I love all of the flavor options at Chicken Salad Chick and the sides are tasty as well. This time I got the Barbie Q on a croissant with the grape salad on the side, and the meal was very good. This location is consistently good and the service is great. They allowed me to get samples of the flavors when I came in and were very helpful and friendly with the ordering process. I'll admit I initially found it overwhelming as they have quite a menu with variations of not only chicken salads, but also green salads, and some sandwiches. The Kickin Kay Lynne has great flavor that made you wanting to come back for more, even with the spicy heat. The Spinach Salad was a great side option (for an additional $1), with lots of extras (not sure what all was included) that added to the flavor. The counter service was quick and the ambiance of the restaurant was a bit typical for a fast casual restaurant with photos and decor from the local area. Dixie Chick has the perfect amount of crunch and flavor from the onions and there's just something about the classic that's unbeatable. It's simple, but they have the flavor : texture ratio just right. What surprised me the most, however, is their broccoli salad! I was trying to be healthier by ordering it during my first visit and now I'm completely hooked on the stuff. It's been one of my third trimester pregnancy cravings and I also appreciate being able to stop real quick in and almost all of their prepackaged menu items (quick chicks) on the go. The croissant was flaky and soft, dressed with lettuce and sliced tomato. Also tried the classic salad with a scoop of Kickin' Kay Lynne chicken salad. This one is mixed with buffalo sauce, ranch, bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, jalapeños, & sriracha. It's not as spicy as it sounds, but there's enough heat to make your taste buds wake up and take notice. The greens were crisp and fresh in a nice sized salad. This was my second visit here. First time I took it to go. This time I dined in. An employee gives a rundown on the different chicken salads at the front for those who are new. You can sample the salads and are given a bite on a plastic spoon that is then put into a plastic cup. Terrible waste of plastic and I did not see any recycling. I had the daily special salad Delicious Diva with dill added and my daughter had one with pickles and onions. We both got it on croissant that were not as fresh as we would've liked. For my side, I had fruit which came in another, nicely sized, plastic cup. It contained green and red seedless grapes and a few blueberries and slices of strawberries that were rotten. When I walked into the restaurant, I was greeted by all of the friendly workers. I was SO excited to see that they have a chicken salad tasting area set up before you order. This was perfect because with a million varieties on their menu, I wasn't sure what to get. I tried one of the buffalo chicken salads and the traditional one and decided to go with the traditional one on a croissant. I knocked a star off of this review because the croissant wasn't fresh or flaky, I ended up eating the middle contents but not wanting the croissant. This is the second time I have ordered curbside at this location. I think a call to the health department needs to be made to come out to check the degrees on the refrigeration in food preparation. My only complaint, and the only reason that I'm writing this review, is that finding the Trio on their website was WAY TOO COMPLICATED. Of course, now that I know it's under The Chick, I'll be able to find it again. But my gripe is that I had to hunt around for something that is fairly prominently displayed on their in-store menu. On the website, it doesn't show as an option until you select the 2nd scoop under The Chick's options, which was frustrating while scouring the menu & not wanting to start our order until I found what I wanted. I will note that their online ordering DOES easily offer a way to name another person for the pick up, which was greatly appreciated.
