I'm on vacations in the area and some friends took us there to have lunch. The food here was amazing!! Normally I finish my plates but this time I couldn't! Portions are big enough and flavorful. They have croissants with a sweet butter on top that are just wow! I had the country fried chicken with fries and coleslaw. The fries were seasoned perfectly and the coleslaw was very good too. I haven't been to cheddars in at least two years and it was a nice to revisit them. For cocktails I got the a season cocktail it was a play on rum punch, deliciously balanced, 10/10. For a second cocktail I got the coconut mule, it was pretty good, 7/10. As a starter we got the spinach dip I'd give it a 8/10 and for an entree I got the salmon and shrimp which was good, 8/10. The only bummer is how many menu items are cooked with pork, it really limits the variety I can get. Also I thought it was interesting they do a loaded baked potatoes but don't have any chives/green onion. Overall the service was excellent including the bar tender! So we had a late lunch here yesterday. First off the hostess swiftly got us a table. Our waiter was not mean or anything, but he did not seem happy. The feedback when asked a question was minimal and I am very pleasant and polite when speaking to waitresses and waiters. It almost seemed as if he did not want us there. Oh well. The food was good, I had a chicken wrap and fully baked potato and my guest had the chicken fried chicken with fries, and let's not forget the delicious croissant. Both of our entrees and croissant appetizer were really good. The ambiance is off a little, bathroom was messy and the restaurant itself was out dated and had an old restaurant smell. I have to yes to the food! But no to unhappy waiters and dirty restaurants. I more than likely will not return, but try and find another Cheddar's in a different location. I think you could get away with a decent date here if you don't want to break the bank. I wish I took more pictures, this place definitely has its own vibe or at least this location does. There's a big fish tank when you walk in that serves as one side of a hallway and the back of the bar. Big slow moving woven palm fans that rotate vertically over the large dining area, we sat in the bar though. Service was good we were in a hurry and the bartender was serving us so it wasn't the best experience to review, but the food was good for the price I got the bacon cheeseburger it was juicy and perfectly medium how I ordered it - unfortunately they didn't let it rest long enough so the bottom bun was soggy. I love burgers there are ways around this. We also had chick tenders and the buffalo chicken wrap all good sauces were tasty. Cheddar's is like a slept in a way, but I love this location. I typically sit in the bar area since it's just myself but sit in the seated area, not actually at the bar itself. First, how good are those hot honey croissants? Those are 5 stars alone? Service here is typically friendly and fast. I tend to always get a side salad to start with ranch which is a standard salad, croutons, cheese (shredded American, tomato, cucumber, onion) with ranch dressing and then for my meal I get the buffalo wrap with fries. The wrap really should be a meal for two as its four wraps. Why they give you that much, I'll never know, but I love the buffalo sauce and I always ask for an extra side of ranch to go with it. Sometimes I wash it down with one of those famous painkillers too. This place is a pretty great place for a chain. I don't knock it at all. read more

What a bummer. I used to love coming to this place up until the last couple of times I ordered to go from here. The last time was over a month ago and that order was just a grilled chicken wrapper (my go to). Arrived in the curbside area to pick up and waited over 30 mins and called twice. Ended up leaving without my order and calling the manager to complain. Was given a gift certificate to give them another try. I waited until just now and decided to give them another try. Sadly it's the same problem. The service was way too slow and the my order was missing the side salad. I ended up calling the manager again to advise them and he did say that they have been doing lots of training lately with the folks and he was very apologetic. I was very polite and compassionate however this just doesn't seem like it's going to improve anytime soon. So bummed too. They were running a few minutes behind and Mike went out of his way to get in touch with me and give me a heads up, even met me in the parking lot to apologize. The honey butter croissants are delicious and are worth it. I would even opt to have it as a dessert on the first night I ordered the grilled salmon with bourbon glaze on the side and corn off the cob and a baked potato. Everything was delicious the salmon is cooked and seasoned very well that the bourbon glaze was just used as a dipping sauce. I also ordered