Giving this one a 4 star because are service was great but could improve, our server was Marcos and I think he is new. when we got seated him came and was patient in taking our order as we were a group of 7 and we where giving our other family members directions on how to arrive. He was attentive but since we where outside I would have loved if he was more attentive on our drinks. My food was delicious i got the sweet and hot chicken and shrimp with sweet potato fries and loaded baked potato. I would come back to try other items on the menu but I definitely came for there buttery croissants they where delicious in my opinion! This restaurant is handicap friendly but the seating outside was not to friendly for handicap as the tables where close and they had a fire place in the middle so I would recommend sitting inside for handicap. Definitely give this restaurant a try if your looking for budge my friendly food with great portions. This is Kid friendly and great options for kids food vegetarian food is Limited but you can ask for no chicken on your food, it was definitely a relaxed place inside was warm and welcoming and outside was very relaxed with umbrellas available for more shade. I have been here many times and I love this place! The food is almost always amazing and if it isn't they fix it the best they can! The only issue I have is that they don't season their greenbeans. They need to throw some flavor on them things cause they are way to bland when accompanied with a great main course. I had a margarita and it was amazing. They ran out of shakers, but it was still amazing! If the corporate heads would take some advice the seasoning "smoke house maple" has a great profile that would mesh well with their southern style green beans and would fit well in this restaurant menu. Waited 1/2 hour for my food and when it came out, it was just warm and appeared to be thrown on the plate. When the manager came over, his words were "I only have your word that you waited for 1/2 hr. When I told him I found this to be rude and that it came across that he was accusing me of lying, he argued with me that what he said was not rude and that he had been doing this for 40 years and that I didn't know what I was talking about. I walked out. I then called the manager a few days later, and what she said to me was, IF he did say that, that she was sorry that I felt that way and it was my perception of what he said to me that was the problem. I had a cheeseburger with steamed vegetables and my son ordered the steak and a half rack of ribs. My cheeseburger was very good although the vegetables were over steamed to the point of being mushy. My son said that his steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. He also said the ribs were very good and he especially like the BBQ sauce they were smothered with. Our waitress was very good and she knew the menu very well for us newbs. The place is nice in an unassuming sort of way but clean and comfortable. I thought if something was a scratch kitchen then the pasta would be made from scratch. Apparently not. Cajun pasta was ok. My boyfriend said his sprite tasted like the soda gun had mold in it. (I've worked in food service for 14 years and yes I've seen places not break down their soda guns to where mold festers in it) All around let down. This review is for the hostess and manager! They were horrible! I called the day before to asked how long the wait would be for a party of 5. I was told on the phone if you call 30 minutes ahead, before arrival to put on the waitlist, it shouldn't be too long and it slows down after 7pm. The next night, I called 30 minutes ahead to be put on the waitlist and was told it would be a 2 hour wait! I was suprised! Once we got there after 7pm, they said its almost a 2 hour wait.. I was confused since I called ahead & was told the same wait time! They were so off, wait time I was given when my party & I showed up was first 1 hour, 45 mins, 40 mins then back to 45 mins and then 30 mins, 25 mins and back to 30 mins... Whats the point calling ahead when you are put on another waitlist? It's very misleading & it seems like they lure people to come without letting them know the actual wait time! The manager, she was very unprofessional and was very rude to my friend. Aside from inaccurate & misleading information from hostess and rude manager, the service was great from our server Luke! He was amazing and was very attentive! Heck, he should be the one taking over the manager's position & teach her how to do her job and not be rude to customers! Overall, the hostess need to learn to be honest with the customers regarding the wait time! Stop sugar coating with lies after lies! Went back a few weeks ago. It was decent. I feel like the flavor has gone away in their food. It used to be so good, but it's just not the same. I hate writing this because it was my go to spot for some homestyle Chicken Fried Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy! But the chicken was over-breaded and it just didn't seem right. Potatoes were good, and the gravy needed salt and pepper. The mixed drink I got was good though. For the price we paid it wasn't worth it. My wife and I were asked here for lunch by friends nd found it an amazing little spot. It is very popular, as the number of cars in the lot at any time, will tell you, and the food is amazing. AS glance at the menu --which should be available at this site, will tell you what a varied and copious menu it is. The message is sort of that this is a down-home place, with good chicken dinners and such, but in fact you can find anything you want here, and it is all good. We enjoyed an hors-d'oeuvre of Onion Rings and I forget what else, and they were the best we've ever had--eating out or at home, frankly. I went conventional, as did my buddy, with hamburgers, and they were quite good, somehow seeming to be formed individually and cooked to perfection. I could go on, but no need. The place is great. Even the drinks were endless, thanks to an alert and caring waitress. To us, originally, the modest, even camp, name, "Cheddars" had put us off a bit, but the reality was different. Tried this place once, and the food wasn't hot, let alone warm (especially the sides). The second time I went, it was the same situation, even though I tried something different. I had the same server both times (her name was Lilli) and unfortunately she was very rude and inattentive, especially the second time around. I overheard her gossiping to her trainee that she had a story to tell and pointed in me and my parties direction. This was very unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. Had lunch today with two other couples. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo. My lunch came to the table with the pasta cold, very little Alfredo sause (not enough to cote the pasta) and the smallest and driest piece of chicken I've seen in a long time (four inches around and less than one half inch flat). The entire dish was only lukewarm. The waitress never came back to check until everyone was pretty much finished eating to ask if we wanted boxes. I didn't want to make my dining companions uncomfortabe by making a scene, but I told her three times my lunch was not eatible. Her response was to ask if I wanted a box. I'll let my friends post their own reveiws but from what I obsered, only two of the four other dishes looked very good, a salid and chicken tenders. I pretty much enjoy all restaurants but this meal was horrible. If I had been alone or with only my significant other, I would definitely have spoken with management. read more

