Top Sirloin and Eggs (8 Oz) w/potatoes, side of grits & English muffin

I've dined at Rizo's Cuisine for dinner twice before this visit and was looking forward to trying them for breakfast for a change. I ordered their steak & eggs. Requested it to be cooked medium. Was very disappointed in the steak as it was more like a tough pork chop consistency, also had a lot of fat & grizzle as well. I reached out to the owners wife while paying the bill and received an apology, but was a learning experience as the steak wasn't worth paying for.

SOLID 5 STARS! At first glance, Rizo's Cuisine is just a diner that is a lot cleaner than most. Don't judge a book by its cover! The Cuisine in the name is well deserved. Rizo's offers a comprehensive 5 page breakfast and lunch menu that literally has something for everyone. If you can't find something you like, call a coroner because you must be dead. Even my lunch companion, All-Star Yelp Elite Dave W had no problem meeting his strict dietary needs. Rizo's also has a 3 page Dinner Menu (Dinner starts at 3:00pm) that has lots of cool and unusual dishes. You can tell from the honestly happy to meet you greeting when you walk in the door that this family owned and run restaurant has a lot of love for dishing up good food. The first thing I noticed was an industrial strength orange juicer behind the counter. Freshly squeezed juice is almost always a sign of commitment to quality. Dave W and I talked for a while with Edgar Rizo and we could both detect the pride and satisfaction the family feels in making Mr Rizo's restaurant vision a success. I ordered the House Skillet ($14.99), which has all the great skillet ingredients: Bacon, Sausage, Ham, onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, and pepper jack cheese. Plus 2 eggs any style, country potatoes, and your choice of 2 pancakes or toast. It was perfectly prepared with fresh ingredients. Easily the best skillet I've had since moving to Florida. I also ordered a side order of Bacon ($4.00 for 3 large slices of bacon) they were crunchy but not chewy, and with NO grease on the plate. Dave W cajoled our waitress Teutta (A.K.A Tutta) to get him a baked potato (which is on the dinner menu). I quickly took advantage of this early dinner offering to get some fresh homemade Guacamole and Chips ($7.95) from the dinner appetizer menu to go. Rizo's has recently gotten their beer and wine license so I had to get a 6oz glass of Spanish Chardonnay ($8.99). The house wine was crisp, and paired well with the skillet. Rizo's is also working on getting the liquor license to have a full bar. A fantastic meal with food to go for $45 with nice tip. This local owned restaurant is a hidden gem. Highly recommended!

Recently opened breakfast spot with great prices and even better tasting food. Very friendly, tons of parking and the shrimp and grits were delicious. The waffle was better than expected and the staff are very friendly and quick

First time here under the new ownership; they've just been here for a few weeks and they finally put in their entire menu , which includes dinner service. I say this because the last iteration of this place (Egg Haven) was breakfast/lunch only. I had a straightforward chopped steak & eggs. Rye toast (dry) with butter on the side. Hash browns on the side were quite serviceable and seasoned well. Chopped steak cooked medium well (I asked for medium) and not too aggressively seasoned. A crack or two of black pepper assisted; eggs were scrambled nicely tho. Daughter Unit and my dear Queen Bee decided to split "street style carne asada sopas." It's two fried corn tortillas covered w. egg, steak onion peppers shredded lettuce, queso fresco and bean puree. They were served with their house made salsas...green and red. They chose a side of avocado for an upcharge. Here's the reason for 4 stars rather than five...For one thing, the waitress totally messed up the DU/QB order. She paid no attention to the request for a split plate. So when she came out with a huge tray filled with plates, the ladies spoke up. Over and above THAT, our dear waitress said that a side of avocado would be a $1 up charge...it was $2.50 on the bill as the picture shows. The eggs were supposed to be over medium but they were definitely over hard. So waitress disappeared for another minute to split the order and bring it back. Then she told 'em that there's a $2 charge to split (common practice for restaurants). "Is that OK?" Well, TBH: the girl should've 86ed the split charge because she screwed up...so NO, it is NOT okay. We didn't fuss over it because fussing over $2 is plain petty. By the time she got back with THAT, my breakfast started to grow tepid. The ladies told me to start... Overall, the food was pleasant and the ladies LOVED the sopas. Mine was straightforward, a bit overcooked and bland (chopped steak) but still acceptable. Much of this could easily have been avoided had "Tutta" paid closer attention. Would we return? Queen Bee said yes for a second try. This was DU's last meal with us before headed back north. She would certainly return here when next she visits the Queen Bee (aka Mother Unit) and me. As she put it, she wanted a "flavor explosion" for that last meal. She definitely got what she wanted (almost x2)...

