Super bummed. Not every visit is going to be a 5 star visit, but tonight was really disappointing for a restaurant that is use to heavy volume. The hostess took my number do wrong after speaking to two other hostesses two different times, and when I finally called them after twenty minutes they told us we would be sat immediately. We went inside and waited only a few minutes but were placed in a far, dark, cold corner where no one spoke to us, greeted us, or possibly even knew we were there. We tried to speak out to a server walking by and finally got the attention of a busser to notify someone. After five more minutes, we left. Not mad, just bummed and now after an hour, very hungry. Usually when myself and my family go we have an amazing waiter / experience. Unfortunately, on Dec.15 at around 4/5 pm, for my birthday I had asked if my other family (visiting from the springs) wanted to try it since it would be their very first time. HORRIBLE! Our waitress forgot most of our food items, it took nearly 1.5 hours just to get our food. We didn't order appetizers just drinks (water, soda, lemonades and a beer/shot) and food. I've been there at their busiest of times more than once and they always had our appetizers and food items completed correctly and in a timely matter. All staff we encountered were super friendly and accommodating. Aryan was great and attentive. The food quality was great. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I got the bourbon glazed salmon and my husband got the sirloin. They were both well prepared and his was cooked the right temp and nice and tender and full of flavor. I've always loved Cheddar's because they focus on quality and the prices are reasonable and grew up eating there in GA. The last 3 times we've been there, they have attempted to sit me AND MY FAMILY in the bar when there were clearly other tables open in the dining room. They are very understaffed, at least their front staff is. We ordered salads before our food. After 20 minutes or so, our entrees arrived, no salads. We were informed they had been in the cooler (for who knows how long) and they would be right out. We told he server we no longer wanted them, and she acted like it was such a hassle. She then returns and acts like she did us some huge favor by having the manager take them off our bill. Wow, thanks. Then it took an eternity to get and pay our check. First let me start with the positive. The food as always hit the spot. Order #1- lunch special half salad and half club sandwich. Wifey order she always likes this combo and it never disappoints. Order#2- My favorite Philly cheese steak and fries. Again a staple when I order always surprisingly delicious. Plenty of steak, Mushrooms and green peppers. The price is always right and plenty of food selections. Now again to my only gripes Service- we showed up for lunch not super busy but the hostess was agitated and frustrated like we were bothering her. Again the hostess starts your visit and has to be excited and greet you when you walk through the door. Then came the waitress who undoubtedly was the worse service I/We have very had at this location she was rushed again not supper busy but easily could have engaged in conversation and followed up on drinks being empty. She literally took our order brought out our waters and disappeared until the bill was due. I'm still a sucker for Cheddar's, especially if it involves dinner with friends, onion rings and the painkiller! Saturday night in Thornton started with bowling and ended with a belly full of great food and drinks. The tower of onion rings is ridiculously large but plenty to share with a table of 4. The onions are thinly sliced, lightly battered and fried and served with ranch, ketchup and a smoky onion ring sauce. Next is The Painkiller. It's a rum and coconut drink in a cold honey and coconut rimmed glass. Limit 2 per person!!! They're so delicious, go down smoothly and relaxes you to your toes. Last was the meal. I ordered the chicken tender platter with 2 sides. There were 5 tenders, honey mustard and I got the mashed potatoes and gravy and the broccoli cheese casserole. Holy smokes, was that a rich and heavy meal. Luckily, I took half home and will eat those tomorrow for lunch. If you're looking for a good meal, nice service, clean establishment and a good time with friends, I'd highly recommend this location. Not bad at all. Been here once before, had the chicken pot pie and it was really good. This time I had New Orleans pasta and my wife had soup and sandwich. Chicken tortilla soup and a Monte Christo. She thought it was pretty good but too much food. The New Orleans pasta was pretty good but surprisingly spicy, and I love spicy so that was a plus. It was also more than I could eat. Waited 1/2 hour for my food and when it came out, it was just warm and appeared to be thrown on the plate. When the manager came over, his words were "I only have your word that you waited for 1/2 hr. When I told him I found this to be rude and that it came across that he was accusing me of lying, he argued with me that what he said was not rude and that he had been doing this for 40 years and that I didn't know what I was talking about. I walked out. I then called the manager a few days later, and what she said to me was, IF he did say that, that she was sorry that I felt that way and it was my perception of what he said