By all standards, one of the worst meals ever. Menu items that weren't available, no cream with the coffee, quick and somewhat rude waitress, and terrible food. The Crab Benedict has no english muffins and is simply a premade, frozen crab cake with no real crab meat in it. It's covered in broken, flavorless hollandaise. I really have nothing to say other than if this place is truly 4 stars then Florida yelpers need to step their game up. read more

We absolutely love our neighborhood diner! We order a takeout breakfast from here at least once a week, and it's an excellent value for the price. Sherrie almost always takes our order, she recognizes my husband's number and always greets him by name. All she has to ask is "the usual?" (we're creatures of habit, lol) and we get the delicious breakfasts that we love. Both the food and customer service are outstanding, and keep us coming back on a regular basis! read more

**review is on breakfast** Visit: Mother's day in the AM Pros: Wait staff was nice, our waiter was attentive, I think his name was Fernando. Food wait time was acceptable, not too long of a wait at all. Cons: I personally thought it was very expensive for 3 people. We ended up spending almost $40 with tip for 3 plates. The food itself was not incredible -- I had the eggs benedict. I would say it was sub par, certainly not anything to rave about. The home fries were alright, they were like sliced up potatoes which I had never seen before for home fries, but not bad. My boyfriend had an veggie omelet and pancakes that were dry, and my boyfriend's brother had a standard 2 egg breakfast (you can't really go wrong with that). Definitely has a very old time feel to it, they really need to update the decor. The booth that we sat in had torn up seats, and the TV was a box TV that was high up that nobody can hear. Menu was very basic, black text on white background, no pictures at all (though I don't really care about that since all breakfast food is pretty much the same). Probably the most ridiculous thing that I saw was a $1.50 "sharing fee" for buying pancakes. I have never seen that in any breakfast place that I have gone to (I'd say I go out a lot) and THAT immediately turned me off. Are you really going to charge your customers for sharing their pancakes that THEY bought at $3.99 with others? I personally think that's just absolutely insane! For the amount of money that we ended up spending (and that $1.50 charge...), I would have preferred to go to IHOP or some large chain breakfast place. read more

We tried this place today for the first time. Great diner breakfast and reasonable prices. Hash browns and home fries. Now home fries are ok, but hash browns are the best. I had a redneck Benedict and the poached eggs were perfect. The dining room was clean and bright with Route 66 decor. Our waitress was great. She was quick, informed, funny and helpful. First time visit today. The place was packed and very short on wait-staff. However, Sherry arrived quickly and brought my coffee. The coffee had a nice rich flavor. Looking at the menu I was excited to see ribeye steak and eggs. I was assured they could cook it rare. When the meal arrived the grizzled piece of ribeye was barely 1/4 inch thick and well done. I was told that they pre-cut the ribeye and this week it was cut very thin which was impossible to cook rare. For $10 the steak was very skimpy and unappealing. I wish they would consider charging a couple dollars more and providing a much nicer and presentable piece of steak. I sent the steak back to the kitchen and ordered the pork chop that was tasty but overcooked and was dry. Apparently the chef only knows how to cook well done meats. The hashbrowns were not cooked brown, looking like a plate of lumpy, under cooked, mashed potatoes. Being new to the area I am constantly looking for good breakfast and lunch restaurants. Pete's diner has potential but needs to put more focus on the quality of food preparation. read more

First off, they charge $3.00 for a crappy cup of cofffee,what do they think they're Starbucks. Then the food, ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of WELL done hash browns, Well unless you like eating flour paste don't get the B&G,no flavor what's so ever.Then the hash browns were barely cooked, guess the cook was in a hurry to get back chit chatting with the waitress.So in conclusion don't waste your money here, there are plenty of other places that have good food. read more

