For my starter I ordered "Our Nice Little Salad" this beauty was crisp, fresh, and had tomatoes that popped in your mouth and bursted with flavor. The in-house croutons had that perfect buttery crunch, spiced pecans added a unique boldness and the homemade ranch was thick and creamy. I will say I had to ask three times for ranch. I just kept waiting. For our main courses we had the bone-in pork chop. Thick, juicy, and properly rested paired with red mashed potatoes.... Which were very good. The seasonal corn - was gone so quick! It was just so delicious. Ate that right up!! The shrimp scampi leaned heavily into garlic and butter in the best possible way. Shrimp were big, tender and juicy. Unfortunately my rotisserie chicken.... was very dry. I kept choking because of that. I was unable to eat it, that was disappointing. As far as atmosphere... very warm lighting, intimate feels, candle lit, steady energy, attentive staff. The dining room hums with laughter and happy customers... but without overtaking the conversation at our table. The volume was comfortable considering it was a full house.

I'm a keto dieter, and I will say that there are several tasty options to choose from. I will often get a burger with no bun, which is what I was craving today. This one went beyond my expectations! It was a hand-formed 8oz patty, and the chef was able to make it a perfect medium rare. It was delectably juicy, seasoned just right, and the cheese, peppers, onions and tomatoes topped it off perfectly. My salad had nice big slices of Parmesan cheese on top, and the lettuce was fresh and crisp, the dressing just right. Removing croutons is never a problem, but I appreciated that they happily left them off when they prepared the salad. If you're looking for keto options, you'll find many good choices here!

When I advised that I had called and she placed me on hold but never came back. I told her that I was on hold long enough to brush my teeth and get dressed. She rolled her eyes. Never apologizing. While waiting on my food, a gentleman came up complaining about his service. She IMMEDIATELY apologized and adjusted his bill, then laughed and talked with him. I've been here before and had a wonderful conversation with the manager and hostess that was on duty. This time, was a bad experience. My order was two Ceaser salads with blackened shrimp. The food took FOREVER!!!! The customer service was DEFINITELY lacking! Whitney if you hate your job or certain folks, maybe do something else because life is WAY too short. Next time I'm here, I'll DoorDash if she's on duty. I will not go where I do NOT feel welcomed.

Also had the Deviled Egg Trifecta - served three ways - bacon, jalapeño and traditional. Also a hit. My main dish was a bowl of Tomato Bisque. Another "highly recommend." A generous serving of Crispy Brussels Sprouts rounded out my meal. I took home most of the Brussels and happily had them the next day. The server was very personable and attentive - in a good way. We instantly bonded with him. I look forward to more afternoons and nights at The Tavern in Tulsa's Arts District. The comfortable environment in a warm traditional tavern setting with lots of natural light. I wish I had taken a pic of the pigs on the front door. IYKYK - I love pigs. Service was spot on throughout the entire night. We started with the deviled eggs, half plain and half Chef's Choice. The Chef's Choice were the best, drizzled with chili crisp (or pickled Szechuan peppercorns) and topped with a tiny gherkin and fresh dill. The soup of the day was a cabbage and radish soup. It was interesting and very homey but I wish I had ordered the salad. I had the Novarro Farm sweet Potato Gnocchi (kale and pecan pesto, Birch Bottom Farm Georgia candy roaster, fresh chevre). I was a little hesitant about the kale pesto but should NOT have been. This dish was delicious--great garlic flavor. Would order again. The burger looked amazing and while The Hubs said it was good, he also said it needed some more spice. They had a couple of rotating beers from Heirloom--a Mexican Lager and an Italian Pilsner. I had the Water Lily cocktail, their take on an Aviation. Order it just because it's beautiful (and refreshing). The photo does not depict the deep color of it. I asked what other gin based cocktails they had on their menu. They didn't but the server/bartender offered to make me a Bee's Knees for the second round. It was delicious! The atmosphere here is casual but the food is elevated. I kept thinking this is what a French bistro would be like inside. I want to come back and shop the market. Oh, and the apple pie was excellent as well!

