The light does wonders for the eyes and the aesthetic is very homey. Everything we had was satisfying. I was a tad nervous trying the Monte cristo because sometimes all you can taste is the grease from the fryer but with this one, it was still light and airy. I met a relative here because it is the halfway point from where they live. I've been to other locations before and had a great experience. This one was crowded but we got right in. Food was excellent and came out pretty fast considering it was busy. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars? Will because I like to indulge in my cocktails and there is a two maximum limit on certain specialty drinks on the menu. How is that fair if you were not driving? While I was driving, so I guess it's better but I think that is still up to the customer to judge. Our server was excellent and very attentive. Wanted a quick bite to share with my husband for lunch. Our server was outstanding and the epitome of excellent customer service. We had a split entree of chicken tenders and grilled shrimp combo with sides of a salad and beans & rice. Everything was really delicious and fresh...served hot or cold as appropriate. Very popular restaurant in Melbourne! Almosr everything made from scratch...claim to fame! We went on a Thursday night around 8pm and had people waiting all over. We chose to sit at a high top in bar so we did not wait. Service is a bit slow and paying at the end took effort but food was good. There is nothing fancy just country fried chic or beef, ( friend said country fried chic best she ever had), salads were huges, ribs very tender, onion rings sone of the best I've ever had! Total fan of this restaurant! I came here for the first time with my family, and I must say that I was very surprised of the quality of food and service. We went in on a Saturday night at 5:00pm so it was certainly packed beyond words. At first I was bothered of having to wait 45 mins for a table, since I thought this would just be another "Chilli's or Applebees" However, we decided to give it a shot and went to the bar for a drink while we waited, but to our surprise, there were tables in the bar area we were able to use without having to wait for a booth. As I was looking at the menu, I couldn't believe none of the drinks were even close to $10 considering they were huge and looked delicious. I went ahead and ordered the Texas Strawberry Lemonade, which was part sangria and part Margarita, and it was a total winner! My mother-in-law ordered the Cheedar's Painkiller, which tasted a lot like a Pina Colada but it had toasted coconut and honey on the rim of the cup... talk about super yumms!! We ordered their Ultimate nachos as an appetizer, and while they were regular nachos with cheese, beef and the usual toppings, they were AMAZING! The nacho chips tasted like they were homemade, and the beef had a phenomenal flavor. For my main dish, I was torn between the Half Rack of BBQ Ribs and Shrimp and the Key West Chicken and Shrimp. I ended up getting the latter one, and I def made the best decision! When my dish arrived to the table, my mouth completely watered from the looks and smells emanating from the plate. This dish consisted of a perfectly grilled and juicy chicken breast and shrimp with a sweet pineapple pico de gallo on top, all which sat on a bed of rice. Now, to top it all off, my dish came with 2 sides and I got the Broccoli Casserole as a recommendation from my waitress. This is by far the BEST broccoli dish I've had in my life. Now, it wasn't the healthiest one, but it consisted of chunks of broccoli, melted cheddar cheese, rice and bread crumbs.. HELLO!!! happiness in my belly :) While everything was almost perfect, my husband never got the bread that came with his dish, which we told our waitress a couple of times. I know the restaurant was busy, but I will be honest and say that it aggravated me a little bit that my husband didn't get his full meal. However, was soon as we told our waitress that the bread never arrived and my husband was done with his food, she sent the manager over to apologize and offer us some free dessert. This is the second time my friend and I have been here and we were hopeful that it would be better than the last but it may have been even worse. The waitress was extremely slow at brining out our food, the food was ice cold by the time we got it and plates and drinks were literally thrown down onto the table. The food here is not great at all. I had the 8 Oz steak with broccoli and a baked potato. It was low quality meat and it wasn't seasoned or grilled well. They didn't have the baked potatoes ready with the meals and ended coming out when we were almost done. My friend had the lasagna (i didn't try it) but it was made with spaghetti inside and did not look appetizing at all. To drink, I had the frozen strawberry margarita which was good and cheap. Overall the food looks better than it tastes. I personally wouldn't select to come back here. P.S. this has nothing to do with my rating but their lamps are really low and in really bad positions(right above chairs)... Will never understand the glowing endorsements after a critical review my wife and I decided to give it another try. The restaurant is filthy and this from a family of restaurateurs looks good on the surface but the floor is littered and table abhorrent seems to practice get them in and out. Our appetizers were actually pretty decent hot and crisp as we would expect. Service is above average the serving staff to be applauded. Our burger were gosh awful under cooked bleeding when we ordered medium. Fries were soggy seemed they were prepared the previous day. There was also a peculiar taste not sure if it was a storage issue but it wasn't potato I would worry about cross contamination. I have never been to Cheddars before so we chose to eat there this evening. I have to say, I was impressed. The service was great and we liked our food. I had a Mango Mojito and it was awesome. My fiancée had that and The Painkiller. The Painkiller was very coconutty and HUGE. We had the sampler appetizer with potato skins, cheese bites, and chicken fingers. It was a lot. Then, for our main course, I had the baby back ribs with black beans and green beans while my fiancé had a burger. The ribs were so tender that I couldn't eat them off the bone. I had to use a fork. The black beans were wonderful. The green beans were good. We wanted to try a dessert but the food we ordered was so much we were way to full. I'll definitely go back another time. read more

I had the Buffalo Chicken wrap half sandwich lunch combo. Came with two pairings. If you havent had their croissants, you must DEFINITELY try them! My pairings were the loaded potato soup and house salad. Not only is the food great, but the whole experience left me not only satisfied but stuffed as well. After alerting our server, we were brought out more chicken and one piece of sausage lol also, the toast was forgotten about completely!
