On March 1st, I drove down to see a Phillies/Yankees game in Clearwater. I stopped by Angie's Grill for breakfast. There was a man and a woman who were so inviting and pleasant. The breakfast was very good. I was surprised that there were only a few people in the restaurant. Kudos to the chef too. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. The coffee had a good flavor and the water tasted pure We had breakfast, eggs, bacon and grits and it was delicious and prepared as requested! The new owners are super kind and attentive. Went here with my coworkers to grab some "breakfast for lunch" today- the French toast hit the spot like none other! The food was so good I had to order an omelet to try which was also amazing. If breakfast food is your comfort food- GO TO ANGIE'S GRILL! The non breakfast food items looked really good as well so I am looking forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu. Could & Should be Better We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. It wasn't very busy. The café is clean and nicely decorated. The staff were nice and attentive. Prices were fair. I had the corned beef omelet which was on special. It was very tasty and quite large. I could have done without the slice of "plastic" American cheese melted on top. It adds practically no flavor and isn't worth the calories. The accompanying grits were better than average but still needed butter, salt and pepper to give them some flavor. It also came with a nice, warm biscuit. Unfortunately, when it sits on a plate for any amount of time, the bottom gets steamed and goes soggy. We also had the Angie breakfast sandwich. It was quite nice except the bread was a little burnt. We shared a half order of French toast. It was thick, so the interior was soggy. The coffee was nice. When paying the bill at the cash register, I saw a small notice about a 4% surcharge for credit cards. I didn't have enough cash, so I paid the surcharge. I do wish that surcharges like this were put on their website and door and menu, so you know up front. If they could clean up some of the details in the kitchen, this would be a good, regular breakfast stop. But with so much competition in the field, I can't see going back to check if they've fixed the basics. read more

Wow. The food here was amazing. It's a small little place and we weren't expecting much, but this was my second time coming this week because of how good it was the first time. We ordered the steak and eggs and the eggs benedict, the portions are massive, the price is unbeatable, and the food is a 10/10. I worked all night and needed to do something for Father's Day breakfast but I was exhausted. I got the idea to have something delivered. A new experience for me. I ordered steak and eggs for my husband. For me I got chicken fried steak for me. It came with eggs, toast and potatoes. The food tasted homemade. It was simple without likes of fake flavors, no preservatives or artificial flavors. It arrived in least than an hour. I was delighted with how it turned out. This diner is a cute small little place. The food is good and the prices are very reasonable. The coffee has a very good light tasting flavor. Our waitress was very patient with us while having a large party. For all you old timers that use to come under the old management, you need to come back. Angie's is a breakfast & lunch joint that caters primarily to locals. I've been twice in the past 10 days and I've gotten the steak & eggs breakfast both times. A decent-sized breakfast cut sirloin with two eggs, home fries, and toast comes in at a very reasonable $8.95. I ate every bite both times. The service is classic small-town diner friendly with the appropriate amount of "honey" and "darlings". Coffee is always refilled promptly. The simple decor keeps the cost down. In a town with a number of good breakfast places catering to locals Angie's fits right in perfectly. read more

1/2. Not bad! Service was outstanding. Miss Angie herself came by the table to check on us. Nice touch. You can definitely tell things are homemade. Fish is hand breaded but not over-breaded. Fresh cornbread served with dinner. The fried scallops were perfect and the onion rings were freshly cut and very good. Definitely homemade soup! I got the vegetable soup (a tad bit salty, but I never salt anything so it is probably fine for most palates) and Stan got the clam chowder, which he liked very much. Dinner came with free bread or rice pudding. We both got the bread pudding. Definitely homemade and yummy. Don't bother with the coffee though. Too weak. So, dinner, coffee and dessert for 2, $20.23! And we have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. It's not fine dining, but I don't care what the place looks like as long as the service and food is good. We'll go back to try other menu items. read more

