We ate our food so fast! All that was left was our tea and coffee!

From the first moments of opening the door, we knew this was going to be a great breakfast. The familiar smell of "old doner & love rushed out to greet my nose! A very gentle and lovely server greeted us, indicating we could sit wherever we would like, while another made the rounds with fresh hot coffee. As the second woman made the rounds, she made friendly jovial conversations with locals indicating they had been coming for a while. My husband had the artichoke, mushrooms, asparagus & feta omelet. I had a single egg and grits. This one of the VERY few tomes I have actually received a properly cooked over medium egg!!! Thank you, Pete's!!!! Finally! The grits were perfect as well! Just slightly loose, just slightly lumpy (not many lumps, and they were very small). What a lovely little jewel! I wish I lived closer. I would come back often if I could!

Good Lord, I love finding little family diner's that still serve amazing food with good friendly customer service. My GF had been food deprived for a medical procedure in the area and we wanted food quick. Yelp led me to Pete's Diner and I'll just say the place did not disappoint. I opted for the Pete's Scramble, biscuits and gravy covered in scrambled eggs with choice of bacon or sausage. Their gravy is out of this world GOOD. GF went with the hash and eggs, and she loved every bite. I got a taste of the hash and it was perfectly cooked with a little grill top sear. We will be back in the area often so Pete's is a definite re-peat adventure!

In the Dunedin area after a couple early appointments and looking for a brunch spot. A quick check of higher ratings pulled up Pete's. And the comments affirmed that, so we were off. Found it easily and glanced at today's specials then were seated immediately. We glanced over the menu. My eyes caught the Biscuits & Gravy but then I spotted the Pete's Scramble. Biscuits & Gravy with scrambled eggs & cheese, topped with crisp Bacon! It was tough because everything looked great. Especially the food at the tables around us. My wife discovered the Scramble Bowl. It reminded her of her Father's Hillbilly Stew served three times a day when squirrel hunting with Dad and three boys. One pound Bacon fried crisp. Add one large Onion diced and 5 pounds of par boiled potatoes. Then finish with a dozen eggs. Sounded boring when I joined them but after several hours walking in the woods, it was great. I also ordered a side of cheese grits to share but both our plates were huge, so half went home for another day. Service was great, food was excellent. Great prices. My wife is already planning to bring her girlfriends here!

Diet coke in a can. I have never paid for a meal, left most of it and walked out before. The waitress was sweet good and nice. The food was weak and the diner had the vibe of the worst diners of 40 years ago (not the best). What tasted like wonder-bread whole wheat toast, and is that a velveta square of cheese? Its not - but dang if i can tell what it is. I took a few bites paid and left. Also if you are not going to spend the money for a pop machine where else are you skimping? Feels like the owner is running out the string to retire when the lease ends. Sorry about this review, I feel obligated to save my friends the journey.

Cooked to perfection, super tender and the homemade mint jam was amazing! After dinner, we headed out to the outside bar and it was such a great way to end the evening. It is extremely loud and we had a hard time hearing each other and our server. Service overall was just okay. Drinks: - Key Lime Pie Martini - very sweet and tasted like flavored eggnog. sent back - Pomegranate Martini - not made consistently. My mom's was much sweeter than mine. Good, but nothing special - Almond Old Fashioned - this was nice. The almond was a nice change from a normal old fashioned Appetizers/Entrees: - Prosciutto & Date Flatbread - this had a nice amount of proscuitto, but there was too much balsamic dressing as it overpowered the whole dish - Spanish Octopus - TINY! It has nice flavor, but there's not a lot of octopus in it, which defeats the purpose - Seared Sesame Ahi Tuna - very nice flavor, but they only gave 6 pieces of tuna and 3 wonton chips for nearly $30 - Cedar Plank Salmon - best thing we got. It's the only dish that had the perfect amount of everything and was enjoyable to eat. The cedar gives the salmon a very nice flavor - Port Wine Glazed Pork Osso Bucco - disgusting mushroom risotto. Pork was undercooked so we had to send it back to be fixed. Came back cooked correctly and tasted decent. They gave a good amount of pork. This place is ridiculously pricey for the small amount you get for most of the dishes. Lots of issues with our visit and it just isn't a relaxing place to eat with how loud it gets. 2.5 stars overall.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt special--elegant but comfortable, the kind of place that makes you feel like you're celebrating something important (because we were!). The service was outstanding--attentive without being overbearing--and the staff truly made the evening feel memorable. Our meals were phenomenal, beautifully prepared, and worth every bite. It was one of those dinners where you're already planning what you want to order next time before you've even finished your plate. Between the incredible food, wonderful service, and getting to spend the evening with my favorite person, it was exactly how I wanted to celebrate my birthday. The Black Pearl helped turn a special night into a truly unforgettable one. Highly recommend for celebrations, date nights, or anytime you want an exceptional dining experience. Super cool guy and very welcoming which made the experience feel extra special. We sat at the bar seating where you can watch the kitchen in action and it made the night even more fun. It kind of gave me Rooster & the Till vibes with the open kitchen energy and intimate setup. They serve wine and beer only which honestly fits the cozy and thoughtfully curated feel of the place really well. Great food great atmosphere and a unique dining experience overall. I would absolutely come back again and highly recommend it if you are looking for something a little different in Dunedin. What I ordered: - house made naan bread - chicken veloute, potato tortellini, carmalized onions, egg yolk (gives only 1 tortellini. Wish they added more) - ricotta gnocchi, brown butter, sage, prosciutto - beef short rib, mushroom and onion tart, parsnip, black garlic (really good!! must order!!)

