Cold pancakes and eggs
Mike J.

The pancakes, eggs & sausage were cold. Ask for fresh food, the 2nd plate they brought was still cold. The waitresses were nice about it. The tacos were ok. I got 2 asada and 1 al pastor. Would I come back?? Probably not. It wasn't for me. The ambiance in this Restaurant was ok, only thing I didn't like is that they allow ppl selling items come up to you while you eat, asking if you wanna buy this and that.

Steak fajitas

We drove from Anaheim to try their food and it did not disappoint, the food was amazing. Our server Lorena was the best, extremely friendly and welcoming. The steak fajitas were sizzling and the steak was so tender that it melted on your mouth. Would definitely come again

2nd time here and everything tasted amazing and so flavorful. Service is always very quick and very nice. It's always busy here so there might be a short wait but it's worth it.

Receipt, #15 combo plate is $18.99 on the menu. They charged me $19.75 + tax.

I'm giving this place 1 star because of their dishonest pricing. I called in a to-go order and specifically asked for the prices of each item. The employee gave me amounts that were slightly higher than what's listed on the menu -- for example: * Combo #15 is $18.99 on the menu, but I was told $19.75 * Tuesday's special is $13.99, but they said $14.55 * Carne asada burrito listed at $11.29, but quoted at $11.74 * Large Jamaica priced at $5.99, but they told me $6.23 At first, I assumed they were just quoting me the total with tax included. But when I picked up my food, they added tax on top of those already-inflated prices. So I ended up paying more than I should have. On top of that, the food was mediocre -- nothing memorable or worth returning for. If you decide to eat here, double-check what they're charging you. The lack of transparency left a bad taste in my mouth, and not from the food.

Califas.. just omelet with spinach and cheese with avocado, they forgot the sour cream and salsa didn't think it was a Mexican dish at all

The food was good, but I think more authentic Mexican dishes would be better nothing more to say

Cute Mexican restaurant in Colton Saturday evening dinner ... I got the carnitas Torta delicious. Carnitas cooked perfectly and juicy. Hubby got Surf and Turf burrito. Shrimp cooked delicious not overcooked. Steak cooked tender and juicy. Chicken flautas were excellent my daughter couldn't stop doing the happy dance in her chair. Last dish was my daughter's Steak Fajitas. The steak was cooked amazing the vegetables (onions & bell peppers) we superb. We will definitely come back during the week for their weekly specials. Nice spot in Colton.

This hidden gem has the food that tastes like homemade. Good customer service and GREAT food!!! The food came out fast and delicious. If you're in the area this little hidden gem is the place to try. Please go and support Alexa's Cafe. We will be back for breakfast and menudo!

My husband has been eating here at lunch for a while & insisted I go to breakfast with him this morning. The restaurant is super clean. We were greeted immediately upon entering and the staff was super friendly and very attentive. The food portions are humungous, very fresh, tasted great and they had American style breakfasts, Mexican breakfasts & dinners and a board at the front door announcing specials. Both of us went with American style breakfasts, but we will definitely be back soon to have some Mexican food. He's had a lot of the dishes here before & loves everything he's been served. This is a real gem!

Big portions, good food. Kind of a compacted area to eat. Horchata is really good. Definitely a good breakfast spot

Very disappointing experience, mainly due to poor service…read more We were told there would be a 20-minute wait, which was fine. However, after being seated, everything went downhill. It took 5-10 minutes just to get menus and another 15 minutes before our server, Vicky, came to take our order. We ordered everything at once to avoid delays, yet we were never served the usual chips and salsa. The biggest issue was the wait time and lack of attention. While we were sitting there, multiple tables that arrived after us were seated, ordered, ate, and left before we even received our food. Meanwhile, other servers were clearly attentive and efficient with their tables. Our food took about 40 minutes, arrived cold, and came out separately. After that, our server barely checked on us--we had to ask other staff for help. No one came to see how things were or to bring the check. We ended up going to the counter ourselves to pay, and there was no apology at all. This was our second visit with the same server and the same experience. We gave the restaurant a second chance, but unfortunately that was a mistake. We spent over $150, and the level of service did not match that at all. The food itself has good flavor, but the slow and inattentive service completely ruins the experience. Sadly, we won't be returning.

Today I took my family for breakfast and within minutes of walking through the door realized it was a mistake, sitting is very limited! We soon noticed the staff was only one person doing the cooking and one person the charging, serving, taking orders and cleaning the tables. It is completely understaffed!!! The wait to be served is a bit too long and prices are a bit above average. Food is good, it is fair to say! Even though we have completely different understanding of what over easy eggs are, I can let that go. Serving size are good. Please hire more people! You have a good location and obviously good friends to post good reviews on instagram. God speed!

After I used it and we decided we didn't want anything, the cashier told us we had to buy something because I used the restroom. If that's their policy, it should be communicated before someone uses the restroom, not afterward. The way it was handled felt rude and unnecessary. Instead of politely explaining the rule, the cashier demanded and insisted we had to purchase something, even though we were genuinely considering ordering when we came in. Respect goes both ways, and the interaction left us feeling unwelcome. Clear communication and basic courtesy would've prevented this situation.

The service is great. We got chips and salsa before our meal. I ordered the 3 taco plate with shredded beef and a large horchata. The food was 7/10, the meat being tasty but dominant. My wife ordered the carne asada fries. She gave the food a 8/10, but that was before she had diarrhea later that night. Parking is strip mall parking. The menu is broad enough, some house specials and specialties, tortas, and so on. My usual audition meal is a carne asada burrito, wet style if available. The wait wasn't too long after ordering, which was appreciated. However, My request for both red and green sauces didn't register on the cook's end. I am not sure exactly what the cream sauce slathered on top was, but fortunately it wasn't 100% sour cream or I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the food. As such, I'll be sure to mention no sauce if there is another time. I really liked the beans and rice inside. The carne asada didn't seem overly unique in the seasoning department, nor did the red sauce assuage my taste buds. Nonetheless, it was a decent size and I wasn't hungry afterwards for a long time. Overall, it's probably the place I'd need to visit 3-4 more times and try different things. For now I'd say 3.25 Stars
