AL Coyote or EL Coyote? Both, apparently. Even the signs inside aren't conclusive. The menu is wide and overwhelming. They take Apple Pay. The drinks are bottled or fresca. The service is great. We got chips and salsa before our meal. I ordered the 3 taco plate with shredded beef and a large horchata. The food was 7/10, the meat being tasty but dominant. My wife ordered the carne asada fries. She gave the food a 8/10, but that was before she had diarrhea later that night. Parking is strip mall parking. It's actually called Al Coyote, not "El" Coyote. Located in a small shopping center on Washington Street, expect a tight parking lot experience, especially if there are big trucks that day. The menu is broad enough, some house specials and specialties, tortas,and so on. My usual audition meal is a carne asada burrito, wet style if available. The wait wasn't too long after ordering, which was appreciated. However, My request for both red and green sauces didn't register on the cook's end. I am not sure exactly what the cream sauce slathered on top was, but fortunately it wasn't 100% sour cream or I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the food. As such, I'll be sure to mention no sauce if there is another time. I really liked the beans and rice inside. The carne asada didn't seem overly unique in the seasoning department, nor did the red sauce assuage my taste buds. Nonetheless, it was a decent size and I wasn't hungry afterwards for a long time. Went here to pick up some dinner for my family. Ordered asada nachos that were really good! My son got asada fries that were also really good. I ordered the ceviche and the shrimp was nice & plump. I had tortilla chips with it and the chips were so light and crunchy. Not too hard and kept its crunch throughout the nachos and ceviche. Will definitely be going back soon read more

This place is one of the most profound places for authentic Mexican food you could come by with a heartwarming feel to it as well as it's owned no other than by a beautiful Mom and pop with the kids shining through here and there! A negative to this spot the Al Pastor doesn't come off a Trompo,but who cares becuz the flavor is on point with slices of pineapple sprinkled in.This is our go to for Taco Tuesdays&Thursdays.Each Taco comes with chopped raw onions,cilantro,grilled onions,and grilled jalapeños.I hope u like spice becuz their red salsa brings the heat.Cool off with an Agua Fresca that aren't too sweet so the natural flavors come through.Gotsta keep it real tho...after bashing another spot for minced asada.Came here for redemption to get my asada fix.Unfortunately,I guess it's the new norm to mince asada to practically dust WTH...Wasn't like that before...Must be the $$$ of meat.If that's the case, charge more for it and serve actual pieces of carne.For now I'm sticking with Al pastor while sneaking in a Buche taco or two every now and then. read more

I walked in and waited for about 15 minutes I didn't get service till then and when I did the only reason I was acknowledged was because a boss of some sort let hjs workers know they have customers and after that they tell us they are closed , even though someone was sitting down eating . Awesome little spot! My husband and I had had the bacon breakfast burrito a couple weeks prior and it was really good. Tonight we came for the tacos and we really enjoyed them as well. The reason I give 4 stars is because the al pastor was suuuuuper salty and greasy. Nonetheless- I still finished it but I probably wouldn't order it again. I'll just stick to the classic carne and pollo :) we'll definitely be back though! Also could have used some more onion and cilantro but that's just preference. read more

A little disappointed got in there and no one was paying attention to us. Ask for a wet burrito with green sauce got wet burrito with red sauce the whole time I was trying to explain to them and the kids were talking to each other the mom wasn't listening she was just a hot mess and there's nobody in there . Their menu is quite extensive so it may take you a moment to consider your choices if you are not familiar with the menu. I ordered a buche burrito and my coworker ordered a California burrito. I figure each burrito probably weights a pound. More important than the serving size, the food is actually tasty. We also got a complimentary order of chip and salsa, which I was not impressed. Chips were too thick and the salsa too watery. There is a bottle of Salsa Huichol on the table but it was not opened. I enjoyed my first visit to El Coyote but that are many items I would to try, such as tamales, tortas, birria, sopes, and menudo. read more

First off, I was craving some Mexican food and Maria's was closed and this being a block down the road I figured why not. Had some issues but overall food was decent enough to give this place another shot. Ordered online for pickup and got a carne asada burrito, California burrito and 2 fish tacos. First issue, I paid for my order online and when I went to go pick it up the cashier rung my order up again so I was confused and thought maybe I picked an option to were I pay at th store (first time using GrubHub by the way) and I didn't pay no mind cause I was in a rush. Got my order and when I got home, I went straight for the tacos and they werent fish tacos. They were good carne asada tacos but weren't the fish tacos that I wanted. I checked my online order status and I did pay online and luckily enough I asked for a recipe after they rung me up at the store so after getting a GrubHub representative I was able to at least get a refund for the online order since I paid again at the store. Both burritos were good, they both were a good size for the prices and they filled those things up so I was at least happy there. Overall, customer service could be a tad more welcoming but having worked in these types of places before....I didn't mind to much there since I've had those types of days and my issue was resolved with the double payment so no harm there. Definitely double check on the orders though but since the tacos I got where at good, I can't complain to much there. In the end I really did enjoy the food...will give them another shot whenever I'm in the area again read more
