Snow crab in Mr and Mrs Crab blend, shrimp in garlic butter, shrimp in spiced butter
    Daniela D.

Yesssirrr this place is good. It's not going to be the best seafood of your life but for the price the quality, quantity, and flavor is there. On the evening I came in I believe we beat the dinner rush as there was maybe only 3 other tables seated besides ours. It picked up on our way out, but the space is large enough to accommodate that. The interior is kitschy, but cute and really adds to the experience especially once you are donning all your protective wear lol. Our large table was comfortable especially when you are elbows deep in your boil and well stocked with napkins and a large bucket for discarding shells. We had a coupon for a lb of free shrimp with purchase of a lb snow crab and the appetizers were half off! Our party of 2 started with the calamari which was not chewy but crisp and flavorful. Not a large portion but for half off it was the perfect bite before our meal. We shared the cup of lobster bisque which was large enough for two but not tasty enough. Skip it and save room. We got in total 2lbs of shrimp and a lb of snow crab. We did one shrimp in the garlic butter, one in the spiced butter, and the crab in the Mr and Mrs crab spice blend. Definitely do the Mr and Mrs crab, it's beyond flavorful. I would honestly say no need for extra corn, I think they steam the boil altogether or something and those come out like mush. Potatoes are good and soak up all the juice. Had so much had to take home leftovers. Our server helped me consolidate and bag it all up. She was kind, attentive, and patient with us as we asked questions throughout our time there. The only recommendation I have is they need to give you scissors at the table. The cracker wasn't doing the job well enough for me, could have been user error though. I look forward to my next time here. 8.5/10

This was a my time having a seafood boil. My dish with 2 crabs, shrimp, and lobster tail. With corn and potatoes. I added the ramen noodles. The meal is messy but worth it. My server was fantastic and very helpful. Recommend if you're looking to try a seafood boil or your enjoy seafood boils

This review is strictly for take out. My friends and I love to order trays from here and it always hits the spot for us. It's one of the better places in this area (IMO) to get a seafood boil. The taste and flavor are always consistent. Our order is never wrong. Honestly, we have no complaints!

We ordered two crab boils which were pretty decent. The sauce seemed a little thick and the service was slower than I'd imagine for a lunch time visit, but overall the crabs were good! The restaurant was clean on brand for a me and Mrs crab concept.

This restaurant was very close to our hotel so decided to have dinner here. We went around 6PM on Sunday. The restaurant was clean and cute. I noticed a lot of customers enjoying their seafood boil. Unfortunately I wasn't very hungry so I figured the clam chowder and soup combo would be a light meal for $9.95 and boy was I wrong! The portion sizes were huge and I could only eat about a third of the soup and salad. What a great deal! Hubby had half a dozen oysters $13.95 and half a pound of snow crab legs boil $19.99. You can pick the heat level and seasoning. Hubby loved it all. Check in and get a free beer, wine, or 1/2 off appetizers. The service was great and the ambience was casual and nice.

Amazing seafood boil! Everything here was flavorful and fresh. Great vibe, great service -- will recommend and I definitely want to come back!

My family and I are visiting from California and wanted some seafood so we came across this place. Very nice customer service, our waitress was very attentive and all staff who helped serve us were kind. There are lots of options for fried foods, sides, and appetizers- we had the sweet potato fries, regular fries, onion rings, fried pickles, and calamari, all of them being really crispy with big portions For seafood, our party of 7 got two of the chef special combo 5- big eats which came with total 3 lbs of mussels, crawfish, snow crab legs, shrimp, and sausage and 3 corns 3 potatoes. Those two trays along with the appetizers was very filling for a good price as well. The mr and mrs crab special sauce was a little salty for us so make sure you ask for some lemon and pepper to dip, it really helps balance out the flavors

Sweet potato fries, hot and crispy and they come with a type of cinnamon dipping sauce!

This place was SO good! It was about 15 min from my hotel so I decided to try it. I came in the afternoon on a Wednesday so there were lunch specials on the food and beer! My server Brae was attentive and friendly. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh when it arrived. I got the sweet potato fries as a starter and then did the lunch pick two for $15! I'm full to burst! The restaurant is cute and clean too.

We stopped in for lunch after a long plane ride. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. We shared a seafood boil that was very tasty and enough for two. I also enjoyed a local beer to wash it down. Sometimes it's fun to get messy, especially when they provide a bib and gloves.

We came to Tampa, and our first meal happened to be here. We ordered the S-3 Feeling Crazy Special with an extra 1/2 lb of blue mussels and a side of fried sweet potatoes. The seafood was delicious, but my favorite part was the corn that came in the bag--it was so good that next time, I'll be ordering extra! Surprisingly, even though I usually hate sweet potatoes, I ate these with a huge appetite. The service was excellent--our server was extra helpful and friendly. The restaurant itself was clean and not crowded, which made for a relaxing dining experience. Monday evening seems like a great time to treat yourself to some delicious seafood. The only minor downside for me was the plastic water cups--hopefully, they switch to compostable ones in the future. Our total check was $66 (including tips), which I think is a great price considering how full we were at the end. Definitely recommend this place!

