Pastrami Sandwich
Derek T.

This is a nice lowkey deli/restaurant that serves up good sandwiches and Mediterranean food. It's kinda two restaurants in one so don't be confused when you walk in and see two names. So I opted for a nice pastrami sandwich and they certainly do not skimp. You'll get a whole lot of pastrami and mac salad so eat to your heart's content. Nothing much more to it. This is a good place for a quick lunch.

Very fresh and delicious

Meatball

We wanted to like this place but it just wasn't a great sandwich . I ordered the Turkey and my husband went with the meatball . The grinder roll is just very heavy on bread and the sandwich overall lacks in any flavor . The meatball was decent but it didn't come toasted . The macaroni salad was very heavily mayonnaise based.

Chicken kabob plate... Brown rice portion was enough to cover the bottom of the tray... The hummus was a poor portion...

I found Angelo's through Yelp and decided to give it a try. I love the restaurant because it has a home-like feel to it. It's very clean and orderly not to mention spacious. I even love the beautiful patio setting. The restroom was beautiful as well and very clean. I also love the fact that they have a small private room for customers that arrive in a group. The decor on the wall made it inviting as well. The service is very efficient and professional. My hubby and I were served by Sergio. He was very accommodating and welcoming. What I didn't realize was both Najwas and Angelo's are literally the same restaurant. I think that's quite talented and creative to serve both Mediterranean and Italian under the same roof. Seeing that's the case, I couldn't make up my mind what I really wanted. Italian is my go-to and I love Mediterranean so we decided to get a plate from both restaurants. The spaghetti was wonderful and so was the garlic bread. What puzzled me though is the oil that the garlic bread was sitting in and a little bit of the same oil was under the pasta. I wasn't sure if it was olive oil or not but it's sort of turned me off a bit. I'm not sure I will order any more pasta unless somehow I can order it dry. In the other hand the Mediterranean food had so much flavor. I have been to various establishments but the meat has never been full of flavor and tender, hummus was full of flavor and the salad was quite fresh. I also ordered some baklava. It was okay. I wasn't quite happy with the portion size at all, So I figured maybe you're paying for how good it taste. I would definitely return for more Mediterranean but I'll also keep in mind to order two plates instead of one for a decent size portion.

Greek salad and hummus with pita

My husband and I have been coming to Angelo's for 30 years. It's always been wonderful. Last week we tried their Mediterranean food. We each ordered Greek salads and hummus with pita to share. The hummus is made fresh on site and absolutely delicious. The salads were just as good with a beautiful presentation. We can't wait to try their other Mediterranean dishes. The service is superb and very friendly, attentive staff.

Turkey avocado sandwich
Jill L.

I love supporting mom and pop shops but the food here was just not up to par. I ordered the half turkey avocado sandwich with everything on it (cheese, lettuce, onion, mayo) on sourdough. It tasted like the most plain sandwich made with basic old ingredients from a vending machine. The bread was a little stale, the turkey was dry, there was barely a dab of mayo and they forgot the avocado so I had to go ask for it (lucky we dined in). And a half sandwich was about $10?!? The only saving grace was the macaroni salad, which tasted like it came out of a giant plastic container from the supermarket but hey, I like that taste LOL.

Still love this place! I like that Nanjwa's is here too and kept Angelo's! My sister got the spaghetti and she said it still good. I've had it 1-2 months ago and it was still good! I did have the half and half and at that time it was mizithra cheese so not sure if they really did change it to Parmesan as one other reviewer posted. I'd still come here. The only thing I'm sad about is they don't give you the same amount of garlic rolls, it's less now :( also the shawarma fries are pretty good, but because they use seasoned curly fries you need to ask for more tzatziki sauce. The seasoning of the Shawarma and the curly fries is pretty overpowering. I did suggest that they should use regular fries because me and my sister both think it would be much better.

Half Spaghetti with meat sauce and cheese.

I do not know what happened! My favorite spaghetti is so different. I usually get half and half. If you frequent Angelo's you know that is spaghetti, half with sauce and half with myzithra cheese. I usually get mariners and cheese, but today my wonderful husband got me meat sauce and cheese. It does not even look the same. The cheese is no longer shredded, it is powdered. Dry and powdered. No thank you. What happened to the cheese? It was great and unique. Now it's dry & powdered. Honestly, why would you get rid of a popular unique tasty product?

I used to come here all the time from 2018 to 2022, but after the new ownership, this place isn't the same anymore.

I love this little gem. Their pasta is delicious, and so is their meatball sub. If you get pasta, make sure you get the garlic rolls

The Food: I grabbed the Bacon, Egg & Cheese on Rosemary Garlic bread. The rosemary garlic bread is a game-changer; it adds such a savory, aromatic depth to a classic breakfast sandwich. The bacon was super crispy! Service: Broody took my order and he was great when I was asking about their tea menu to help me find a strong caffeinated tea that's also sweet. It's very clean- even the restroom. I love the orange strawberry scones!!! Absolutely perfect. Also the coffee is solid and you can get for here cups. They have yummy kombuchas, lattes, fun sodies, and juice. Also have alcoholic beverages if that's your jam. The burritos on the weekends are awesome and the price is great. Overall, there's so many choices here and it's a fun place to go. There's inside and outside seating and it's just a fun place to come. Can't wait to continue to try more and more here.

Inside is all reclaimed wood and cozy tables, people working on laptops, the coolest Redlands City Limits sign, kids flipping through board games and books in the corner, soft chatter, good energy. Pro tip: get in line as soon as you get there because it fills up fast and the line can absolutely go out the door. I had the chai latte (so good), a cheese danish (dangerous), and an Everlasting Ferments kombucha...the Habanero Ginger is a sleeper hit. You can also snag breakfast burritos if you're lucky (they sell out), or freshly made stuffed waffles from a vendor outside, which somehow makes the whole experience feel extra charming. There are cute little café tables all around and a tucked-away, walled patio in the back that's perfect for bigger groups. Already planning future coffee dates. Late to the party, but fully committed now!

Jim, the owner, was awesome. I had many questions and food restrictions. He was very patient with me and accommodated my food restrictions. I ordered the pulled pork BBQ panini with a coconut water. I cannot find the perfect describing words, it was more than I expected. I asked for the cherry Chipotle sauce on the side. Let me tell you, if I didn't have health issues that, I would have slathered my sandwhich with that sauce. I had to ask what the "meat" was made with because some vegan meats I'm not able to digest easily. He said mushrooms. I eat mushrooms very often I also eat meat here and there. I would have never guessed my panini had mushrooms. The sandwhich was delicious. It had a side salad with quinoa, beets, arugula, feta, and a dressing. That salad was actually good, I don't even like feta but I ate it with the salad. Don't get me started on the coconut water. I tried to get on the coconut water bandwagon and I never could because they all tasted bad to me. Welp... not this one. I can say I have a new craving. Comes in a nice glass bottle and tastes great. I was craving it the next day. $8 is a high price for me, but i can say if you have the $ the taste is worth it. And you can keep the cute glass bottle for other stuff! Jim was so kind he gave me a pumpkin cheesecake to try. I ate it later when i got home. I was expecting to only take a couple bites as im not a pumpkin gal. But i ate the whole thing. Im assuming its vegan by the texture. It had a real pumpkin flavor. It was soft and not too sweet. Just the right size to hit that night time dessert craving when your kid is alseep lmao If you read this far, go try it out. I hope you love it :) I will be returning, Jim, beleive it!
