Excellent as always...Got a breakfast sandwich with a hard roll (asked for the roll)....Also got the hot home fries which were very tasty (not really hot)...If you're following for a change of regular home fries try these...They're great ! The Greek peppers are fried and lend a unique tang to them....Also note, you only get the free danishes with some meni items ....I did not get them for this order.

Nick and I stopped at Lenny's for a quick lunch and it exceeded our expectations. He ordered the chicken salad sandwich with potato salad, and I had the half sandwich and salad combo, choosing the ham and Swiss on sourdough with Thousand Island dressing for my salad. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. Our table came with a complimentary relish tray, and honestly, that ended up being our favorite part. The coleslaw on that tray was the absolute best coleslaw I've ever had in my life. We were laughing that we would come back just for the coleslaw alone. Lorraine was our server, and she knew the menu front and back. She made great suggestions and provided friendly, attentive service. Overall, excellent food, great service, and very fair pricing. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend Lenny's for a delicious, satisfying lunch.

This is one of my fav local breakfast spots! Been going here since I was a kid and I am happy to see they have stuck with their eclectic style. I love how they use recycled materials as decore and stick to a traditional menu with amazing quality food items. Although I am gluten free my mom did thoroughly enjoy the free danishes and we both had a really excellent meal! I got the western inlet with gf pancakes and she got an omelet with potatoes. I was very happy with the service as well! Our server was super sweet and even compliment my newly dyed hair! Definitely recommend :)

Breakfast platter- eggs , scrapple and grits and an in house poppy bagel. Delicious

Organized chaos! During spring training, the Phillies fans own this iconic restaurant. Long wait times made better by calling ahead to get on a waitlist- we were seated as soon as we walked through the crowd. Our server was in complete control and made sure to keep his customers happy with refills and quick delivery of food coming out of the kitchen. The staff was a well oiled machine, churning out excellent breakfast dishes and cycling in the next wave. To be clear, you were NOT rushed to finish. I ordered a breakfast platter of two eggs over medium, with scrapple and grits and an up charge for their in-house bagel wet with butter: over the top! Scrapple, polish sausage, corned beef hash and other meats were some of the out of the ordinary offerings. A complimentary danish basket was also a unique and delicious starter. You can also wrap it to take home. You don't have to be a Philly fan to enjoy this spot. Just come hungry.

A very busy, popular restaurant in the Clearwater area. They were packed. When we went there actually was no parking. We had to park and walk . We did have to wait for a table, but not too long. They seem to get the food out pretty quickly. The menu is large. There are many options and some are unique. The waitress was very nice, attentive, and quick. It looks like an old diner. Photos on the walls, table seating or you may sit at the counter. It has neighborhood vibes. Definitely a place where the locals go. I would go back.

Old world with a New York vibe diner, wife food selection for Breakfast and Lunch. Friendly, caring and attentive staff, some of them have worked there for 20+ years. Large portions, for breakfast there is a freshly baked complimentary danish basket. Lenny's is must go in Clearwater!

SOLID 5 STARS All-Star Yelp Elite Dave W chose Lenny's for our outing this week. Lenny's is not just a restaurant, it is an experience. Everywhere you look there is something interesting to see. From the numerous signs on the walls and ceiling, to the decorated windows, I guarantee you will not be bored. Great atmosphere means nothing without good food. I rate all diner type establishments by their hash browns and bacon. Lenny's serves home fries, which qualifies. The potatoes are nicely browned and have NO grease. The bacon is perfect. Crunchy without being chewy, and NO grease. I ordered the Portobello Benedict ($14.99) and a side of bacon ($4.99). My breakfast came with a complimentary basket of danish pastry. Dave W tells me the pastry is a Lenny's trademark tradition. The portobello was fantastic! Lots of mushrooms with a tasty hollandaise sauce. Total bill of $25 (including generous tip for our waitress Tara). I'll be back with friends! Good choice Dave W!

After living here for many years, I finally went to Lenny's after so many great reviews. It was amazing! Now I understand why many love it. Great service, great food, and the prices are reasonable. I ordered the BLT Benedict. It was delicious! My mother went with me and she ordered the same things. She loved it, too! It's a cool diner experience with sit down service. We will definitely go back! Oh! And the Danishes were also wonderful!!!

Pancakes and omelettes as part of the hearty breakfast

We were visiting my folks in St. Petersburg, looking for a good diner, and did Lenny's restaurant ever hit it out of the park! First off the coffee is amazing, second the restaurant is a beautiful eclectic celebration of quirkiness, our waitress knew the menu inside and out was quick on the refills, and overall just spectacular! Let's go to the food, look at the pictures we all had a different version of the hearty breakfast. My son had pancakes and an omelette, I had the country fried steak, breakfast potatoes with onions, and eggs over easy. I love a good country fried steak with sausage gravy and this was one of the best I've had! Sorry, no pictures but my wife had eggs, bacon and hashbrowns and so did my daughter. They both love them. The danish basket is amazing! What a wonderful and amazing treat to have dropped off before your food arrives. There were so many good things on the menu. We can't wait for the next trip to try even more!

    What's their gluten free situation?

