Very disappointing. The vantage plate looks nothing like the photos online and is a rip-off. Drinks are overpriced. Server acted like he didn't want to be there. Atmosphere was good but overshadowed by the negatives.

ORDERED - hummus | $12 - shrimp cocktail | $15 - smoked fish dip | $14 SEATING AREA plenty of bar seating; high top tables along the perimeter of the bar floor; a few lounge chairs on the balcony PARKING located in the karol hotel, there is plenty of parking in their hotel lot OVERALL the bar itself is not a literal rooftop bar as all the other reviews mention. it is enclosed and roofed with open sliding doors that lead to a balcony overlooking tampa bay. now that's clear, this is a great place to grab drinks with colleagues after work. they have a limited food menu with some great choices. i got to try the HUMMUS, SHRIMP COCKTAIL and SMOKED FISH DIP which were all delightful. the HUMMUS was a great serving size and was served along with pita bread. the SHRIMP COCKTAIL was a 4 count of large shrimp, FYI. the serving size of the SMOKED FISH DIP was rather small, but it was very tasty. all food items were on the pricier side for what you get IMO, and if shared amongst others, you may need to order additional items. with that being said, come for the drinks, vibes and views; not to eat. if you want food, go downstairs to the hotel's restaurants and then head up to the bar to end off the night.

Great View of Old Tampa Bay and it's Free! This is a rooftop bar by Karol Hotel. As soon as my team sat, bar maid came and said, "welcome to heaven!" I had a prior troubled Friday and sure, i can be in heaven. Ordered Bombay Sapphire Gin and Tonic. Here I am sitting listening to office war stories and i feel no pain! The place do serve edibles, and looking at the menu. waiting, waiting g for the bar mistress- drink is good. The view is the best in Pinellas!

I was expecting an open air rooftop like I'm used to in Ohio. This was a closed space with a huge patio opening where you can sit outside (limited seating on the rooftop patio). You can also see the view from most seats in the closed area. This is a swanky bar and I appreciated my time here during my 4 night stay. It was so nice to leave the kids in the room at night for some adult time on the rooftop. Good service. My only complaint is that we took one bite of the oysters and didn't like them. They were room temp and were not on ice. They do a twist on the raw oysters, some dollop of whipped sauce, gross. We ended up not eating them and didn't bother complaining, we just ate it (pun intended). The raw oysters are a HARD pass. This place is a gem. P.S. Get the Karol Bliss, not too sweet, just right.

Great spot for after work cocktails, date night drinks, or a quick meet with friends. It has a great view and great ambiance, not over the top classy but great casual business etiquette vibe. The small bites menu is good, I would suggest the pizza.

Located on the rooftop of a tribute portfolio hotel. While still in their soft opening (just opened this week), this bar is sure to be a hit in this area. The interior of the bar is beautifully decorated and has the aroma of being new. The countertop is unique and has soft lighting from underneath. Staff is super polite and friendly. The story of how this bar and hotel came to life is a great one. So much so that I couldn't possibly do it justice telling it on here, so if you do visit be sure to ask how it came to be. The bar does have a very small offering of snacks, five to be exact. I did try two of them, the smoked wings and the pretzel bites. They were just ok. Wings were a bit too chewy for my liking although but they did have a great smoke flavor. Pretzel bites were also just ok. I feel like they can definitely do much better on the snack offerings. Decent selection of bourbons and whiskeys, wines, and cocktails. Looking forward to coming back here soon.

We stumbled upon K Hotel and their restaurants and decided to check it out. We had a great time here with amazing drinks and delicious appetizers. There is a view of the pool, the lake and the water in the distance. Modern music is definitely pumping on a Friday night giving this place a cool vibe. Tables and seats are limited so be sure to snag one early. It's on the small side which lends to an intimate feeling. There are a few sofas for lounging. I was going to order the raspberry daiquiri but the waiter suggested the Karol Bliss instead. Wow! Such a great recommendation! Elderflower, Wheatley vodka, lime juice and fresh raspberries. For shareables we ordered jumbo shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad and Asian wings. Everything was delicious but my favorite was the wings. Perfectly cooked, crispy edges and coated with a fabulous sticky Asian sesame sauce. Bit of trivia: the neon at the entrance is the opening line Karol's husband used when they first met! (Yes, Karol the hotel namesake).

Dropped in for a quick bit and drink. The view and ambiance was wonderful but not a "rooftop". In the summer you appreciate the air, in the winter you wish it was a rooftop. The service was decent and no complaints about the food.

