The food at cheddars is amazing. We love coming here. We have always had excellent service. But today was the worst we have ever had. We walked in at 2:45, was at our table within a minute. There were about 7-10 other small tables (2-4 people), i went to the bathroom and counted the tables because we waited for our waitress for over 15 minutes to get drinks. Our waitress Shalie P finally came and got our drinks. While we waited for our drinks, another couple was seated and got their drinks and by the time we got our drinks they were getting their food. It took almost as long to get our food, and half of our food was cold. My husband ate over half his meal without a drink bc shalie never came to check on us or came near us until we were done eating and was ready for the check. A favorite when I'm in Tulsa, this Cheddar's is one of my favorites of the entire chain. The staff is friendly, food is tasty and atmosphere is lively. Very reasonably-priced, the menu favorites are spinach dip as an appetizer and the Monte Cristo sandwich for the entrée. Our waitress had a charming nonchalance and took each of our drink and entrée orders by memory (we had a party of five). The spinach dip is fantastically creamy, topped with melted cheese and sour cream. The tortilla chip that accompanied were extremely greasy and were much too few for the actual appetizer. We had to ask for a refill of chips to finish off the dip. The Monte Cristo, while high in caloric value, is a delightful treat that pairs well with an "I'm starting tomorrow" diet plan. My only complaint is the horrid condition of the restrooms. We were having an early lunch (appx. 11:30a) but the men's restroom was disgusting. The small, cramped area was layered in fluids. What an awesome place to eat. Its good food and good service. They have great steak, fries and chicken and the cheese bites are awesome. I love cheddars we don't get to go often but when we do we never leave hungry and all for allot less then other places like applebees, chilis ext. You will have a wait if you go at prime times but it is worth it because they always have good good and great prices. Once i talked to the manager of the store and asked how they are always so busy when others are not. He said cheddars goal is they always evaluate how they can keep costs low and food quality and portions high. They look at everything from making sure they have little waste to electric bills to all other costs. He said we do this all the time and we work hard to make sure if there is waste somewhere or something that can save money so that our quality, price and portions can stay the same we will do it. Then he said sometimes we do have to raise costs and if we do we do it with as little raise as possible. He said all other restaurants are always looking at the dollar not the customer. that most others are always looking to cut costs and raise prices to make more money. That is very true as over the years of eating at other major chains such as outback, Applebees, and others i have seen prices go up and portions or quality go down. I usually have amazing service at cheddars but this location makes me never want to go back. Their service was absolutely terrible! First it took 10 minutes to even get a drink, our waiter just didn't care. When we finally ordered, our food came out by different people. Our waiter never checked on us or even looked at us when he was helping other tables. When we finally got him to come over cuz we needed more honey mustard, ten minutes passed and he never brought it when he brought stuff to tables near us instead. I eventually had to break down and ask a manager to get us the honey mustard. The waiter never apologized or anything. Never asked if we wanted a refill even. He was absolutely terrible. When we left the restaurant the manager gave us a dirty look and the hosts didn't even say have a good night. It was very unprofessional and a terrible experience. If I go to cheddars again, it will never be this location. read more

My wife and I had dinner tonight at Cheddars Tulsa. This was our first time at a Cheddars. We are from the Northwest. Overall it was a very delightful meal. Great flavor and very tasty. We arrived at 6pm on a Sunday night and had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. Obviously this is a very popular place. We were greeted by a wonderful waiter and served drinks and an appetizer promptly. Then came the wait for the main course. I ordered chicken pot pie and my wife had the bourbon glazed pork chop. We waited 50 minutes for our food to arrive. Understandable as the restaurant was completely full and about 60 people waiting for a table. Our server was very apologetic about the wait but it was out of his control. The kitchen was slammed. I have to admit that even though the wait was long, the food made up for it. It was by far the best chick n pot pie I have ever tasted. Made fresh from scratch just like advertised. Perfect portion for me too. Golden crust with a creamy sauce inside. Huge pieces of moist chicken tenderloin with peas and carrots. So damn good that I licked the bowl clean. (With my finger) I had the Cesar salad too. It had way too much dressing and I was unable to eat it. However, it came with a croissant and it was warm and freshly baked. This croissant was the best part of the meal. It literally melted in my mouth. I would have bought a dozen of them if they sold them that way! The one thing I did not enjoy was the air conditioning blowing on me. Myself along with several other people at other tables wore our coats because of this. Freezing temperature outside yet the AC was on full blast. Again, the great food really is the reason for the 4 stars. We will look forward to Cheddar's next time we are in town. read more

