So we had a late lunch here yesterday. First off the hostess swiftly got us a table. Our waiter was not mean or anything, but he did not seem happy. The feedback when asked a question was minimal and I am very pleasant and polite when speaking to waitresses and waiters. It almost seemed as if he did not want us there. Oh well. The food was good, I had a chicken wrap and fully baked potato and my guest had the chicken fried chicken with fries, and let's not forget the delicious croissant. Both of our entrees and croissant appetizer were really good. The ambiance is off a little, bathroom was messy and the restaurant itself was out dated and had an old restaurant smell. I have to yes to the food! But no to unhappy waiters and dirty restaurants. I more than likely will not return, but try and find another Cheddar's in a different location. 7.8 overall Food 8.1 Service 7.2 Zero complaints this place is a budget friendly chain with good cooked meats, think a more affordable Outback steak house but classier, it's hard to pin down. I think you could get away with a decent date here if you don't want to break the bank. I wish I took more pictures, this place definitely has its own vibe or at least this location does. There's a big fish tank when you walk in that serves as one side of a hallway and the back of the bar. Big slow moving woven palm fans that rotate vertically over the large dining area, we sat in the bar though. Service was good we were in a hurry and the bartender was serving us so it wasn't the best experience to review, but the food was good for the price I got the bacon cheeseburger it was juicy and perfectly medium how I ordered it - unfortunately they didn't let it rest long enough so the bottom bun was soggy. I love burgers there are ways around this. We also had chick tenders and the buffalo chicken wrap all good sauces were tasty. I'll be back for sure they have some deserts I'm interested in Is bathrooms were very nice, with individual stalls

Soggy breading and ALOT of it!

Ordered the chicken fried steak and it had very little meat. The breading was so thick and under cooked I had to spit it out. I went here a few years ago and didn't like it and couldn't remember why so I thought I would try it again. This time I won't forget..

Cheddar's is like a slept in a way, but I love this location. I typically sit in the bar area since it's just myself but sit in the seated area, not actually at the bar itself. First, how good are those hot honey croissants? Those are 5 stars alone? Service here is typically friendly and fast. I tend to always get a side salad to start with ranch which is a standard salad, croutons, cheese (shredded American, tomato, cucumber, onion) with ranch dressing and then for my meal I get the buffalo wrap with fries. The wrap really should be a meal for two as its four wraps. Why they give you that much, I'll never know, but I love the buffalo sauce and I always ask for an extra side of ranch to go with it. Sometimes I wash it down with one of those famous painkillers too. This place is a pretty great place for a chain. I don't knock it at all.

We stopped by here for lunch after flying in. Our server was friendly and on point with the service: We got the complementary butter croissants which was good. I ordered me a cheddars Long Island tea, which wasn't strong in my opinion. I got the lunch special chicken with red beans and rice dish that had pico on top: That meal was pretty good and filling. Overall a good experience at this cheddars location.

The honey butter croissants are delicious and are worth it. I would even opt to have it as a dessert on the first night I ordered the grilled salmon with bourbon glaze on the side and corn off the cob and a baked potato. Everything was delicious the salmon is cooked and seasoned very well that the bourbon glaze was just used as a dipping sauce. I also ordered the lemon pepper chicken. Which came with rice, and I had a side of loaded mashed potatoes, and a broccoli cheddar bake. I was not a big fan of the broccoli cheddar bake only because I don't like broccoli (and I felt like there's too much broccoli......ignore me if you like broccoli then it's good) lemon pepper chicken came with two chicken breasts they were a bit too dry for my liking, but seasoned very well also. I said at the bar both times and my service was amazing there. And it's not too loud or noisy.

It had family style meals on long tables that felt like you joined multiple families at a big feast. We were giant fans of their fried chicken and their hush puppies. Unfortunately, like so many restaurants Po Folks closed their doors forever and our favourite dining place became only a memory. That was until we visited my sister in Saint Petersburg, Florida. While looking for a local restaurant, lo and behold, we found a Po folks! Upon further investigation we found that there are five Po Folks restaurants still in existence and except for the Saint Petersburg location all are in northern Florida. With our expectations off the chart, understanding that memories are often better than the actual events, we visited the Saint Petersburg's Po Folks Restaurant. Although the decor was somewhat different (not as large and the old white and blue chequered design is now red and white), we're happy to report that the food was just as good. The Service: Our server was delightful and happy to hear about our previous experience. She made sure our new experience was just as delightful with our glasses always full and our every request fulfilled in a timely manner. The ambiance.: Po folks is set up to feel like a family dining picnic. Designed to feel like a family dining picnic, it's feel is quite a change from the typical Metro Restaurant experience. The design matches the type of 'cookin' and friendly service to a tee. The food: How we initially found the Saint Petersburg Po Folks came about by a challenge we have faced since our move to Florida and that is finding a well-made whole catfish. In Texas there were many restaurants that offered whole (not filets) catfish to choose from. Not in Florida where we have not found a single restaurant that offers whole catfish. But lo and behold, Po Folks came up when we made our "whole catfish" search. Although not quite as large a catfish as what we are used to in Texas, the catfish was delightfully moist and flaky and easily came off the bone. The fried chicken and fried okra were just as fantastic as we remembered and the hush puppies were moist and a bit sweet, just as we love them. We also tried their lemonade which was well balanced (not too tart or too sweet.). We're sad that there is no Po Folks down in the south Florida area but as my sister said "we'll now be seeing a lot more of you, just be sure to stop in and visit with us along with your visit to Po folks."
