully spiced, and comes with three different dipping sauces, just like actual samosas. I am anti cilantro, but the other two sauces pair so well with it. The bbq mac has a delicious barbecue sauce and tender beef. All three sandwiches could've used more filling; there was a ton of empty crust leftover that did not get eaten. Other than that, very satisfied with our order!

I came here for happy hour and it was a very positive experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor and ambiance is like your typical bar- nothing out of the ordinary.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food came out quickly and i got the zucchini fries. They were a good sized portion and tasted amazing. I also got a mango margarita and was pleasantly surprised. It was definitely one of the better margaritas i've had in the area.

Find Cheesewalla in the Orange Street Alley of Downtown Redlands. They have a good amount of grilled cheese sandwiches to choose from, and there's a separate bar area if you're in the mood for a cold one or two. They also have juices, soda, and lemonade. You can choose to dine inside in the hallway, outside in the alley under the colorful umbrellas, or inside "BarWalla." The service was quick, and prices aren't bad at all. The portions are very generous. My Mushroom Swiss was perfect, and the tots were nice and crispy. The lemonade was good, not too sweet or sour. The food here is made fresh to order, so you KNOW it's gonna be a party in your mouth! The bar staff was friendly even though I didn't end up ordering any alcohol. Parking wasn't too bad in the middle of the day. I would go back for sure. Wish there was one closer to me. Try it out if you're in the area. This is a great place for IG worthy cheese pull opps! =)

My wife and I love cheesewalla and have been coming here since moving to the area four years ago.My wife loves the pizza grilled cheese and it's a great sandwich....if it weren't for the fact that lately (as in like for the past 2 years) they almost ALWAYS forget to include the marinara sauce. I placed the order over phone for pickup today around 5:30pm and the young lady that helped me even asked me if I wanted the marinara sauce on the side, and I said yes. Still didn't get it! I guess it's on me for not checking but like seriously come on! The side sauce is like a staple of the sandwich! Really considering not going anymore. Love this place but figure this out please.

Yes, for Vegan people, they will make the following sandwiches on Sour Dough bread only: 1.…

This place looks really cheesy! Do you have vegan cheese options too?

    Yes they do!

When will they have a gluten free grilled cheese sandwich?

They have a veggie option but they are working on gluten free options.

This place is always busy, both inside and with takeout orders, so I definitely recommend ordering ahead if you're in a hurry. That said, they are consummate professionals at what they do, and even if you walk in, the wait is never painful. My advice: check out the menu while you're in line and be ready to order when you get to the register. They're busy, and nobody wants to be the indecisive person holding up the line! Their daily specials are incredible, but be aware that if you want a special from a different day, it's not happening. Also, get there early if you want the special, because they can and do sell out -- which honestly just proves how good they are. Everything here is done right. The menu items are thoughtfully put together, balanced, and full of flavor. Portions are generous without being ridiculous, prices are very fair, and honestly, I think they may even be low compared to the value you get. The staff is always helpful, and the girl at the counter has been there as long as I've been going -- I believe she's family -- which says a lot about the heart behind this place. Don't skip the market, either. They carry some of the best Italian ingredients, and it adds even more to the experience. Saverino's is by far the best sandwich spot in Redlands, and I'd go out on a limb and put them in the top five on the West Coast. Family-run, local, consistent, and absolutely top notch. This place is a winner and deserves a try. Just one warning: THEY ARE ADDICTIVE!

Lovely fresh flowers on the outside of the building, crisp and clean interior, plenty of seating in indoors and outdoors. We chose the covered outdoor section, because of the weather was lovely today. My iced lavender latte was phenomenal, perfectly sweetened. My friend had the iced dirty chai, which she loved, as well. The menu was so vast that we had difficulty choosing what we wanted to eat. I've already determined that I will go back with my husband to try more items! But for today, I ordered the mushroom Swiss Panini, and she ordered the Caprese on a ciabatta bun. We chose these sandwiches already knowing that we would swap a half to be able to try both! We were not disappointed. The bread on the mushroom Swiss was buttery toasted goodness, and cheese to mushroom ratio was just right. The Caprese was warm and savory, and the balsamic onion jam was absolutely delicious. Very pleased with our visit overall!

I had the chai latte (so good), a cheese danish (dangerous), and an Everlasting Ferments kombucha...the Habanero Ginger is a sleeper hit. You can also snag breakfast burritos if you're lucky (they sell out), or freshly made stuffed waffles from a vendor outside, which somehow makes the whole experience feel extra charming. Every bite was either taking my breath away or draining all my energy because I had to stop and process how good it was. Either way, I kept staring at my sandwich in disbelief that I traveled all the way to NOLA for Muffulettas only to realize the best one was closer to home this whole time. Boy, am I lucky. Since it was my first visit, they also gave me a slice of their passion fruit pie to try. The flavor was great -- nice and tart, slightly sour, and the crust was baked perfectly.