My family came in tonight for an early Mother's Day celebration in hopes of avoiding a long line and long wait for our food. We got one out of two. No wait, but it took an hour and a half to get our food after we ordered. Several tables were seated in our section well after us and ordered well after us all receiving their food before us in a timely manner. At this point I'm just thinking well, at least the food will be good. Wrong. 90% of our dinners were cold. Our waitress did a great job with her service and constantly checking on us and our order, but with no real explanation from the kitchen with the huge delay. The manager was courteous, but offered no real explanation or any type of discount. Usually the service is good, but now when I'm trying to order Togo a girl answers with the biggest attitude, I was trying to order two burgers had a couple questions about the menu, answers with attitude, I'm still being nice bc I'm 22 I know what it's like to not really love your job and want to go home. Let me start off by saying I have only ever sent food back one other time in my life. I was a server in college and I appreciate the struggle. Last night, I had to send back my half rack of ribs. I had my girlfriend taste them as well and she agreed the meat was way too tough. I'm giving this restaurant three stars because of the server. Our server was friendly, fast and he brought me a new dish. He could have made the situation worse because it was toward the end of his shift, but he didn't. Cheddar's is a good restaurant to go to if you want well priced food. They really excelled at making the place feel like the Arctic when eating. My waitress also had a small beard growing in and I was worried that one of the small hairs was going to fall in my food. They also make sure and have at least three screaming babies at all times. Their corner booths are extremely awkward to sit in because of the way the table is cut in proportion to the curvature of the booth. However, they did recently add Mac and Cheese to their sides menu and it is delicious. Lastly, their parking lot is big enough for about 25 cars and usually about 15 of those spots are taking up by the workers. 10/10 on air conditioner blowing hard 10/10 on waitresses with facial hair 1/10 for corner booth alignments 10/10 for babies screaming 2/10 for parking 5/10 for overall service read more

The prices are so cheap I can't complain, but after eating here over half a dozen times the past 2 years, the food can be really underwhelming. (-) The seating. My sweetheart and I went to Cheddars around 10 pm one night and were pleasantly surprised how much we really liked the place. Open late on weekends and very nicely designed with stone, wood and upscale touches. The menu was quite extensive and varied and the prices very reasonable for Tulsa. We had some kinda drink concoction,multicolored frozen thingy that had a cactus shooter...excellent. Maui Margarita, I think. I had ribs and shrimp with string beans and cheese casserole. Ribs were a tad bit burnt but with their delicious sauce, I gobbled 'em up anyway! Shrimp were perfectly breaded,very tasty and cooked just right. I love ole fashioned southern string beans that have been cooked to death on the stovetop and I got them just like my aunt Bessy used to make, God rest her soul. Cheese casserole very good too. The Danish had a New Orleans pasta that I swear was just as good if not better that the Louisiana pasta at twice the price down the road at Cheesecake Factory. Shrimp cooked a delicious cajun spice cream sauce that was so large we took home half of it for another side dish. Anyway, this is a small chain but I gotta say a darn good one and we will definitely be back! 4/30/2011 Return visit not so entralled. For appitizer, we got some kinda loaded potato wedge thingys, were covered with cheese and bacon, you dip in sour cream or dressing.GOOD. The Texas Tea was fne but prefer the Maui Mango Margarita much better. This time I had the pasta and although tasty, seemed too heavy and rich,shrimp were not cooked enough either. Should have gotten the excellent looking Fried Catfish, next time. Dane had the spagetti lazagna that he said was just average. This may not be entirely fair because I didn't eat inside at cheddars. I ate my husband's take out because my fridge was empty. It was some sort of fried sandwich; it really wasn't good. I just dumped out my kid's leftover macaroni which looked disgusting. That doesn't look like what I would consider normal macaroni. No wonder the kids did not eat that. It's safe to say based on this take out I would visit most other places before I would eat at Cheddars.
