We stopped by here on whim during peak time and we didn't have to wait too long. About 10/15 minutes to eat inside while other folks opted to eat outside and get seated faster. Host was nice and friendly. He walked us to our tables and got our menus off the wall. Coffee serving was big. Food came out fast after we ordered our food. It's a small kind of like a local diner. Cost wise for each person's meal was not that expensive. It was home comfort food that hit the spot for us. It a small diner so make sure you get there early we had a table of 6 but was seated right away on a Tuesday morning. Everything we ordered was delicious. This place was good, but not great. We got breakfast here one of our days spent in clearwater beach and honestly the service was better than the food. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. I got the eggs Benedict and it was filling but pretty average. Good location, indoor and outdoor seating. I was walking back from a dolphin tour and starving. The waitress warned they were only serving lunch. I asked for her recommendation and she suggested the cheesesteak sub. It was piping hot with melty cheese. The meat was clearly steak slices rather than shaved over dried questionable meat that is so often in these. The veggies were plentiful and well cooked. I wouldn't have expected the mushrooms but they worked. The fries were crinkle cut and just ok. The waitress was friendly. I noticed they were closing up yet she didn't bring me my bill until I was completely done. I asked an opinion about transportation and she and an employee who was sitting at the counter done for the day were very helpful. read more

We go to the Beach Shanty every November when we are in Clearwater and love it. It's a cute little beachside (across the street actually) cafe. The service is exceptional and the food is so good. We had a breakfast at this restaurant two years ago. It was so great that even our picky toddler loved it. The inside was clean and cozy but a bit small especially the space between tables. But that's not a problem considering how lovely it looks. We had visited again today but we were late and the breakfast time passed according to the waitress. I insisted couple of times since some people may have brunch at noon. But they refused and I think I understand. We ordered cheese burger and tuna sandwich. We stopped in for a bright and early breakfast and we loved every second spent here! The food was great and reasonably priced. However, the service was the stellar part here. Right from the minute we walked in we were greeted with hellos and smiles from behind the counter and the same when we walked out. Our server Victoria was so sweet to us and prompt with serving us. Unfortunately I have to write this review because the service was the worst we've had in over a decade. The guy who served us was weird and only paid attention to my wife. He dumped my water all over the table and got it all over both of us. Never apologized for dumping the water on us! He said sorry for dumping the water on the table, but it was very insincere and matter of fact. Just wiped up the table and wiped my wife's seat. Didn't wipe my seat until I asked him to do so. Didn't even give us napkins to dry our clothes. Never offered anything for our trouble. Our server is the one who sat us and served us, maybe he's the owner or manager, either way he lost a customer today. Horrible service. We both left shocked. read more

Well since I arrived in Clearwater Beach driving all night long my long time friend recommended this place for breakfast since we arrived in the morning. He said it was the best and from what experience it was. They made the best Florentine eggs benedict. The spinach was fresh the eggs didn't taste stale in between the bread underneath the eggs benedict. The Belgium waffle was so so ok however I discovered coconut syrup which I never heard of usually when it comes to pancakes and waffles and that's what made the Belgian waffles better it's their proprietary condiment here. The server was responsive and happy. The hash browns was decent. I usually like my hash browns shredded than chunky cut thus 4 stars out of 5. This place is a wonderful breakfast spot!! We knew by the line out the door it had to be good and it was worth the wait. It's small but they turn tables really quickly. We waited about 20 minutes. Coffee is served in generous sized mugs. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was fantastic! Especially the pancakes with strawberries and their homemade coconut syrup. (My son got this but I ate about half!!) tastes like strawberry shortcake!
