    Carne asada and pollo
    Tim B.

This place was really good with the handmade tortillas in the authentic Tijuana style tacos. Service was prompt and the food came out within a few minutes. We got a few Carne Asada tacos and a few chicken. The meat was smoky and delicious and the tortillas mixed with the guacamole that they put on the taco was phenomenal. You have to try the frijoles de olla and make sure to get the cheese to add on top. Delicious! Will be returning!

My cousin, who recently moved to SoCal, is on a quest to find the best tacos in the IE. We were already in Colton for another engagement and she found Tacos La Central to try. We were not expecting much given that it was a literal stand alone building in the middle of nowhere. If Google didn't direct us there, we would have missed it. Our first impression was that the meat selections were limited--no lingua, tripas, nor chacete. We did a takeout order given the 97 degree heat but did notice a nice outdoor seating area that would be perfect in cooler weather. In a few short minutes, our order was called. I tried the adobada, chorizo, and asada and was blown away by the flavor. The meat was wonderfully charred, seasoned, and aromatic. They were even generous with guacamole, radish, onions, and cilantro served on fluffy, soft corn tortillas. Tacos La Central wins for the most flavorful tacos!

Food: Asada taco good flavor and nice kick and guacamole, chicken Mulita lots of chicken could've use more cheese. Only thing is they don't serve carnitas Service: nice and fast good Ambience: on a corner small parking but seating in the back with string lights for nighttime

POV - enjoying my meal from the outside seating area

4++ Tijuana style taco spot located in Colton. From what I understand, this place is a long standing neighborhood fave. The spot itself is a standalone building/ stand with an outside seating area that felt tranquil and some parking along the front/side of the building. Dining with the fellow patrons, I definitely got the vibe that it's a beloved neighborhood spot. When I got up to the window and ordered, the person was friendly, efficient, and helpful. The tacos were really delicious and reasonably priced. I ordered an asada taco and an adobada taco. Both with everything, which means when it comes to TJ style, you get a healthy dose of the avocado salsa in these handmade tortilla rolled up delights. During my meal, I was greeted by a really cute guest (it was a cat and I think she was a stray - i gave here a few bites from my food and she was on her way). Definitely a great spot that serves great tacos and I can see why this place is loved.

Their Al Pastor & Asada tacos a phenomenal. The flavors were full & tasty. You can tell they do a good job with marinating their meats. The tacos were stuffed full with all the toppings. Price was fair. The team members were nice. I took a slight detour on my way from AZ to Central CA to try this spot & I was not disappointed. I'll definitely hit up this spot again if I find myself in the area.

The tacos here are phenomenal! The al pastor is the way to go, it is spit roasted and always crispy. Service is wonderful, they are so friendly and hard-working here. There are always lines, but they move quickly. Prices are fair and their salsa at the perfect touch. Highly recommended if you are looking for delicious tacos in the area!

On 11/12/25 at 3:57pm, The cashier was very rude, sarcastic, and condescending. She looked angry giving the receipt. She was telling her coworkers about how stupid I was. She didn't want to disclose her name. The quality is very poor . The asada was all full of nerve meat and fat. The avocado was brownish color and taste rotten . Don't waste your money and time.

Great little spot in Colton. Surprised I haven't seen it on social media. Tacos cost $3.50 but are stacked with meat. Delicious and well worth the trip. Outdoor seating so don't come in the rain. Quick service so no need to wait.

These are the best Al pastor tacos in the area. They are very very good although I wish they came with pineapple. In addition their agua de Jamaica is very very good. It's like a citrus blend that is honestly one of the best Jamaicas I've had. The con is that it's cash only but it's definitely worth it. Also side note if you're a cat lover there's always a Gang of Four neighborhood cats here which I absolutely adore. I also get an extra taco to share with them.

My son said it was really busy but we went on a Thursday around :4pm and no one was there. That quickly changed after we ordered. We each got carne asada tacos and they were great. Wonderful flavor and the guacamole, onions and cilantro were perfect. We sat at a table under the tree. The service was quick and they were very nice. Definitely going back. Only place I know with street tacos.

Bad service the people in the windows are rude and condescending with all the customers not just me. The quality is very poor asada is all full of nerve meat and fat. avocado no taste and they promote hand pressed tortillas but they only serve them w asada tacos. Not w the adovada.. the salsa is the all watery and no taste. Don't waste your money and time.

    Seno C.

Awesome taco. Friendly people and service is fast. The meats are very juicy and full of flavor. It is best to eat it there but if you want to take it home, ask for a separate container for the salsa. This the tacos won't be too soggy.

They accept card and cash. Sometimes their card reader is down so we take cash just in case

Are they open during these quarantine times?

    Si They Open

    Do they serve beer?

    Nope

    No cash only?

    They accept credit cards also.

Is there any taco Tuesday specials?

    It's actually closed on Tuesdays

    What's the phone number?

I don't think they have one. And another helpful hint is they are closed Tuesdays.

    Is the food filling?

Absolutely. They're very generous on the amount of meat in the food. Strongly suggest you give them a try!!

Do they allow phone orders around lunch?

No they don't place is real old Skool

Do they cut the al pastor/adobada meat straight off the trompo on to the taco? Or do they cut it and cook it a little more on the grill? Just asking cuz i like them cut straight off the trompo?

I know they have a trompo but to be honest after I put my order I went to sit down. They might put some of it on the griddle if you request it more crispy.

I'm guessing there's no vegetarian options quesadillas maybe?

You can get veggie options with more veggies inside... just not as worth it for the price but they're still good !

It took 5-10 minutes just to get menus and another 15 minutes before our server, Vicky, came to take our order. We ordered everything at once to avoid delays, yet we were never served the usual chips and salsa. The biggest issue was the wait time and lack of attention. While we were sitting there, multiple tables that arrived after us were seated, ordered, ate, and left before we even received our food. Meanwhile, other servers were clearly attentive and efficient with their tables. Our food took about 40 minutes, arrived cold, and came out separately. After that, our server barely checked on us--we had to ask other staff for help. No one came to see how things were or to bring the check. We ended up going to the counter ourselves to pay, and there was no apology at all. This was our second visit with the same server and the same experience. We gave the restaurant a second chance, but unfortunately that was a mistake. We spent over $150, and the level of service did not match that at all. The food itself has good flavor, but the slow and inattentive service completely ruins the experience. Sadly, we won't be returning.

The wait wasn't too long after ordering, which was appreciated. However, My request for both red and green sauces didn't register on the cook's end. I am not sure exactly what the cream sauce slathered on top was, but fortunately it wasn't 100% sour cream or I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the food. As such, I'll be sure to mention no sauce if there is another time. I really liked the beans and rice inside. The carne asada didn't seem overly unique in the seasoning department, nor did the red sauce assuage my taste buds. Nonetheless, it was a decent size and I wasn't hungry afterwards for a long time. Overall, it's probably the place I'd need to visit 3-4 more times and try different things. For now I'd say 3.25 Stars
