The customer service here is horrible. The own's son was so rude and snappy with my husband. My husband asked about sauce to put on his rice and his exact response in a very nasty tone was "a lot of labor goes into making that sauce ". My husband responded by saying " I didn't ask you that. So he charges him $2 bucks for that little cup of sauce. So, my husband went to walk in to the back bar area to sit down until his food was ready and the owner's son told him "no, come back out to the front. Why be so rude to your customers? Tried out their Bulgogi and Spicy Pork bowls - delicious. The meat was tasty and they give generous portions. Asked for spicy red pepper paste on the side (gochujang) and we mixed our bowls with it to add a spicy kick to it. Will definitely be back to try their subs. Very friendly family owned spot. Zero frills. All the thrills. I've been looking for an authentic Philly cheesesteak in DMV. You know, just the plain old greasy steak, soft bread, grilled onions and CHEESE WHIZ. Whiz wit! And everywhere I go it's American and provolone. Or it's super fancy and over priced. Cheesesteak Mikes delivers the authentic style closest to the ones I've had in Philly. They are 8in subs but somewhat narrow but for me, an always hungry woman, it was more than enough. For a guy however you might want to double the meat or get 2 but they are priced just right at less than $7 each. My friend got the Italian which was even bigger with more meat. I knocked it down one star because the "crispy fries" were soggy when I got home but they were seasoned just right. The onion rings were crispy and perfect rings and did not get soggy at all. This place is one of my favorite hole-in-the-wall spots to go to whenever I am up in the Silver Spring area. A bit unsuspecting at first as when you walk in, it seems more like a local bar but the food has always blown me away. The cheesesteak is usually my go-to. Not a typical Philly Cheesesteak but it doesn't try to be and I don't mind at all. Definitely ask for extra hot peppers for the extra kick. They also have a great selection of KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) and other Korean dishes. Their chicken is leagues above that of chain Korean fried chicken restaurants and the more traditional Korean dishes such as the L.A. Galbi and Bulgogi are also great. A great spot to grab a beer but I would definitely recommend you try out some of their food too if you're in the area. read more

I saw this place on TikTok and was like whoa I didn't know it was Korean-owned! I've drove past this for 10 years and never tried it out. I got the reg cheesesteak with a mushrooms and got the Korean friend chicken, half garlic soy and spicy. Cheesesteak is solid, make sure you get it!! I'll be back to try out the other variations like bulgogi. The KFC was alright, it was super crispy but the sauce was little lacking compared to other places. I'd give it a 3/5 stars. It comes with pickled radish as well! Don't worry about front parking, there's ample parking behind the building. I'm still on the lookout for a delicious local cheesesteak sub. I usually have to visit Baltimore area for a decent cheesesteak sub. Unfortunately, this did not do it for me. I ordered a cheesesteak sub with everything but tomatoes and a side of fries online for pickup. When i arrived, the place is definitely like a hole in the wall so I was expecting a delicious sub. I paid a little over $15 and I definitely do not think it was worth it. The sandwich had provolone, steak Ofcourse, grilled onions, and peppers and asked for it to be extra toasted. I like my sandwich with a little crunch and it was soggy, with no crunch, barely toasted. The sandwich was a regular but was pretty small and didnt have a lot of meat for the price. Taste and flavor also wasn't that great. The boardwalk fries were pretty good and had the perfect amount of salt! I do appreciate the food being HOT even after a 20 minute drive back home. There is parking in front of the store and it's definitely not a sit down restaurant, more carry out vibes. Unless there were seats in the back. I do appreciate the simple online ordering system, however I won't return, I'll just make my way to Baltimore to get my cheesesteak subs till i find something local. read more

Disgusting!!!! I went to the deli. The cook made my sandwich on the grill without gloves. The place was dirty and was patched up with packing tape. Deli feels filthy and unkept. I wouldn't be surprised if it is rat infested. I am surprised that the health department has not shut them down. read more