That's the size of a crawfish after I peeled it. What a joke.

Ok. So this is twice. First time I ordered takeout for 10 pounds of crawfish they were small overcooked and dried did not taste good at all. We end up throwing more than half away. I figured maybe it was under the cover for too long. The next time we came into the restaurant, no lie the crawfish we ordered 5 pounds to share as a family. We're so tiny. It didn't even seem legal to sell and serve. It was actually kind of dry and disgusting. For some reason. This location is not the best the one in Orlando we got jumbo crawfish that taste so good. This location totally failed. They're so tiny and disgusting. Rubbery not worth the money. Will never be back at this location. Don't order here at all

Great place for a seafood boil. I had a great experience at the Mr. and Mrs. Crab in Carrollwood, so when we were in the area we decided to try this one. This place doesn't disappoint. For four women we got the Big Eats and added on a lb of crawfish and 1/2 lb of snow crab legs. The snow crab legs are on the pricier side at $19.95 so if your group aren't big snow crab leg eaters then I'd pass on that. We added two sides of rice, which is a must get. You can throw all the boil juices on the rice and it becomes incredible. I thought we were going to need three sides, but two sides was perfect. We got the Mr. & Mrs. Crab special seasoning with no spice added. Then got an extra side of medium spice for those who wanted to go spicier. You will get messy to wear something that you don't mind if you splatter stuff on. They do give you a bib and gloves, but it's hard to eat with your hands and not get dirty. I love the ambiance of the place. It has a beachy theme to it (kind of like margaritaville). Definitely my type of restaurant.

Craving for seafood, found this nice restaurant. Nicely decorated interior. We started with the crab cakes, it was ok, maybe at the higher end of average. From the seafood boil menu we had the lobster tail and shrimps. It was good, nothing special to mention though. Our server was pretty helpful and the service was good. Overall, a nice experience.

How does this place compare to King Cajun in Orlando?

It's a little more hip hop at Mr and Mrs the music and vibe. The crab seasoning is a mix of lemon, garlic and their special butter seasoning but very similar to King Kanin. Both very good restaurants. Also Mr and Mrs crab serves their crabs in bags… Read more

Truly Unforgettable Culinary Journey at Red Thread…read more Our dinner at Red Thread was nothing short of spectacular -- a five-star experience from the moment we stepped through the door until the final sip of our after-dinner drink. We visited to celebrate a milestone birthday, and the team not only met but exceeded every expectation, weaving subtle, thoughtful surprises into the evening that made us feel truly special. The atmosphere is opulent yet completely approachable -- warm, intimate, and alive with cultural richness. You can feel the intention behind every detail: the plush banquettes adorned with intricately embroidered throw pillows, the soft glow of lantern-style lighting, and the perfectly placed gold-tipped cocktail picks that make even the smallest moment feel curated. It's elegant without pretense, like being welcomed into a beautifully kept secret along the Silk Road. Service was led by Katie and Elijah, who were nothing short of exceptional. Their warmth, precision, and deep knowledge of both the menu and the restaurant's rich aesthetic elevated the entire evening. They guided us with confidence, shared stories behind the dishes, and ensured every need was met before we even voiced it. Now, the food -- where do we begin? Red Thread delivers flavors that are bold, layered, and deeply authentic. We started with the spread and small bites platter, and it was immediately clear we were in for something extraordinary. The tabbouleh was bright and herb-forward, with finely chopped parsley, tomato, and bulgur kissed by lemon -- a perfect balance of freshness and zing. The falafel were golden-crisp on the outside, tender within, and served with a bright mint yogurt. So delish! For our mains: the salmon, seasoned with fragrant za'atar and resting atop creamy spanakorizo (spinach and rice), was cooked to buttery perfection. The addition of crumbled feta and a cooling lemon yogurt sauce brought a bright, tangy contrast that elevated every bite. The pork chop, served with tri-color potatoes and glazed in a rich port beurre rouge with rosemary and a whisper of parmesan, was magnificent -- juicy, deeply savory, and beautifully seared. And the beef short rib? Unbelievably tender, with a warm curry base, sweet-spicy melon kimchi, and saffron rice that perfumed the air. The cardamom chèvre melted into the mix, adding a creamy, floral depth that was nothing short of inspired. Every dish told a story -- of distant lands, ancient trade routes, and a chef who clearly treats spice like sacred heirloom. To know these flavors are crafted with spices imported directly from the regions that inspired them explains the unmatched authenticity in every bite. Red Thread stands alone in St. Petersburg -- not just in flavor, but in feeling. We'll be back -- no question -- to explore their brunch and dive deeper into this beautiful narrative they've created on a plate. To everyone reading: This is the kind of restaurant that deserves to be discovered, celebrated, and filled to capacity every single night. Go. Taste. Feel. Red Thread isn't just dinner -- it's a journey. And it's not to be missed.
