Rating: (1 out of 5 stars) During a recent visit to Clearwater Beach, my family and I stopped by Island Market for a couple of quick sandwiches and wraps. We paid $10 each, which we were fine with if the food had been fresh -- but it definitely wasn't. As soon as we opened the sandwiches, we noticed the meats looked off. Several slices had gray discoloration and odd textures (see photos). It was enough to make us uncomfortable eating them. For what we paid, we expected at least fresh, safe food -- not something that looked like it had been sitting around too long or stored improperly. Disappointed is an understatement. If you're in the area, I'd recommend looking elsewhere for food -- this was not worth the money or the risk. (Attaching photos so others can see what we were served.) read more

This location is perfect when you don't want to travel far from the hotel. You can grab a snack or drink. There are also lots of adult beverages. We could walk to the store. There is also $30 all day parking nearby. read more

Wow what a sweetheart of a store. Alan was so far it is customer service and excellent, and his knowledge as well as obliging to my very incessant and specific needs. We were able to come in and out quite fast before going to a event meeting. We will be back to this spot because they have good deals and he works with the clientele and is not a total jackass about it like some places. read more

It was 8:48 pm when we arrived. The store closed at 9. I had told my kids they could get candy. The worker was standing in front of the entrance and rudely told my kids they could only enter if they knew what they were getting. Thank goodness for the friendly staff at Speedway ! read more

Went in expecting almost all liquor and a few snacks, they had everything I needed. Yogurt, healthy snacks , not so healthy snacks regular groceries. Everything was not jacked up like normal . This ain't Wegmans but 10/10 and employee was super nice read more

island market is is clearwater beachs iconic chain store for local individuals and families that live on clearwater key and. most of the local shoppers activities such as surf style are entangled in a tight dense conglomeration of island's multiple locations with thier various flavors liquor, market and and surfstyle. beer unfortunately is significantly overpriced with 24oz. cans of bud selling at $~4.43 while CVS has the same can for $3.36 read more

We shopped here a few times when we were in Clearwater. This place has everything you could be looking for Souvenirs:::: This place has it. Shirts, mugs, sea shells with ur names on it!!!! Hats,necklaces ect..... Snacks n food ::::: They have your usual such as chips, candy bars n other snacks. They have sandwiches n hot dogs. You can't go wrong. Liquor:::: Yes they sell Beer. Yahhhhh. Great neighborhood store. You can find pretty much everything you need on a vacation - from snacks and sandwiches to alcohol and travel size bathroom stuff and medicine. The store is clean and staff is friendly. It's located in south part of Clearwater Beach by Pan Filos Grill. They open early in the morning and close late at night which makes it comfortable if you need to buy something for your trip. read more

People were nice enough, this is not a "grocery" store, but have a little of all you need. Be prepared to pay out the A*# for most things. Very pricey. You need chips, snacks, drinks? Go down the street to the speedy gas station, you'll pay half. This Market is very clean and well stocked, no complaints. Very clean, well stocked grocery store. We frequent it many times during our week in Clearwater Beach. The staff was very friendly.

The closest market place near our hotel! Staff is not friendly. I don't expect to know if they have a scale or not... but the associate had such attitude when I brought bunch of banana-she said "do you want these? Don't you know we don't have a scale? Are you going to pay per banana?" Umm I didn't see a sign on the door that said you all didn't have a scale! Anyways! The store itself is big and pretty much have almost every little thing in there to suffice you during your vacation. read more

Small supermarket. Super pricey! A pack of deli cheese was $9.00. Lunch meat was 7.00. Great for a "in a pinch" situation. Otherwise go elsewhere! We put or stuff back and decided to go to Publix instead. read more

Cheats! Bought three things and nothing scanned/was priced correctly. Snapple had a $.99 tag and scanned for $1.39. Doritos prices $4.09 and scanned $4.79. Water priced $3.99 and scanned $6.99. Clerk had no interest in checking the price and was basically like "take it or leave it." Couldn't wait around to argue because we had a small child, so just paid and left. If I could give no stars I would. Employees were incredibly rude we received dirty looks coming in. At 11:45 they yelled that they were closing and we approached the counter apologetically where the employees were making snide comments saying "come back tomorrow when we're open" I got back to the hotel to discover some of the food I purchased was a month EXPIRED. C'mon don't work in a tourist town if you hate tourists. read more

Watch out & be careful to not be overcharged or pay an outrageous price for something! A very small box of animal crackers ended up costing $2.99 and was not stocked in the right place on the shelf. It had a .69 cent price in front of it. For a small .99 cent bottle of pop I was charged almost $2.00. When these items were rung up it cost almost $5.00!! When these discrepancies were pointed out it was met with attitude. Not the type of place I want to do business with! read more

We were very happy to find this store right down the street from our condo rental. Nice selection and friendly service. Yes, it's fairly pricey, but the quality was high, and it was so convenient instead of driving back over the bridge when we only needed a few things! read more