I ordered apricot iced tea, the vegan fried chicken sandwich, and pineapple upside-down cake. I don't normally like chicken sandwiches that much, but this was really good. And the highlight was getting to choose any of the salads on the menu as the side salad that comes with it. I had the hearts of palm salad with vegan cheese instead of the usual parmesan. It was delicious! I also got to try the cauliflower wings and a bite of the Korean BBQ tofu sandwich. I liked that sandwich too, but not as much. I do like the way they fried the tofu, but it seemed different than what was described on the menu. It seemed just deep fried, but not battered. My only complaint is the layout of the building and the lack of directional signage. I didn't park in the parking lot, so I didn't know to enter from the back and I ended up on a long confusing walk both outside and inside the building before I finally reached the dining room.

Located downtown, parking appears to be mostly street parking--I didn't notice a dedicated lot nearby. Inside, the restaurant is long and narrow with bar seating, hanging plants, and an open wood-fire grill that immediately sets the vibe. We sat in the back room, which is darker and not quite as charming as the main dining area. It was also verrrry warm. When we mentioned it, our waiter's sarcastic comment about it being hot outside caught us a little off guard, but thankfully it did seem to cool down afterward. Now THE FOOD. The fire-roasted carrots with whipped tahini were unreal. Tender without being mushy, smoky, and absolutely packed with flavor. I ate most of the plate and regret nothing. The empanadas were buttery, soft and flaky with a chimichurri sauce I would've happily put on everything. My Campfire Atlantic Salmon was the star--perfectly cooked with this incredible smoky, citrusy flavor that carried through the whole plate. Even the kale had me excited, which feels like an accomplishment. The artichoke au gratin was creamy, loaded with artichokes, and had a great crunchy texture on top. Portions are generous enough that my dinner became lunch the next day. Our table also tried the filet, pasta, and another salmon. Everyone was happy. I sampled the crab-and-corn pasta--it was good, just not personally my thing. The filet was tender with a glaze my friend loved, although I'd probably order mine without it. We finished with the strawberry rhubarb cobbler + vanilla ice cream--tangy, sweet, warm, cold, crunchy, creamy...basically I didn't want to share. Service overall was attentive without hovering, plates disappeared quickly, and everyone's drinks were beautiful and well received. Bathrooms were clean and well-kept, too. Six years of walking past this place was enough. Those carrots and that salmon have officially brought me to my senses. I'll be back.

Out of this world sauces that not only complimented the dishes, but freaking saved them! I ordered the sea bass and although it was cooked well, the flavoring was mid at best. I don't think vegetables is a lost cause, just more so an opportunity for improvement. His steak was delightful. Ambience: Such a fun environment! We did chefs counter and it reminded us of being back home in the city. Final thoughts. Would come back but would lean into dishes with sauces because a sauce god is employed here.

The picture in Yelp shows more accoutrements. Mine was sparse on the arugula and tomato. Initial impressions were it is so loud in here I wouldn't be able to have a conversation with anybody and I was glad I was solo It'd be very difficult place to bring a date and want a meaningful conversation without raising your voice Still a 5 star experience based on the magnificent cook The chefs design of a delicate king salmon plate with mild yet complicated drizzle and asparagus was eye watering. We weren't greeted by any hostess. The bar was full but the bartender said he had a little alcove for us (perfect for four) that was open--we just had to order drinks at the bar. So, our two guys stood and stood and stood. They finally split up and stood at separate ends of the bar to see who could get waited on first. One waitress, who I know was doing restaurant table service, was just standing there showing pics on her phone to a customer. We finally got our drinks but they forgot one. We then had someone check in on us finally!! Oh, and they were out of all of the craft draft beer--including their signature one. We ended up doing one more round. In fact, at one point, we were just going to go to the rooftop. Sadly, this made us not even want to come back to try the food. People in the know said that they were super short handed and needed a lot more help. The interior is great and I love the decor though. They put a lot of work into this space.