to me that was the problem. I REALLY want to give this place a great review - but I simply can't anymore. And this is a shout out to BRANDON the "Manager" ... so let's start from the beginning. The food overall is REALLY good. Which is a shame, because they can't GET THE ORDER RIGHT. The first couple times - great food, and correct. The last 3 times requesting this I get home to EVERYTHING on the burger. So I call tonight 10/31 a bit upset and ask to talk to the manager. The first time was Noel, and he was GREAT. A truly GREAT manager, very apologetic and understanding. The last two times, Brandon has been the manager. This time, (third time) he had a bit of attitude in the call, and at the end when I asked to have it remade he said sure, and we verified it would be plain, with bacon. I conclude the call with saying "thank you" and all I hear is a SLAM on the end of the line. Don't get mad at ME because your employees can't follow a basic food order, time and time again. You should be apologetic and making sure that the issue is handled, which it clearly hasn't been. So as of today, this will be the last time I order here. We ordered delivery from here late last night since there weren't a lot of food options open around 10 pm. The food was ok. We both ordered the steak and shrimp combo and I ordered mashed potatoes and broccoli as my two sides. The broccoli and shrimp were great. The steak and mashed potatoes were just ok. I'm wondering if the food would have tasted better if we went in to eat instead of getting our food delivered since steak doesn't travel well and our delivery driver had one stop before us (not blaming her, it's not her fault that ubereats grouped our order with someone else's). 5 stars review. Why you ask? Make sure you ask for Kelly as your server. She was quite frankly the best server I have had in 10 plus years. We eat out many nights a week and it doesn't get any better then the service she provided. The food was great and the restaurant was packed. The only thing that needed attention where the restrooms. Both stalls where being used by employees and neither one had toilet paper in them. I was in hopes to see one of the grab a roll and take it to the restroom or inform someone but they evidently just went back to work. its the small details that change a restaurant from a good restaurant to an outstanding one. read more

When I had a chance to eat at the 4th closest Cheddar's to where I am located at, I knew that I had to pay them a visit. Cheddar's is a chain restaurant with no locations in California. This Cheddar's is located on the outskirts of Denver in a nice area with lots of other restaurants and retail establishments. I ordered their Sirloin Steak. My wife ordered their Salmon, and the child ordered the Mac n Cheese. My steak was cooked perfectly rare as I requested. They also had some kind of seasoning on it, where steak sauce was not necessary. The salmon according to my wife, was okay. She thought it was a little dry compared to the salmon that she had the night before. It would've been good if she didn't order salmon 2 nights in a row. The daughter's Mac n Cheese was perfect like the way she likes it. We also had chicken strips as appetizers from signing up on their e-club. The chicken strips were a pretty good freebie. Service was good. Our waitress did a good job. She checked up on us several times during our meal. Prices were about as we remembered for Cheddars....It was reasonably priced. Giving this one a 4 star because are service was great but could improve, our server was Marcos and I think he is new. when we got seated him came and was patient in taking our order as we were a group of 7 and we where giving our other family members directions on how to arrive. He was attentive but since we where outside I would have loved if he was more attentive on our drinks. My food was delicious i got the sweet and hot chicken and shrimp with sweet potato fries and loaded baked potato. I would come back to try other items on the menu but I definitely came for there buttery croissants they where delicious in my opinion! This restaurant is handicap friendly but the seating outside was not to friendly for handicap as the tables where close and they had a fire place in the middle so I would recommend sitting inside for handicap. Definitely give this restaurant a try if your looking for budge my friendly food with great portions. This is Kid friendly and great options for kids food vegetarian food is Limited but you can ask for no chicken on your food, it was definitely a relaxed place inside was warm and welcoming and outside was very relaxed with umbrellas available for more shade. We tried the Cheddar's in Colorado Springs last year. We were in the Denver area and our kids have talked about the last time we went to Cheddar's and how much they loved it. So, we used call ahead seating on a Saturday night, we only ended up waiting about 10 minutes. We got onion rings and the spinach dip for appetizers. They were both very good. I liked that the onion rigs were only lightly breaded. The chicken tenders and Mac and Cheese were pretty great too. Our server, Herman was outstanding! He knows the menu inside and out. He had lots of ideas for us, as we couldn't decide...we were so hungry and wanted one of everything. We left so incredibly full and with tons of leftovers. We love this place. read more