the lemon pepper chicken. Which came with rice, and I had a side of loaded mashed potatoes, and a broccoli cheddar bake. We had a very yummy dinner tonight. Our waitress Teresa was very kind and so professional. She brought was the most wonderful croissant. They were so fresh and warm with a light honey butter. Delicious We had spinach dip for our appetizer. My husband had a steak and broccoli. I had a chicken sandwich with seasoned fries. My chicken was so wonderful. This is the 1st time I've ate at a restaurant and the chicken was actually seasoned before being breaded and fried. It was wonderful. We will return again. So does Cheddars no longer serve croissants to guest? I've visited the Pinellus Park location 3 times in the past year or so and 2 of those times didn't get offered the croissant. I have been in the service industry for 28 years. I assume if Cheddars has steps of service that this location doesn't follow them. There was a wait when I walked in, so I asked to be sat at the bar. There were no guests at the bar just one bartender. I never like putting a server on blast if the service is sub par. For that reason, I will not mention this person's name. There were no recommendations made. I ordered my food and properly receive my baked potato soup. To be honest with you it was the sole reason I visited Cheddars tonight. Before my soup had been consumed, I received my chicken tenders with mashed taters and gravy. Unfortunately, my mashed potatoes were cold and I didn't receive the gravy at first that I wanted as a dipping sauce. The saving grace was the chicken tenders were quite good. The bartender seemed quite busy conducting pre-close twohours before I had to ask for a refill of my beverage. Ann was never offered a dessert option. To be honest all three times I've visited this location. The service has not been good. And unfortunately, the food hasn't made up for it. The service was okay, but the staff was milling around quite a bit, and no one seemed happy. The food was mediocre at best. And the restaurant, and especially the bathrooms, were disgustingly dirty. They looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years, and that is not an exaggeration. It wouldn't take a lot to simply wipe down the faucets. They need to do a lot more than that, but one would think that the employees would at least wipe things down from time to time. It is very evident that the problem isn't just with the staff because decent management would never allow a restaurant to stay open in this kind of condition. And if district management or ownership has allowed this place to deteriorate to such a degree, then they also aren't interested. This place was a hole, and I'll never step foot in it again. Had heard about this restaurant for quite awhile and saw an ad recently advertising their 'stack of onion rings' and thought that they looked good so my grandson and I went there for lunch. Sure wish I could say that the wait was worth it but no such luck. For appetizers we got the onion rings and shrimp. Was surprised that the sauce on the shrimp was minimal at best and the onion rings were ok but bland. I had to douse them in salt( which I really don't like to do)but at least it gave them some flavor. I had fish and chips, substituted bacon cheese fries for regular, which were the highlight of the meal. The fish was breaded and had the same bland taste that the onion rings had. My grandson got breaded chicken tenders and unfortunately had the same bland taste that the other breaded dishes had and even though there were several pieces in the meal he left most of them on the plate. Food choices were great, atmosphere really nice and prices reasonable. We started with buttered croissants., light and airy. Then we split the crispy chicken tender soup. Delicious! Walked in last night to a very awkward host stand with no direction. Was sat in the bar area (which was fine) and waited for a little bit for a server to come by. Once the server showed up to take our drink order he seemed very out of sorts (and smelled of weed) and had to repeat 4 waters back multiple times. Then came back with the waters we ordered our kids food and then an app to start. Plain noodles came out 20 mins later wrong and still no app. Returned the kids meals which came back out about 10 mins later in between that we ordered our meals (burger and fries chicken wrap). Still no app 15 more mins passed kids were sleeping on the booth and we were out of water no server to be seen. Another 10 mins comes back I ask the host for a manager which he looked at me like I was crazy. Server walked over from the back smelling way to strong this time of weed and I said cancel our orders and I'll take the check. He rolled his eyes and said ok. Manager then wandered over said he would cover the two noodle kids meals and apologized and we gave our sever some cash and left. Won't be back definitely super disappointed! read more
