2 enchiladas and crispy taco.
Janet E.

Got to try this place out for the first time to celebrate a friend's birthday. What i loved was the prices are very cheap my plate was only $14 for a combination plate. What took awhile was our food. The restaurant when we arrived was super packed but after we had ordered many people have already left. We were still waiting on our food and already had finished our second bowl of tortilla chips. When the food finally arrived it was hot & tasty.

Free chips and salsa

Maria's is like a remnant from a by gone era, when Mexican restaurants had velvet paintings. I took my parents and BF for lunch, we all ate off each other's plates, and fought over the delicious feast before us It's a small cafe in a mini mall that you might even realize was there, a true hole in the wall!

Beef Chimichanga

Good Mexican food. I had the chimichanga, it was crispy on the outside and the beef inside was moist. The rice was well seasoned and tasty. The ambiance was traditional Mexican, nice. The service was good tot. A little pricey for lunch, but ......

Posole

Solo dining.. ordered the bowl of Posole..comes with choice of Flour or Corn tortillas and chopped onions, cilantro and chopped Serrano chiles. Huge portion, super delicious. Ate about half and took remaining half home. Had the Agua de Jamaica to drink. Chips and salsa come to your table before your meal. Service was spectacular...always checking on me. Ambiance typical Mexican Restaurant paying Mexican Music which I enjoy. Definitely will be back!

#19. Chimichanga

The place is really nice and clean. We got seated right away. Gave us chips and delicious salsa. Just enough spice to enjoy and not burn your mouth. We ordered tacos and a chimichanga with rice and beans. The food came out fast and was delicious. I would recommend this place if you have not been already. Nice comfy place to eat and great customer service.

Found this place while visiting Loma Linda hospital, it's about 5 minutes away. I got there prime time lunch time because it was super busy which means it's a great spot. I ordered a torta de carnitas and I loved it, it had nice chunks of carnitas and it was a big size torta. I also order a burrito de asada which I love how nicely chopped the meat was and there was no fatty on it. Wish it had a better salsa to with it but still good. I want to come back and try other things on the menu.

Enchilada , Tamale

I came to Maria's Cafe for a Fathers Day Lunch and they did not disappoint. They sat us within 3 minutes even though the dining room was full. The dining room was beautiful and I love the theme they have. I ordered the taco, tamale, and enchilada combo and it was pretty good. The chicken was dry and chunky, but the sauce helps masks it. The enchilada was flavorful and nice balance of spices. The meat was also a little dry and too chunky. The tamale was the best out of the three items on the plate. The rice and beans were a nice addition to the plate. The chips and salsa were delicious! The prices are very expensive considering the food is average. The servers were friendly and very hospitable. I'm definitely curious to try their menudo, so I'll be back.

Place is crowded !!

I always get combo #2 and have yet to be disappointed. The rice and beans blow other restaurants out of the water. I need that salsa recipe!

You're here for the review. Here it is…read more BOMB. Everything on the menu is delicious. I've tried just about every food item, and today went with the sausage burrito. Thick, meaty, eggy, cheesy goodness. Today I was lucky to receive both the green and red salsas. Which is better? Naw, it doesn't work like that. They each have their own flavors and hit differently with each bite. Not enough kick for y'all, but for me it was perfect (lightweight). For coffee, I went with El Chino, which is their version of a Vietnamese Coffee. Without stirring, you're going to get that moment you're looking for. After a good stir, you're sipping on a creamy, but strong coffee. Perfect for those who need a quick boost. The girls here always take care of you, answers your questions and provide the best service. If you're not a fan of lines, set your alarm to come a little earlier than your normal coffee run (pre-9am). Either way, come here and try it yourself, you won't be disappointed.

The inside was nice and quiet with low pop/indie music playing which was quiet enough for someone to be working on their laptop. Low ambient noise especially considering it's next to a busy street. Service was super fast and nice. Burrito and chilaquiles were delicious. Nice flavoring in the loaded burrito and chilaquiles were spicy but not too spicy.

Buenos Dias Cafe - They also have a cute little section to buy from. I bought some shot glasses & a heart mug. Pricing on those are pretty reasonable as well.

It looked like it was made with love. The egg+cheese sandwich absolutely carried the experience (seriously, give that thing a raise), and the matcha held its own as it was refreshing! Now the not so great... the huevos rancheros were unfortunately very, very, salty.. but I didn't want my money to go to waste so I made myself eat it.. The coffee was bitter, pretty but bitter. I usually like bitter coffee but this one caught me off guard haha The Customer service wasn't great.. The server asked if we needed anything else but was already walking away before we could answer. Overall, the matcha and egg+cheese sandwich was the best part from this experience. I would recommend those two.

I read a review about the Halo-halo not being authentic! But I came by just to try. And I'm glad I…read moredid! It was so good! I could of eaten another one . I don't understand what THAT reviewer was referring to when he referenced that it wasn't authentic. Ok? To what island? Region? And what specific eatery/restaurant? All Halo-halo is made to who ever is making it and to what ingredients they have available AND if they have a decent Ice machine for shaved ice! I loved all the ingredients they had in it! The staff were really sweet and welcoming. And I was pleasantly surprised by the decor that was festive. I also tried the "Ube cheese pandesal" . I basically ruined my dinner for that night, but it was worth it! Come and support them! I'll be going back before I leave the region

Turns out all those jaw-dropping Yelp cakes are basically VIP-only.... most are special order, so the display case was giving more "snack break" than "dessert heaven." The place is tiny, and with about 10 kids running a full-volume chaos baking convention, the vibe was less cozy bakery and more "Chuck E. Cheese but with aprons and a Kitchen Aid." Not exactly the peaceful, sugar-filled escape I had imagined. I grabbed a few items anyway, slightly disappointed about the limited options and the unexpected kid frenzy. But plot twist... once we got home, the pastries actually slapped!!! My kids were fully impressed and overruled my disappointment, bumping this place from a "meh" to a "fine, I guess you're good. They were extremely happy with the mini ube cake.

By the time we were leaving the restaurant was completely full, so we definitely got there at the perfect time. Service was amazing from the start. The staff, especially our server, were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and friendly. Our order was taken within about five minutes of being seated, and the food came out impressively fast -- less than ten minutes. Everything we ordered was really good. One small tip: I'd recommend asking for the potato wedges well done and maybe a little lighter on the seasoning. My favorite dish was definitely the French toast -- it had a slight crunch on the outside while still being soft and fluffy inside, which made the texture perfect. The red chilaquiles were my second favorite. They had great flavor, and next time I'd probably add avocado to take them to the next level. Overall, this spot is definitely worth checking out for breakfast. Great service, quick turnaround, and really satisfying dishes. I'd happily come back again.

Our waitress was tentative and on point. She moved quick and was accurate. Today, I tried something new. I ordered the Carne Asada Torta and substituted my French fries for home fries (order them extra crispy). I prefer them extra crispy because they're a little under done for my liking the regular way they cook them. The accidentally added bell pepper and onion to them and the waitress let me know ahead of time. I told her it was ok because I actually like them like that. My torta was good. It's huge! Definitely a meal for 2 people. The bread was soft - it could've been toasted a bit more for me because it wasn't able to support the beans and meat and started falling apart. It comes with lettuce, tomato, avocado, beans, mayo, and cheese. The meat was flavorful and even had a nice char and the refried beans were nice and creamy. Even though it was good, it wasn't my favorite. No matter what you order, make sure and get their salsas. They have a green and red and I think it's best to mix them... The ambiance is full of life. There's music playing in the background but it's not too loud. Definitely a cool little spot to dine in.