Being that I follow a keto plan, I don't worry too much about it. Instead, I'd come prepared to eat an omelet with cheese and meat, avoid the toast and potatoes and order tomato instead or a cheeseburger or something similar. They have great omelet… Read more

The burgers are Wagyu Beef based and deeeeelicious! I ordered the Sonny Corleone which was the aforementioned Wagyu Beef topped with Swiss Cheese, Sautéed Mushrooms and Onions....fantastic! Terri ordered the Speak Cheesy Burger which was the Wagyu Beef topped with homemade Mac and Cheese and then smothered with melted American Cheese....amazing. The fries were a notch above and their Onion Tanglers were thinly cut onions rings and one gets to choose from a large list of dipping sauces...we went with Bourbon BBQ and Disco Dip. The BBQ was a sweet sauce and the Disco Dip was a light brown gravy. Both were very tasty! The Prescription Lemonade adult beverages were veeeerrrry good as well, one Strawberry version and one Blood Orange. Service was excellent...and it was a quiet place. We talked briefly with the couple at the next table as they were also "dog" and "horse" people. Overall a great experience....I found out later that they also play classic movies in their back room for a definitely unique date night option for people.

To be fair, we were told by the manager to call, give them another chance to make it right etc. However, we didn't call and only gave them a second chance this morning with friends. The reason I didn't call to "make it right" was I want the experience I have at a restaurant to be organic, and not get special or specialized treatment because we made a complaint. Now, on to our adventure today. We (a party of 4) arrived around 1020ish and were seated pretty quickly. The restaurant was pretty full, which was expected as it was a Sunday morning. The lady who seated us (not our waitress...tall with long dark hair) was very friendly, chatty, and funny. We appreciated her service. Our waitress was quite inattentive. We each got a cup of coffee, along with waters, iced tea, etc. Once we got our drinks and the orders were placed, we didn't see the waitress again until after the food was delivered (i.e., a very, very long time). The tall dark-haired lady finally came around and refilled our coffee/tea/water after they had all sat empty for 10+ minutes. The wait for the food was so, so, so long. We waited close to 45+ minutes for our food (nothing special, nothing fancy, straight up off the menu, no changes or alterations). This has not improved since the last time we were there and it is just baffling to me that it takes so long to get food out. The biscuits and gravy were enjoyed enjoyed, however 2 of the 4 biscuits were so hard she could not cut them with the fork, and with very very great difficulty with the knife. The tops of the biscuits were soft and pillowy but the bottom were pucks. This time the eggs seemed to have been cooked properly My husband was not happy with the omelette he got, and they took that off the bill without us asking. She did mention that she could have another order put in for him but (and these are her words), "It would take about 15 hours for you to get your new plate of food." We declined a new order and thanked her for taking it off the check. I got a sandwich and it was fine, nothing special but also not awful. Our other friend got a full breakfast platter which he enjoyed. He said the pancakes were very fluffy. So, in this updated review, I have increased the stars for the food because it wasn't *as* awful as last time, but still problematic. The worst thing, which was an issue with our first visit, is the wait time for food. It is just too. dang. long. I look at a place like Lennys, where we would have been in, seated and eating by the time we got our first coffee refill (also much too long in a breakfast place.....just....have coffee ready??). We did note when we walked in there were only 3 servers for the dining room --- perhaps they were short staffed which is why we only saw our server 4 times --- once for drinks, once to take food orders, and once to check on food, and once to drop the check. It was the lady who seated us who had a great rapport with the table, who was cheerful and friendly who can take credit for the two stars in ambience. In the end, we gave them another shot. No one at the table was impressed. The kitchen is woefully slow. The service was inattentive. we will not be coming back.

When we walked in, we were quickly greeted. Place is still bright, clean and cheery. Interesting soundscapes type music piped in also. We were told we could sit anyplace as we entered. We did and sat at a booth with a very wobbly table. A moment or two later when Ginger took our order, she replied that "we were tryin' to fix that table yesterday but we didn't have a shim." M next time a word about not having us sit there would be a welcome gesture on their part rather than letting us move all our stuff to the next table. Anyway...coffee was kinda weak too. I usually don't bother with diner coffee as it's usually hit or miss. This stuff was the latter by far. Meanwhile we got the former with our food! Queen Bee chose a daily special: one egg, two pieces of French toast and two strips of bacon. I chose the country fried steak breakfast. Queen Bee's choice made her quite the happy camper. French toast she found quite delicious; well cooked rather than goopy or runny with a nice crisp to it. The egg was perfect over medium as asked. She even told Ginger what an over medium egg constitutes. Ginger replied "I gotcha honey" with a southern laugh. My breakfast meantime was quite lovely for the most part. Country fried steak was a standard Sysco truck frozen block of breaded, minced meat. It was properly cooked (as opposed to incinerated) and not greasy. The standout for this was/is the "country gravy." Country gravy oftentimes suffers from one of two problems... 1. Over salty from too much sausage and sausage grease. 2. Floury aftertaste because the cook can't make a proper béchamel. This stuff had neither problem and was one of the better country gravies I've had in recent memory if not ever. Meanwhile eggs were scrambled properly...not too loose, not too tight (more toward the latter than the former). The home fries were quite bland (no salt, no pepper or even a hint of paprika). I wonder if too many of the old folks living round here complained about 'em. Anyway, I added a shake of salt (gasp!) and some pepper. I chose rye toast as I usually do. When Ginger dropped off our chow I even asked if it was rye instead of whole wheat. She said yes with a smile, adding the only way she can tell 'em apart is by "looking for the seeds. Ya gotta be smarter than what ya work with." Finally, Ginger herself is a real hoot. She truly reminds me of a southern version of the NYC diner waitresses I remember from my younger years and decades in the Big Apple. Sassy, funny, and quite efficient, competent and knowledgeable. After we walked in, we weren't so sure about whether we'd return here ever again. However given the balance of today's experience, I'd say that when we find ourselves in the area and in need of a feed...Pete seems to have done well with this joint and I'd say his morning crew knows their stuff!