I'm not a fan of chain breakfast restaurants. They're overpriced, they never make my omelette the way I like, and sometimes can get really expensive. I like a plain traditional breakfast from a greasy spoon diner and that's exactly what this place is. It's extremely reasonably priced. We haven't gotten anything that we didn't like. I love their omelettes. My fiancé is a fan of their breakfast wraps. Our kid loves their eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy. I have to say their biscuits are so good. We have only eaten breakfast there so I can't comment on lunch or dinner. We always have friendly and fast service! Support your local businesses! read more

Great breakfast food reading for the 3 stars is service. It was slammed in this place when we went. First time there & didn't know the protocol (seat ourselves, wait, etc) finally a waitress waived at us to sit down. Thankfully we got there when we did 2 parties after us left bc there was no room to sit even though there was a huge empty table. Apparently they had it reserved though they didn't have a sign on it so we watched 2 parties sit & then be told they had to wait. read more

Pretty darn decent breakfasts. Hash browns and home fries are better than average. Eggs are cooked properly (that may seem like a minor point, but many places can't seem to manage it). Their coffee isn't very good, but for context I'm a coffee snob. read more

A pleasant gem in Dunedin. It's definitely an old school style family owner diner. You kind of feel like you are in 1979. The waitress was very friendly and efficient (maybe almost a bit too efficient....the service was very quick. Not rushed but the whole experience was VERY quick). The menu was varied and modern with traditional Greek and family menu items. I ordered a chicken, spinach and feta Quesadilla and it was fresh and very flavorful. This isn't going to be everyones cup of tea....definitely a restaurant that caters to the elderly and the decor could use some updating. But, again, friendly service, fresh food and a varied menu means we may have found our new "go to" restaurant when I don't feel like cooking! read more

I had trouble rating this one bc the first time I ate there i ordered the Cuban and thought it was really good, so I took my dad there for breakfast and we both thought it was less than just ok. I went back there again for lunch and ordered the Ruben and the saurkraut was old, running, and it bled right through the bread which was a soggy mess. I stopped in for lunch for the first time today. I went around 1 PM but breakfast was still available for anyone who wants to order it. The restaurant is your basic family dinner with traditional breakfast items and lunch sandwiches. I ordered a patty melt on rye with potato salad which was excellent. The sandwich was fresh and had great taste although it would have been better if it came with yellow American cheese instead of Swiss. The service was quick and friendly, our server Sherry seemed to know everyone by name (they must be regulars who go often, which is a good sign for the quality of food and service), menu was very inexpensive, most breakfast options about $3-$6 and sandwiches $5-$6. This is a quaint little mom and pop restaurant. Some of their items are spectacular some of their items are just okay. I personally am not a fan of little diners but my boyfriend loves this place and everything they have in it. If I'm craving for a decent omelette with a cup of coffee I make him take me to petes. read more

Pete's Breakfasr & Lunch Resturant in Dunedin, 34698, is a very good place to go. Good food, plenty of it. Prices are very good. Always take part home, just can't eat it all. Pete's is just a hole in the wall Resturant , very small, but the food is great. Tuesday's is my favorite day as Pete gets fresh Cod from the Docks in the morning and cooks it up for lunch. Since I had the fish once, Tuesday is now my favorite lunch day. I have eatern Cod Fish before but never as good as Pete's. I highly recommend Tuesay, Cod Fish day and I have had the special on Thursday which is a Turkey Dinner and it too, is wonderful Bon Appettite and go to Pete's. Sally J. Simmonds read more

Bad servicel!! I used to come here and we normally have the nice server. With the change of owner, food is not that great anymore. If your servers name is cherry i suggest that you call onother server. Cherry is rude server. With her bad service she expects 20% tip. I tipped her with the service she gave us. Ordered the breakfast special. 2 eggs over medium, hash browns, bacon and wheat toast with coffee. Eggs had runny whites, "toast" was extremely light, coffee was colored water. Waitress never checked on us, I had flag her down and ask to get jelly. My friend had to flag her down to get a coffee refill and then she still didn't bring it for another 5 minutes.
