Friday 11/1/2024 I had originally found this spot through instagram and I think it had something to do with them having the best cheesesteaks so I had to find out for myself. I made a takeout order through their website and got bulgogi $14.49, soy & garlic Korean fried chicken (half chicken) $17, small sweet & spicy D.G.J (dak gang jeong) $9, and the famous Philly cheesesteak $9.49. - the bulgogi is a rather expensive plate that comes with rice, green beans, bulgogi, and more. The bulgogi meat was pretty underwhelming but the meal itself was okay. - The soy & garlic Korean fried chicken was solid but it didn't do much for me as I've had better for about the same price. - The famous Philly cheesesteak was smaller than I expected and it was just alright (not best cheesesteak worthy). - The small sweet & spicy D.G.J is pretty much fried chicken bites with a sweet sauce. It was significantly smaller than what I expected from a $9 (which is very expensive) but it was alright. Overall, the food was alright/decent but I do think that they are tripping with the prices ($55.63 total is pretty crazy). The prices are too much based on the taste & portions of the food. It's a cool spot but I can't see myself coming back in the future.

The best cheesesteaks and korean fried chicken in the area!! The beef cheesesteak is sooo delicious. The korean fried soy garlic chicken is crispy, flavorful and perfect! The sweet and spicy chicken was also incredible. I can't wait to try more of their menu items!!

Had very ok service with very ok rice cakes. My friend had the cheesesteak which he loved but as far as the service vibes and rice cakes it was super ok. Not sure if I'd stop again but nothing particularly wrong with the place, rice cakes were just overcooked and hard.

When I pulled up to this spot, I questioned why I was there. The outside of this place isn't appealing (but don't sleep on it). I ordered, I walked out. Wait, to the right, is a door, that leads to a Pub!! I get my food, and it's the BEST I've EVER had...LET'S GO!! . Where I am: @cheesesteakmikes . Location Reviewed: 10222 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring M.D. . Menu Includes: Dumplings, Bulgogi, Chicken Katsu, Gochugang Burger, Flavored Korean Fried Chicken, Dak Gang Jeong, Kimchi, Rice Cakes, Subs-Cheesesteak Sub, Bulgogi Sub, Craft Burgers, Hand cut fries, Korean Radish cubes, Wings, Bottled Beverages, Beer, Wine, & Cocktails. . Items Reviewed: Their Dak Gang Jeong (crusted, diced chicken breast with spicy soy sauce, & fried rice cakes med. $11.99). STAMP!! Perfectly crispy, & crunchy. With the sweet & hot spicy sauce, & sprinkled with sesame seeds...I could eat these forever!! Their Half Sweet & Spicy Fried Chicken (with a sweet & spicy chili sauce, sprinkled with sesame seeds $14.99). STAMP!! The integrity of the crunchiness remained with the chicken being doused in the exceptional flavored sauce!! The BEST fried chicken I've EVER HAD!! Yep... Their Half Garlic Soy Fried Chicken (with garlic soy sauce, sprinkled with sesame seeds $14.99). STAMP!! Mild & garlicky in taste, still crunchy, flavorful, & scrumptious!! Their Cheesesteak (with provolone, onions, hot peppers, a canned beverage, & hand cut fries $10.99). LIKE THAT!! Prime Rib was used, fresh provolone, & the FRIES were cut & cooked right there!! . I decided to stop by the carryout after driving past it several times. This is an Asian carryout. There is a bar on the side of the carryout, but I didn't go. I ordered a chicken cheesesteak with boardwalk fries. I ate the fries on the way home. Both were really good. The customer service was good. I had to wait a minute to get my food. The carryout part is small inside. It was clean inside. There is no inside or outside seating.

If very fitting that the best cheese steaks in the DMV would be right here in Silver Spring, MD. It's as if NYC's chopped cheese and Philly's cheese steaks had a baby! The lettuce, tomato, mayo and hot peppers included is the ultimate combination! It doesn't leave you feeling disgusted with yourself after. Not to mention it's under $10??! It's run by the sweetest Korean family with many Korean options to choose from. Get your KFC (Korean fried chicken) fix here! Along with bulgogi, galbi, katsu and much more. We got the boneless chicken bites to share and they were 10/10! (This sounds like an ad but I promise you it's not lol it was just really good) Make sure to head to the back! There's a hidden pub that many might miss if you over look it. There's plenty of seating at the bar or at the tables. We also had some soju + beer that came with these cute glasses that tells the alcohol percentage. Honestly just great vibes all together, service was amazing and would definitely be back! Also a huge bonus that it's right off the 495 and a mile from the 95!

I recently visited a Korean takeout spot, and it was an amazing experience. They offer a delicious Bulgogi cheesecake that I've never had elsewhere, and their Korean wings are simply amazing! This is a hidden gem in my opinion. Highly recommended! Side note: They have a pub in the back but I have never been, but pretty sure if you want to eat there or have a beer that's where you can go since the front does not offer seats

Very good cheesesteaks from this spot. The Steak was moist and flavorful and the toppings didn't take up too much of the sandwich. They even offer Cheez Whiz as an option for the cheese you want so your friend visiting from Philly can shut up for once lol . Very good customer service as well . You will enjoy eating at this spot so give this place a check out.