If you read the original review, i had justifiable complaints which earned you two . The owner was incapable of following the simplest of directions. I told the waitress to circle my request for crispy potatoes. You failed to do that when you got the order the first time. I sent them back and you sent them back to me still not crispy. I get my potatoes like that everywhere I go. Why couldn't you figure it out? Not to address the reason why I came in upset. And I even addressed it when I came in and sat down at the bar. Not only are you deflecting any responsibility for your crappy food and service, you are completely misstating what transpired before I entered. Things though your restaurant is two doors down from a ghetto wig store, I had one of the employees yell racist slurs at me as she was walking down into the business she worked. I ended up calling her management and reporting her. She yelled racist slurs at me because as she was getting a ride into work, her driver would not pull forward allowing me to get my truck out of traffic and I gave him a beep. She was upset and called me a cracker. Of course, a verbal altercation started but it was me yelling back at her why I gave the driver a beep. Even after the beep, the driver didn't move. I explained this when I came in. I love how you like to demonize me because you got a poor review. I hope your business fails. Liars and owners that can't follow directions and have crappy service and deflect responsibility don't deserve my money or anybody's money for that matter. Your food was crappy. We've been long time customers of there Cleveland location but hadn't tried this spot. I finally did the other day placing a pick up order and instantly fell in love. Clean space but still homey like a mom&pop with the same friendly personal atmosphere. Great deals you just can't beat. We got breakfast and it was exactly what I needed and wanted. A-OK. Came here with the BF for a quick lunch date while i'm on my break from work. He suggested it since it's close by and we wanted to go somewhere new. Angie's is only open for breakfast & lunch 6-4. They have a simple menu consisting of breakfast items, sandwiches and some basic dinners. The atmosphere is simple, yet fresh, light and clean. Our server was friendly and greeted us right away. Angie even came by to visit and make sure that everything was going well during the visit. I ordered a patty melt with fries. It was "just okay", but lacking in flavor a bit. Sorry to say, but I've had better patty melts before. Also, the ketchup was some weird off brand and did not accompany the fries well. The BF got breakfast dish consisting of eggs, hashbrowns and toast and he liked his alot. I think if it's up to him, we'll come here again. Not my #1 choice based on food, but the service was nice and prices were dirt cheap so I would consider giving it another shot in the future. read more

This is my favorite place to eat! I usually get the bacon egg and cheese sandwich with french fries on the side or the Angie's omelette, the omelette comes with side of toast and your choice of hash brown, home fries or grits. both delicious breakfast meal. Nice friendly local place that serves up charm and good food! It may not look like a place to have breakfast from the outside, in a strip mall store front....but the food and service was top notch! We arrived at the end of breakfast rush, and they were MORE than accommodating! They placed 3 tables together to keep our group as one! The inside of restaurant is a bit dated...but old charming. The wait staff was on top of my table, and many more that were seated about the same time. Food is reasonable priced with big portions! I ordered the Corned Beef and Eggs....and it was just right! We also had, The Mexican omelet, pancakes, Eggs/bacon/toast plate, breakfast sandwich, and 2 kids meals. Angie's also offers a few table games to play if you are in need of something to pass your time while waiting for food or after your meal while having coffee. Nice little family owned & operated place serving home cooked style meals at very reasonable prices. Got the Mexican Omelette with Chorizo Sausage, added Jalapeños & cheese, hash browns, wheat toast & hot tea. My wife got 2eggs over medium with ham, fruitcup & coffee. Ham perfectly cooked, not dry at all. Nice variety of FRESH fruit! Coffee very good, hot tea Lipton brand. Decor may be outdated, but the food is not! Fresh made to order, good quality home style food. Definitely will be back to try other menu items. Highly recommend trying this place. We have been back several times, tried various breakfast, lunch & dinner specials. While nothing has wow'd me to rate anything as 5 stars, I can easily give everything I've had a SOLID 4 stars! Sirloin steak & eggs were a special and $2 less than the regular price. The regular price was very reasonable so the $4.95 price was a real deal. They came with grits or potatoes and toast. No guests when I arrived 90 minutes after opening time but some arrived later. Only one server but she did her best to keep up. The food was properly cooked. Years ago only breakfast and lunch were served but dinners were added about 2 years ago. There is a dinner special every night at $5.99. read more

If the owner of this place is the one sitting outside calling tow trucks on people in their running car in a spot on an empty property that doesn't belong to her I recommend she find a more productive way to occupy her time. Potential customers wouldn't be chased away and your neighbors wouldn't dislike you. I used to wonder about this place..... Not anymore. I pull in the parking space and she screams excuse me!!! And points to the sign so my bf jumps out and I wait in the car. She evidentially really doesn't like people parking in empty spots that belong to an empty space for rent because she went and grabbed a cordless phone to call the tow truck company on me....