When I sat at the bar I saw them pulling the food out of plastic containers in the fridge and warming it back up. The portions are small and the prices high, so come knowing that. That said, the food has always tasted good. The service was okay. My biggest issue, I tried to come eat here with my pre-teen kids once after a sports game they played and was asked multiple times if I was sure this was the place I wanted to come. Did they think I can't afford it? Did they not want my kids in the restaurant? And on that note, the food is not kid-friendly really.

I'm so sorry, wish I knew his name. He was the only male server there at the time so hopefully he gets credit. We made a reservation for dinner & walked in about 6:30pm. We waited only a minute maybe at the podium. It's in a strip mall which is odd for such an upscale place but it was kind of business casual not formal. We were seated in a comfy booth by our server. There was even a card sitting on the table, signed by the staff for our anniversary. Very sweet. This was our first time here so he showed us various specials on the menu. They had NYE specials since it was the 30th so we ordered from that. The drink menu is very small but I'm confident the bartender could have made me anything I asked for. We did not order bread, it's not included but we also did not want to fill up on it. I was dying to try the onion soup & was actually glad he recommended the mini size. It allowed us to try the soup but not fill up on it. I would totally return just for this soup! It wasn't long before our dinners were ready. Once it was in front of me I was honestly shocked at the raw beef but, it was truly seared & sliced to give it that presentation. I normally will not touch rare beef but this was actually delicious! The food was so good & fresh. The drinks were strong, not watered down at all. I actually had to get a Togo box for half my meal but it was a great lunch the next day. We did take home desserts as well which were also perfect. Our dinner was $200 which is quite steep but it was our anniversary & we truly enjoyed it. We will definitely return. I wish they did carry out for the soup. I think I'd order it every week if they did.. Overall I have zero complaints. The ambiance is not overly stiff either. They've made it so it's a mix of casual & elegance combined. If you'd like to dress up, go for it! Thank you, Parlor House for an amazing anniversary dinner.

When we were here last (as you can see in the attached photos) there were dark curtains blocking out the very casual plaza, white table cloths, dimmer lighting, and a stage at the front for live jazz music. It really felt transformative and intimate. This time when we walked in we were greeted by a beta fish tank which was incredibly odd lol, all of the curtains were wide open, no live music, wooden tables, confusing decor, it was super bright and so, sooo so loud. Tables were crammed together and you could tell the kitchen and bar were struggling with volume. I wouldn't mention this at all if the entrees weren't 50$. For the very pricy food and cocktails you expect an elevated interior- and the vibe felt really confusing. It's a shame because the food is exceptional- something to keep in mind if you're looking for a romantic date night. Excellent food romantic vibes Still worth trying if you're in the area- just adjust expectations. Dress code online business casual but folks were mostly in shorts and t-shirts.

My Brother lives in St Pete and takes our Mom to eat there or calls in for take-out at least 2-3 times per month. We arrived tonight (Thursday) around 7:45 PM to bypass the dinner rush. Walking in to be seated, I noticed several empty tables that had not yet been cleared with several people waiting outside to be seated. I was told "there will be at least a 10-15 minute wait, to give my name, and to wait outside." I thought maybe there were enough people waiting already to take up the empty tables, but that wasn't the case. We sat outside in the cold waiting and watching the guy stand at the bar doing nothing to help bus the empty tables, some of which were right by the window. After 15 minutes or more, we were finally called in last walking by the same uncleared tables, led to another table as the table cloth was being placed on it, no menus, no apology for the extra long (unnecessary) wait outside in the cold. When we finally placed our order, we waited some more. Finally our server said "there was a mix up and our order had not gone through." When Mom's favorite seared salmon finally arrived, it was dry and overcooked. I have never written a bad review on Yelp in my life. But, I hated to see my precious Mom & Brother treated this way. Loyal customers should not be taken for granted.

Predatory worker compensation structure - Be aware…read more We recently dined here and noticed the tabletop signs explaining a mandatory 20% "commission" added to every single bill. When speaking with our server, she informed us that management classifies the waitstaff as 1099 independent contractors, meaning they receive a $0 hourly base rate from the restaurant and rely entirely on this mandatory guest fee for their paycheck.I have a physical copy of the check showing this automatic fee. While the sign claims this "supports our team," classifying standard restaurant servers as 1099 workers instead of W-2 employees is a massive red flag that contradicts federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines. Independent contractors set their own hours and operations; servers do not. Furthermore, a restaurant cannot legally leave a server's direct hourly base wage at zero by relying entirely on automatic service fees.We love supporting local staff, but we want our money going to businesses that respect basic labor laws and compensate their employees legally. Hopefully, public pressure will force management to fix their payroll structure. The server said the restaurant was on the verge of bankruptcy and had to make changes. Sadly they chose to break the law. On that note the service was lovely, the food very tasty. I asked to sub corn for flour tortias and she was able. We don't directly live in the area, and its been a while since we've been here. Its always good, with good portions and not a chain. Its so unfortunate.

A lot of the restaurants are closed for lunch though, which is how we ended up here. It's a lot larger than it looks. There's a really cute covered outdoors area in the back with a stage for performances. There were only a few diners there for lunch on a Friday so it was easy to grab a spot. I got a skinny strawberry margarita, it made me happy to see a skinny version of a flavored margarita on the menu. It has a sugar rim and was delicious. It's on the sweet side and I'd definitely get it again. I requested it without soda water. For my main I got the salmon bowl. I wouldn't get this again, but it's because the base is mainly fried wontons. I thought it would be a scattering of fried wontons but nope, it was a hefty portion. I didn't eat most of the fried wontons because I'm trying to be healthy. It's a delicious dish, just not for me. Service was great, but we were an easy table because we were chatting the entire time.