Pretty cool... a place for my husband AND me. He says his cheese steak is just ok. The restaurant side is small and they don't have high chair for kids but I guess that's expected for a pub.

I've eaten at Cheesesteak Mike's a bunch of times over the past six years, I've had the sandwiches and fries and they're delicious! Though after a trip to South Korea a few years ago, I crave Korean food very often. I usually head to Rockville for my fix but I love trying different places. Tonight we tried the bulgogi, dumplings and Korean Fried Chicken from Cheesesteak Mike's. The dumplings can either be fried or steamed. I got the steamed version and they were perfect with a little dipping sauce. The bulgogi was a generous portion of flavorful beef on rice. The egg was 99 cents extra, but well worth it. The bulgogi comes with kimchi, a few fried cubes of tofu, and a portion of green beans and mushrooms in a spicy sauce. I ate a few pieces of the fried chicken and it was perfectly sauced and delicious! For the price, you really can't beat this place. Bottom Line: I'll be back for the Korean food at this place!

Both were excellent and packed with flavor. The real test for me was the drive home. I live about 40 minutes away, so I didn't get to eat my sandwich right away. To my surprise, it was still warm when I got home and just as good as if I had eaten it there. That's not something you can say about most sandwiches. The fries were a pleasant surprise as well. Crispy, flavorful, and addicting enough that they barely survived the ride home. Beyond the food, I really enjoyed the shop itself. There was a great selection of specialty meats, seasonings, sauces, and unique items that made me want to take my time and look around. The place was packed, which is usually a good sign, and after trying the food, I completely understand why. It's not often that a first visit lives up to the hype, but this one did. Great food, a well-curated shop, and absolutely worth the drive. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

My group of 5 enjoyed a variety of their drinks and dishes, sharing 3 appetizers, enjoying 5 entrees, and indulging in two of their desserts. I started off with an alcoholic Mai Thai. Food wise, I had their grilled oysters, brussel Cesar, fried chicken curry dish, trifle dessert, and sorbet. As a non-seafood person, it was a big deal for me to try their oysters. I started slow with just their grilled oysters. They were drowning in garlic and butter, so it was hard not to like. The Brussel cesar was also a solid shareable. I appreciated that the salad did not come drenched in dressing. The curry friend chicken was phenomenal! The chicken fell of the bone so easily and was so crispy, moist, and overall outstanding. The curry and impossible rice paired perfectly with it. Finally, the desserts! I could have eaten two of the trifle dessert...it was smooth, creamy, and the perfect amount of sweet. It was everyone's favorite between the two. The sorbet was good, but I found the white chocolate a little weird/awkward since it was sitting around a bunch of cold sorbet...didn't melt or mesh well with the dish. It wasn't bad, but I'd try something else next time. Overall, I loved this place. The vibes, staff, and food were amazing. I can't wait to introduce more friends to this gem.

For starters, we got the New England Clam Chowder and an order of Chickpea Fries. New England Clam Chowder - definitely a chowder and not a soup (heavy cream base) with a nice flavor and a healthy amount of clam bits. Chickpea Fries - A nice portion of well prepared fries. Nice crunch on the outside, but moist on the inside. Well seasoned and not oily. Comes with ketchup and an avocado lime ranch, which was ok. It's a huge portion and we took most of it home to enjoy later. Good use of chickpeas. Branzino - This is a whole fish split in half. Pretty easy to remove the bones oneself. The skin was nice and crunchy with the meat inside moist. Well prepared. I'm not a huge fan of dill and I think the seasoning of dill is a bit overdone here. (I'm pretty sure it's dill. Whatever it is, it's too heavy for me and detracts from the meal.). The wild rice side dish is very good. Lobster Roll - Excellent. My partner ordered this and the only comment was that the large was very big and next time they likely would get the small one. Lots of delicious, cold lobster meat. The fries also were excellent. The service overall was very good. Our food was served at an appropriate rate (apps, then main, which seems not to be important at a lot of restaurants these days) and the water service was excellent. Recommend this restaurant. I probably would not get the Branzino again because of the heavy dill seasoning, but there are other items in the menu that look interesting.

It's just one more example of the friendly neighborhood atmosphere that keeps people coming back.

Since it was my first time at PLNT, I ordered something traditional - the PLNT Cheeseburger (plant-based patty, caramelized onion, pickles, plant-based American cheese, green leaf lettuce, roma tomato, PLNT sauce, and potato bun). As a very failed former vegan (10 years as a vegetarian and vegan in my late teens to twenties), I was most worried about the vegan cheese (I remember having some pretty awful vegan cheeses in those days). The cheese was fine actually. The burger itself is okay; it kind of tastes like TVP (textured vegetable protein), a little dry, not too flavorful. But my real issue with the burger was its assembly - it was so covered in sauce and gooey cheese that the bun was sliding off before I even tried to pick it up. It was one of the messiest things I've ever tried to eat. And that's what I'll remember about my first PLNT Burger experience - not the flavor, but definitely the messiness of it.