This location should have been scored a 5 star plus however the manager Dimitri ruined our dinner. My daughter and I went for a girls weekend and opened a bottle of wine in our room. We ventured out to explore the pool area ( underwhelming) and then went up to the roof top bar. To our surprise it was really pretty with a great balcony and view. We seated ourselves and after 15 minutes flagged over a waitress to order some apps. She asked if we wanted to order drinks and we were forthright in saying no we have our own wine that we brought. She said no problem and left to place our order. Shortly after, our apps arrived and they were fantastic. We ordered the shrimp cocktail and the charcuterie board. Highly recommend!! My daughter ran out of wine and decided to run back to our room, grabthe remaining bottle and bring it back to finish off. We initially were going out for dinner but because we enjoyed this experience so much we decided to stay and were intending on ordering dinner. She came back and a few minutes later Dimitri showed up at our table and abruptly asked how we were enjoying the wine. We said it was fine we had brought it from home. He immediately said oh we we will be charging you a 30.00 corkage fee. I did respond by asking if he corked it for me ? He went on to explain no but there's a mandatory 30.00 fee. Not to cause a scene I replied no problem. We were pissed that no one said there was an issue brining in a glass of wine while staying at the property until after we had eaten half our meal. If this was an issue we should have been told prior to ordering our food. We would have finished our wine in our room and went back snd ordered another one there. We simply stumbled upon the roof top bar and decided to stay. It's not like we were trying to be cheap and bring our own wine. The room was 300 a night. This guy was soooo rude and passive aggressive that he totally ruined our evening. I never get upset over things and I'm very easy going but this was not the service or treatment I expected. Too bad cause the food was great. The manager however is a complete you know what !!!!

    Decent bar selection

This is a really nice rooftop bar. It's laid out differently than some of the other ones in the bay area like Edge, Bulla, or Canopy in that it's mostly covered. Its also not huge like M. Bird. The benefit is that there's air-conditioning. It's also on the 12th floor so you get a good view of the surrounding area. I came here on an afternoon after work. John made an amazing smoked old fashioned and recommended their new york strip. It was cooked to medium rare and had a great peppered crust. Their PEI muscles are probably the best I've had. Only thing is they should have more bread with it, but you can ask for more and it's not really an issue. All in all, highly recommended.

Girls nite out! Went to hear Kelly Goodrich on the piano Bar…read more Great happy hour 1/2 price top shelf martinis and apps. One of the best Sugar (lemon) Drop martinis I've had, not too sweet; just perfect. Also ordered a Blu Halo cosmo which did not disappoint. My friends were not drinking alcohol, but their Mocktails were spot on. We each ordered apps, and were surprised at the amount of food we were served. Each one could have been a meal. My Prawns were as big as lobster tails and there were two in the order. Two of us ordered the beef tips and we should have shared. We both ended up taking 1/2 home. Our friend ordered the scallops and commented they were the best she has ever eaten (and at her age she has eaten many). We were seated quickly and our waiter Tyler was pleasant and attentive. He made sure our second drinks came in before happy hour was over, he great recommendations on what we should order and came back often to check if we needed anything. The bar had a pleasant ambiance although the acoustics were a bit loud. We will definitely be back, but recommended they replace or upgrade the piano. With glass surrounding it, the sound could improve.

I ordered the chicken and swapped the risotto for mashed potatoes. The food was decent, but overall everything could have used a bit more seasoning; it tasted a little lackluster. The kitchen was a bit slow getting our order out, but our server made up for it by bringing us complimentary beignets, which was a really nice touch. The service was attentive and friendly throughout the night!

This is still one of my absolute favorite places in Tampa…read more We always come for the dueling pianos, the performers are all spectacular. They've now changed their system and it is $10 cover, which I think is quite reasonable. We came at 10 PM on a Saturday night, and usually it isn't a cover for ladies after 10 PM, but this happened to be a special night. (It was Latin dance night after and cover increased to $20 at 11 pm) It was still well worth paying $10 for both my husband and me. Especially since the parking garage close by is free. Every song they played for that hour was a banger. They get a ton of requests, so either come earlier and put your request in or be prepared to pay to have your song played. They do try to get to every song and it was quite impressive seeing them fly through the songs of the very end. What really impressed me is one of the pianists learned a couple of songs by listening to them under the staircase and coming back to play it, because he hadn't heard it before. One of those songs was Golden from K-pop Demon hunters, which I absolutely love. I was very impressed that he picked it up so quickly and did a very good job with his limited knowledge of the song. It was a highlight of the night for sure. This place does get busy, but it doesn't feel overly crowded. You may not get a table if you get there late, but there's plenty of standing room and it is easy to get a drink at the bar. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys sing-along songs, so think songs from the 80s and 90s, and enjoys being part of a fun crowd.
