Best customer services I've received in a long time. I must admit, when pulled up I was thinking we need to choose another location. From the outside it looks like a hole in the wall. We were greeted and was pleasantly surprised. My daughter and I ordered French toast special. The French toast was really delicious. My son ordered the pancake special with chocolate chips. Maybe I don't like chocolate chips but it was not my favorite. He ate every drop. I think it is family owned and run. I would highly recommend, don't worry about how it looks outside just give it a try. read more

Brown and crisp on the outside, soft in the middle nice potato chunks. Bagel breakfast sandwich with bacon and cheddar was veryyyy good my husband said. He preferred that to the biscuits and gravy he got. They had several hot sauces to choose from which is nice most places have one maybe two. My friend loved her french toast, and I thoroughly enjoyed my western omelette. The home fries were a huge portion and were deliciously seasoned. Jeff (the cook) and Bridgette (host, server) are busy but always nice, personable and converse with customers. ... except when Jeff is singing along to a fave tune on the radio while he's cooking non-stop. Prices are very reasonable, $20 covers me, my father and tip. Place is small, quaint and social. Enter and the right is a long 1950's soda bar seating, on the left are tables. Jeff is big guy and immediately see him cooking over a large flame and likely singing. 90% of customers are routine regulars. Once a new visitor is fortunate enough to be introduced it is very very VERY likely they join this routine customer crowd. Anyone from out of town I've taken, next time around have asked if we're going again this visit. Tory's is a gem. read more

A total hole in the wall in the BEST way! The food was amazing. Every single person in our party was wavering on coming back the next day and forgoing our itinerary to try something new. One of the best fruit cups I've ever had. Sandwich was a little salty but I got ham so no blame there whatsoever. The owner was so sweet and celebrating her 50th birthday. They pretty recently took ownership of the restaurant but it's been around for about 20 years I think she said. The ONLY "negative" I have is if you're a large party you will be unable to eat inside. There are maybe six 4-seat booths, and 4 barstools on one side, 7 on the other? It is VERY cramped but we were a party of six and grabbed the last of barstools at entrance. I think the entrees were about $8-$12 and coffee was about $3! Just try it! read more

The pancakes were a meal alone! big as dinner plates and loaded with blueberries. Bacon + eggs were good. My husband had the french toast which was also delish, came with sausage and fried eggs. Everything on the plate was tasty. We also ordered a biscuit, because i'm from the south and, well, just gotta. It came grilled. I usually have to ask to get that. Very good, service fabulous!!! Food with Heart Tory's is in an unprepossessing building and looks worn around the edges. The inside cooking area, however, is clean and well maintained. The husband/wife team are the cook and server. Both seem to care about their food and their customers. Most of the food was very good with some very minor quibbles. The scrambled eggs could be a bit fluffier. The ham slice is large but thin; half the diameter and double the thickness would be a bit juicier and I would have preferred a better sear on the outside. The biscuit was nice but rather standard and could have been fluffier, although I do appreciate the quick toast on the grill. French toast was nicely spiced and cooked through mostly. And the grits were among the best I've had in Pinellas County--made from scratch and neither soupy or gummy--and properly salted. Any criticism is minor, and I would give Tory's 4.5 stars if I could. But they obviously care deeply about what they do and include a lot of heart in their food. So it's easy to round up to 5 stars. read more

It is at the south end of a strip mall (separated from the much larger mall strip mall next door). This is an amazing gem that we discovered. The prices are really amazing and the quality of the food was excellent. I am from New Jersey. Since my move to Florida I have really struggled to find a breakfast spot that reminds me of the Diners i grew up on. The pancakes were exactly like a NJ/ NY diner. The potatoes were amazing. There is Eagles apparel around the place (Go Birds). The owners were busy serving a fully packed restaurant- and they were still kind and attentive despite being extremely busy. Amazing and friendly atmosphere with killer food. The wife and husband run this place. He cooks and she serves. It's a simple spot, with good portions and quality of food. Our local friend Frank brought us in here when we were in town, and when we are back in Clearwater, we will definitely be back to this spot! I ordered two eggs over medium with a side of sautéed spinach, onions and peppers. He added light olive oil and garlic to my veggies, with a little salt and pepper. We came across this restaurant here on Yelp and loved the fact that it wasn't where all the tourists fled to but where all the locals frequented. What a fun and close knit group! It was pretty packed when we went in, but they were so efficient and cleared a table straight away as soon as one opened up. The gal ran the show in there, and she was amazing! Never forgetting anyone and checking in on everyone. At one point when she was caught up for the moment, we all clapped for her! The food was delicious...home cooked and fresh. I ordered a 2 egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and a half order of french toast (which i shared with hubby). Hubby ordered the Deuce's Special, which he enjoyed thoroughly. The french toast was incredible! The bread had a hint of sweetness and didn't even need syrup it was so good on its own. My breakfast sandwich was delicious, light and fluffy eggs and cooked exactly how I ordered it. Cheers to the awesome chef!! Again, the food was outstanding, but what we enjoyed most was the friendly familiar feel of the establishment. This was such an amazing discovery! I was dropping my grandson off at school this morning in an area of town that I don't frequent. I haven't had breakfast yet, so I checked for restaurants in the area. Torys had a five star rating with 66 reviews. I figured I couldn't go wrong. so I asked Siri for directions. At first I couldn't find it because I assumed it was in a long strip mall that I was approaching. Under closer inspection, I discovered it was in a smaller area nestled into the corner. Not much to look at from the outside, but as soon as I opened the door, my senses were overwhelmed with the captivating aromas of an active kitchen. I assume it was Tory herself, that told me I could sit anywhere I wanted and while waiting on me, she kept the conversation going with what I can only assume as a group of regulars. But by the time I left, I felt like a regular also! Oh, I can't forget about the food! The portions were massive, well prepared and delicious. My eggs were cooked exactly as I wanted them. The potatoes were obviously homemade not from some frozen package. The corned beef hash was grilled to perfection, and the coffee was piping hot with my mug never more than half empty. I stopped in for breakfast, but what I got was far beyond. It was an experience (and also amazing breakfast.) From the moment I walked in, I saw regulars come in the door and crack jokes with the chef, and people enjoying their time together. I felt like I stepped into a different world, and I loved it. To top it off, the eggs Benedict was delicious, the hollandaise sauce they use was absolutely the best I've ever had.
