Craving some authentic street tacos I saw great reviews for hungry bear and gave them a call. Yes they're open! Friendly customer service over the phone and in person. Super sweet people, working hard, bringing some amazing tacos to the crowd that gathered. They have a great team here! Freshly made tortillas make all the difference. Dough is cranked out by hand, having that toasted exterior with a sort of airy inside and slight chew, perfectly rolled to contain all the goodness with one hand. Asada, pastor, chorizo, pollo, birria, cabeza, tripa and lengua meats available. Tacos range from $2-$4 some include avocado and comes with cucumbers and self serve hot sauces. The pastor was so juicy and plentiful topped with cilantro and onion. Asada had those rendered, char crispy tips with plump beef. Neatly wrapped and presented. Lots of people taking theirs to go and a few tailgating on the spot. We chose the latter. Located in the Target parking lot off orange show road. Some great tacos to cure that craving. These will be memorable!

This place has the best variety of tacos at only 2.99. Their selection varies from asada, pollo, tripitas, birria, pastor, chorizo, y cabeza. They also have many other options besides tacos like alambres, nachos, tortas, quesabirrias, quesadillas, and more. You will not be disappointed!

Food was great. Got 4 tacos and a quesabirria. Absolutely delicious. Get some avocado to go with it. Quick order and wait; wasnt long tho.

Stopped by here and tried out their asada tacos. They add a healthy amount of guac on them, a little heavy on the onions. The asada has the quality of your average mid food truck. The tortillas were decent, made by hand, overall your average taco, nothing crazy. Asada Tacos: 6.9

Loaded potato with carne asada

The food I can honestly say if so good, they add heart and joy to the making of the food. The service was great. I can say with no doubt that this place gave me joy and comfort to eat. The ambiance of the place was great as well. I was a bit sketch of the place, but it's actually really good.

A taste of Tijuana to try if you are in the area. Quick, Clean, good price and delicious grilled food. I got Pastor and Asada, you can tell it is made with love when they wrap them. This is one of those gems where you would consider going back for a second bite and more. Will be back soon!

ok.. stopppppp right NOW! Hungry Bear is my new #1 taco truck ever. They ate and so did I- 5 tacos to be exact, which was way too many, but I'll be fine lol. I LOVE that they make their tortillas "in truck", fresh guac is included, tacos are individually wrapped and the delish char on their meat. Idk if that can be topped. Their green sauce had more flavor than usual (in the best way possible), and habanero salsa had us begging for mercy. Both were amazing. I ordered lengua (doesn't come with guac) and asada. lol something about the lengua not being chopped up was a little freaky, but once u get past the visual... yum! Asada was perfect! They don't double up on the tortillas like other trucks (except for lengua) which I prefer. Bf got an asada burrito and said: "very flavorful and meat tastes like it came straight off the grill. 9/10" Final thoughts? I'll be back.. like later this week :D

Quesabirria and taco de asada

I was craving tacos and found this taco truck on Yelp. I looked at the pictures and knew I had to try them. They're located by the Target parking lot. They accept cash and card. The tacos are $2, and they also have other options like mulitas, tortas, ramen, quesatacos, burritos, and quesadillas. The tortillas are handmade! They have 7 meat options with classics like asada, pollo, birria, pastor, chorizo, tripas, and cabeza. There were only a few people in line when I arrived. They process the orders expeditiously. They have a few different salsa options: green, red, and habanero. The habanero was tasty! The taco de carne asada was good! The carne is seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The quesabirria was good too. The meat was tender and juicy. The meat and cheese ratio was great. Next time, I will ask for the quesabirria to be on the crispy side. There is no seating area. Most people were eating in their car or standing and eating their food. The weather is pretty fresh, so definitely bring a sweater. Overall, it was a great experience. I will definitely be stopping by again when I'm in the area.