Wow, by the reviews people either love or hate this place. I had been to another cheddar's down near Parker a few years back and remembered it being pretty good and reasonable prices. The restaurant looks brand new and is very nice inside. Well things haven't changed much at cheddar's, which is a good thing! Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. We split the Dijon chicken which comes with 2 chicken breasts, rice, and 2 sides.. For 10.95!! Added a wedge for 2.50 extra and that was our whole meal. We sat in the bar area and received fast and friendly service from the bar tender. I don't know if I would go out of my way to eat at cheddar's since it's not in my neighborhood, but it's a good spot to get a tasty meal if you are in the area. Come hungry! I would give this place more of a 3.5 star rating but since that's not possible and we had a nice dinner that was easy on the pocket book, I'm gonna go with 4 stars read more

I finally got a chance to try this place as I've watched them build it for several months now. But I have to say I was pretty let down. It's a great looking place, neat fans and a cool fish tank. The service was even top notch. But the food, meh. I had the chicken fried steak because the waitress pumped them up as this homemade southern restaurant. It was pretty bland, and so was everything else. I mean think Black Eyed Pea meets Furr's Cafeteria, yeah like that. I did really enjoy their kale salad and their take on the painkiller wasn't bad either, maybe a little too sweet. I also got the impression that there kitchen was a mess because we ordered cheese fries and found lots penne pasta under the cheese. This pretty much says their tossing around food back there and no one is checking for quality. Long story short, I'd probably skip this place and head next door. read more

The service at Cheddars really depends on where you are sitting in my opinion. So I will let you in on my secret... sit at the bar for the best service! Especially when Jennifer and Nathaniel are working! When you sit in the dining room the service is much less attentive and you often have to wait awhile to be seated pretty much anytime whether it's a weekday or weekend. I think the food is good for a quick service restaurant. The drinks from the bar are excellent! And they are really inexpensive. You can get a great margarita (and they're huge) for like $6. I highly recommend the strawberry swirl margarita and the southern sweet tea. It's a great place to stop by for an after dinner drink if you don't dine in. However they close pretty early even on Saturday. read more

This is a really great place to eat! Friend decided to take me here after we had a big important meeting regarding work (stressful stuff). ANYWAY! The staff here were all friendly, its a really modern yet somewhat rustic theme. The menu is also pretty simple so we decided to stick to the basics, our waiter informed us that the portions here are big, he was not joking. We started off with some onion rings, they stacked it about a foot high, it looked good. they were extra crispy, the onions broke apart pretty easily so you don't get that half bite then pull it out of the crispy sleeve thing. the dipping sauces that came with it were a good pairing. I then ordered the jalapeno burger at medium well. Really interesting, they fried the jalapenos and left the onions chopped and fresh, I liked it. Unfortunately, I could not finish the burger since the giant stack of onion rings sort of filled me up. got the beer battered shrimp with fries and mac & cheese. The mac was good and so were the shrimp, you could taste the beer. also only got about half way and called it quits. Overall, really good place to go to, and the food was fantastic. read more

So this was our second time here. We were celebrating my brothers 25th birthday. They did the best they could to accommodate our large party of about 20-30 ppl. A few if our party did have to sit at an additional table but was across from our main table. But let's get to the reason you are reading this. This time I had the baby back ribs and as my wife had I informed me they once again fell off the bone. My wife enjoyed her chicken tenders and rib plate as well as my Son with his ribs and shrimp. My overall opinion is this place is pretty good the wait is still a wait on the weekends but I have yet to find d a reason to say "don't go here" My wife and Son said 5 stars , I say 4 because of the chicken fried steak that I had previously wasn't up to my standards read more