    Our bill, thanks Trish!

We were looking for a good breakfast place in the Largo area and found Rizo's. Upon entering we were seated in a comfortable booth. The place is clean and bright. They also have outdoor seating and we noticed many meals were taken to those tables. My wife ordered the one egg with hash browns, bacon and pancakes. I was the two eggs, country potatoes with kielbasa and rye toast. Everything was hot and delicious. We will definitely be back.

We came around noon-ish, it wasn't packed and definitely had a cozy vibe! The music wasn't too loud, and everything was clean. We had our food quickly, and both of our dishes tasted good! Would recommend this place.

They finally opened for dinner. The foods are so good! Everything got bold flavor. The services are super friendly. The space got a family vibe like coming home for dinner.

We enjoyed our late lunch at Rizo's. An unassuming spot, we were served promptly and our sandwiches were delicious. There's a lot more on the menu to explore and I look forward to going deeper into their menu.

Everything I had here was absolutely delicious! The pancakes were so fluffy and perfect, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the flavors all went so well together. The service was great and it wasn't super crowded which was nice. It's a great place for Sunday breakfast/brunch and has a cute vibe. You can't go wrong with the skillets or the pancakes!

we originally went here soon after they opened and had an absolutely ridiculously bad time and left…read morea review for them. To be fair, we were told by the manager to call, give them another chance to make it right etc. However, we didn't call and only gave them a second chance this morning with friends. The reason I didn't call to "make it right" was I want the experience I have at a restaurant to be organic, and not get special or specialized treatment because we made a complaint. Now, on to our adventure today. We (a party of 4) arrived around 1020ish and were seated pretty quickly. The restaurant was pretty full, which was expected as it was a Sunday morning. The lady who seated us (not our waitress...tall with long dark hair) was very friendly, chatty, and funny. We appreciated her service. Our waitress was quite inattentive. We each got a cup of coffee, along with waters, iced tea, etc. Once we got our drinks and the orders were placed, we didn't see the waitress again until after the food was delivered (i.e., a very, very long time). The tall dark-haired lady finally came around and refilled our coffee/tea/water after they had all sat empty for 10+ minutes. The wait for the food was so, so, so long. We waited close to 45+ minutes for our food (nothing special, nothing fancy, straight up off the menu, no changes or alterations). This has not improved since the last time we were there and it is just baffling to me that it takes so long to get food out. The biscuits and gravy were enjoyed enjoyed, however 2 of the 4 biscuits were so hard she could not cut them with the fork, and with very very great difficulty with the knife. The tops of the biscuits were soft and pillowy but the bottom were pucks. This time the eggs seemed to have been cooked properly My husband was not happy with the omelette he got, and they took that off the bill without us asking. She did mention that she could have another order put in for him but (and these are her words), "It would take about 15 hours for you to get your new plate of food." We declined a new order and thanked her for taking it off the check. I got a sandwich and it was fine, nothing special but also not awful. Our other friend got a full breakfast platter which he enjoyed. He said the pancakes were very fluffy. So, in this updated review, I have increased the stars for the food because it wasn't *as* awful as last time, but still problematic. The worst thing, which was an issue with our first visit, is the wait time for food. It is just too. dang. long. I look at a place like Lennys, where we would have been in, seated and eating by the time we got our first coffee refill (also much too long in a breakfast place.....just....have coffee ready??). We did note when we walked in there were only 3 servers for the dining room --- perhaps they were short staffed which is why we only saw our server 4 times --- once for drinks, once to take food orders, and once to check on food, and once to drop the check. It was the lady who seated us who had a great rapport with the table, who was cheerful and friendly who can take credit for the two stars in ambience. In the end, we gave them another shot. No one at the table was impressed. The kitchen is woefully slow. The service was inattentive. we will not be coming back.
