Not only did I not receive what I paid for, but when I called the restaurant, the response was dismissive at best. The first person I spoke with told me I had to wait for the manager. When the manager got on the line, she explained they "had no lids for the cheese sauce" and had to send someone out to get more. My immediate thought was: if there are no lids, how did ranch sauce get packaged just fine? Her explanation was that they "substituted an extra ranch for the cheese." With all due respect, ranch is not an acceptable substitute for cheese, and customers should be given a choice in that situation. What made it worse was her tone rather than apologizing and offering to make it right, she spoke harshly, said "it was not our intention not to give you your cheese sauce," then abruptly told me to "have a nice day" before hanging up. I normally wouldn't make an issue over a side item, but this has become a pattern in fast food: customers are charged for extras, not given what they paid for, and expected to just accept the loss. It's frustrating, and it's not about the cost, it's about the principle. If businesses expect customers to keep coming back, they need to respect the fact that people work hard for their money and deserve to receive exactly what they've paid for.

amazing food and great service…read more I highly recommend the black velvet sauce on literally anything

You can choose breaded or unbreaded (naked) meats and pick from several seasoning options. Everything I ordered was seasoned well and had that homemade quality. I ordered the Big Family Meal, which comes with your choice of four meats, two full sides, and two drinks. It's a lot of food for the price. For the meats I selected, naked chicken bites with barbecue seasoning, naked steak bites with black velvet sauce, naked pork bites with garlic Parmesan seasoning, sliced hot links with Cajun rub. All four were flavorful and cooked well. The Garlic Parmesan pork bites were put into the same container as the steak bites with black velvet sauce , so it all combined together. The flavors do meld together nicely, so not a deal. For sides, I went with the 1/2 loaded potato salad and 1/2 mashed potatoes w/ side of gravy and macaroni and cheese. These were solid choices. The mashed potatoes on their own were decent, but adding the white gravy takes them up a notch. I also ordered the chili with cheese. It had plenty of ground beef and great seasoning. It didn't have beans, which I personally prefer, so I add a can at home and heat it through. The portion was generous, and although it was a touch salty for my taste, it was still a really good chili. The mac & cheese deserves a shout out, some of the best I've had from a restaurant. Very flavorful, lots of seasoning, and even bacon bits. The noodles were slightly overcooked in my batch, but the taste was excellent. For Dessert, I tried the mini cheesecake bite with raspberry sauce. The crust was a bit too crunchy for me, but the raspberry sauce had a nice tartness, and the cheesecake filling was creamy. The only item I didn't love was the sliced sausage. It was sliced lengthwise instead of in rounds, and the texture was a little rubbery. I prefer round slices, but the flavor was still good. Overall, Pisonero's offers great service, customizable options, and plenty of homemade flavor.