Normally pass by and wonder why people are always waiting there for Taco so I decided to stop in the parking lot for Taco. A lady told me Hungry Bear was good and it was $2 for the tacos. I was like let's see what they have to offer. I wanted lingua but had only $8 on me. I went for 2 Carne Asda and 2 Pollo Asada. I was impressed with the asada as it was tasty on its own mint the pollo. I wonder why they put the Guacamole on the taco. The green Salsa was a tiny bit spicy but the lady that attended to me was nice and friendly. I was given a discount Y I don't know but it said discount on the receipt. I will surely come back for the Asada and try out the Lingua. I sat in my car to eat it.

When I run errands during lunch I always see a line of people and I finally had time to stop today. I grew up super close to the border and I can attest to these tacos being legit. I got carne asada taco, a quesabirria taco and horchata. I was full! The guac is perf. The meet is perfect and the handmade fresh tortilla is just the cherry on top. Also loved the horchata. The service was fast and the guy at the window was personable.

Hungry Bear Tacos is by far one of my top 5 spots! Local, clean, delicious, friendly staff & they've never messed up my order! Everything is fresh!

The adobada meat was flavorful, didn't come with cilantro & onion but that may have been something I could have requested on the side. The fish tacos were great too, topped with a balanced cabbage topping. The creamy chipotle sauce is so freaking good! The other salsas were good too, not as hot as we preferred. My husband got down to get the food and he said it was packed! So we were glad to order ahead. We will def be back, there's literally not any authentic Mexican food places around, oh and can't forget the tortillas are homemade!!!

The birria ramen had the same issue it tasted mostly like salt with very little actual flavor. The tacos were just okay, nothing that stood out. On top of that, the prices are high. The service was also pretty slow, and they only had one salsa option, which unfortunately wasn't good either. There are much better birria spots out there. I gave this place a try because of all the hype, but I wouldn't go back or recommend it.

I must have gotten the wrong things to order cause what I got last evening was not the move…read more Apparently I should have gotten their fish dishes cause I got their carne asada tacos and it was interesting. Let's start with the tacos. They were very greasy and suuuuuper salty. I like my carne asada to be flavorful but whoever marinated the meat that day was either heavy on the salt or over marinated. I'm leaning on over marinated cause the texture of the asada was terrible. It was mushy and stringy when probably mean it marinated too long. Maybe the choice of meat was had too? It just tasted like ground beef and not flap meat like most places do it. It was the same story for the California burrito. I love a good California. Probably one of my favorite burritos to get. But Bahia was not it. Again same problem with the meat. Overly salty and meat texture was off. Ironically enough, the parts that didn't have any meat were very good. Now when it came down the service the lady behind the counter was very nice and the restaurant itself was very clean. So I do give them props for that. Maybe I'll come back and try their seafood/fish dishes since that seems to be what they are known for but if it's based of the asada, wasn't a good first impression.

Despite the name, there's no actual drive‑thru, just a walk‑up pickup window, but it has that classic quick taco‑shop vibe. The menu is a mix of Mexican and American options -- your usual burritos, taquitos, tacos, plus burgers and a few extras. I ordered my go‑to ground beef taco combo, which is what I always get at a new Mexican spot because it tells me everything I need to know at once: tacos, meat, beans, and rice. Ordering was easy. The guy at the window wasn't overly friendly, but he wasn't rude either. It was over 100 degrees outside, so honestly he handled himself well and still gave solid service. My food came out in about ten minutes and the pricing was definitely affordable. I'd rate the food a solid 7 out of 10. It tasted fine and was exactly what I expected from a quick Mexican spot with simple, decent flavor. I also grabbed chicken taquitos for my kid. They looked basic, nothing fancy, and since my kid wasn't in the car to give a review, I'm going off visuals alone. They definitely weren't giving Michelin Star energy, so I doubt they tasted like it, but they looked perfectly edible for a quick bite. To sum it up, if I'm already in the area, I'd stop again. I wouldn't go out of my way to come grab a bite, but it's a reliable little spot when you need something fast and affordable.
