This is my favorite local coffee shop in Seminole, FL! We always order the signature banana mocha with oat milk, and my favorite seasonal drinks are the coconut banana and the Summer Samoan. It's truly some of the best coffee around, and I love that they roast their own coffee beans and use homemade syrups. The service makes it even better, the staff are so kind and welcoming every time. The ambiance is what really pulls it all together, it's quaint, cozy, and the perfect place to hang out, play trivia, or read. And the music is always a vibe, lots of Fleetwood Mac (I might be biased). 5/5 will always come back whenever I stop for the beach! read more

My husband and I stopped into Southie Coffee on Park Boulevard during a Yelp event, and judging by the line out the door, we weren't the only ones craving some caffeine! Southie gets points for creativity! My Maple Syrup Dirty Chai was enjoyable, although a little too sweet for my taste. Matt's Miso Cold Brew was surprisingly good! The staff was absolutely lovely, remaining friendly and welcoming despite being completely slammed. Now, about those breakfast burritos... At $13.95 each, I expected something a little more substantial. I'm not asking for a burrito the size of my forearm, but I'd like to finish breakfast feeling like I've actually eaten! To make matters worse, they brought me the wrong one. Mistakes happen, especially when you're overwhelmed, and I can extend some grace. But had Matt's coffee and burrito not been complimentary through the Yelp event, our breakfast for two would have approached $50. That's a pretty steep price for two coffees and two petite burritos! The atmosphere is cute, although nothing particularly memorable. Southie has creative coffee options and genuinely wonderful employees, but the overall value missed the mark for me. Would I return? Perhaps for another interesting coffee creation, but probably not for breakfast. The sweetest part of our visit was definitely the staff, they are awesome! read more

I made my way over to Southie Coffee Seminole for the Yelp Elite event on its final day, which snuck up on me. I haven't spent much time in Seminole since moving to St. Pete, so it was nice to venture out. First impressions were good. The cafe itself is nice and welcoming. There's also plenty of parking in the surrounding area and adjacent lot. The staff was super friendly. I stopped by on a Sunday around 10:30 am, so it was understandably busy. Service was definitely on the slower side, and quite a few people seemed to be waiting a while for their orders. For my drink, I ordered the brown sugar miso latte. Overall, it was a really well made latte, and I enjoyed it. My only criticism is that the advertised flavors weren't noticeable. I couldn't really taste the brown sugar at all, and the miso was maybe slightly present, but it mostly tasted like a really good traditional latte. I actually appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet. I just wish they had leaned a bit more into the flavors that make the drink unique. For the food portion of the Yelp Elite event, I was offered a choice of a guava turnover, or a bacon breakfast burrito. I went with the burrito. The burrito itself tasted pretty good, but there were a few things worth mentioning. It was noticeably smaller than I expected, especially considering its regular menu price. Since it was complimentary as part of the event, that wasn't a big deal to me. The other issue was that my bacon breakfast burrito didn't actually have any bacon in it! Not a single piece. I thought I had found some in one half of the burrito, but it was just salsa after trying it, haha. The potatoes were also a little undercooked for my preference, almost on the raw side, although there weren't many of them. I didn't bring any of this up to the staff because I wasn't too concerned about the bacon, and everyone working there had been so nice. I'm sure they would have tried to make things right if I had said something. From reading some other reviews, it sounds like the burritos may be prepared ahead of time and reheated, so perhaps that contributed to the experience. All that being said, I really enjoyed the Yelp Elite event. It was well organized, there were options to choose from, and the team there was nice. I do want to be fair with my feedback though. If I had visited as a regular paying customer and received the same food and drink, I probably would have walked away a little disappointed, particularly with the burrito. Overall, I had a good experience at the event, and I'd absolutely consider stopping by again when I'm in the Seminole area. read more

I love cute coffee shops and this one definitely is on my list. I stopped in for a Yelp event not realizing I was a day too early which isn't the first time I've done it. I looked over the menu and saw they had a fall collection of drinks that sounded all so good! I went with the Sweet potato pie matcha and also a beef empanada. The staff working was really speedy everything was ready pretty quickly. I got my drink first them they brought out my empanada from the back and I ended up taking them both to the car to enjoy. The matcha had only little flavor from the cold foam until I realized all the syrup was at the bottom. I stirred the drink and could definitely tastes the sweet potato afterwards it was a good drink the only thing I wish is that the marshmallows on the top would have been toasted! The beef empanada had a crispy dough but the filling was soo dry even with the salsa. Maybe because it was re heated it dried out a bit? I'm not sure. I came to the Yelp Carb Comeback event at Southie Coffee this morning for a nice and chill Sunday, and that is definitely what I got! The café is really cute on the inside and has plenty of seating at the front of the shop, a cute little nook in the back, and even lots of outdoor seating. The staff was helpful, friendly, and quick with their service - although by the time I arrived at 11am, they were unfortunately out of breakfast burritos which I was excited for. I ended up getting an iced miso latte - it was very subtle, but it had a nice flavor. I would come back to try another couple of items, but it wasn't my favorite. read more

Great little coffee shop! We had 2 empanadas and a latte. You have to try the Cuban empanada - like a Cuban sandwich inside! Beef flavor was good too. Service was phenomenal - so genuinely friendly. They also roast their own beans btw :) A little pricey for the drinks, though, and I felt the flavor of one of their specialty lattes was quite weak [could barely taste the hazelnut/mocha flavor *sniff*]. The space was really small and gets packed, so not so much a place to linger and work -- even when factoring outside seating. However, if you're in the area, it's good spot to come grab a bite and a specialty latte to go -- specially as there are no other good local, comparable options I've tried. read more

I was recommended this place by my boyfriend's boss and he has never steered me wrong! Though this place did feel a little bland and sterile walking in I was very impressed with their coffee. Best in Seminole! Southie Coffee Company is truly a gem. The owners are awesome, the coffee is great, and the food is just as impressive. They have delicious meals, pastries, and plenty of vegan options, so there's something for everyone. And they're not stopping there! I had this place on my list to check out and am so happy we did! We stopped in for a later afternoon coffee and was wanting to coming back for food! We ordered some iced coffees and fell in love with the coffee shop. They had a great food and drink menu but their seasonal menu was something to try! I ordered the matcha julep and was wanting more! I think I drank my iced matcha within 10 minutes. It was very tasty and unlike anything I've tried. The inside was decorated extremely cute and even offered free treats to any of our four legged friends. We did not try any food but those muffins everyone is talking about looked great! Coffee is good, but VERY strong. This is a tiny little shop in the back of a shopping center. They have free WiFi and a little stand of books to hang out and read. They do not have a lot of seating and most of the tables are only big enough for 2. First visit here in my coffee shop search for a quiet place to work. I had an iced speciality coffee with orange and bitters. Delicious! The egg and cheese sandwich was also tasty. Service was great. The place is small and clean. The music was perfect, not too loud or too soft. While there are tables and chairs that aren't for a long visit, there are three tables with comfortable chairs for long term. Only negative is not enough outlets, but I came with a fully charged laptop so that wasn't an issue. read more

Every time I go to Southie Coffee I am always greeted by friendly employees and a nice atmosphere. I always get an ice chai latte, and it never fails to disappoint. Whenever I order from Starbucks, it just tastes like plain milk, but I've never had that experience here. The employees are very friendly, and will even start small talk. They are always very efficient and I'm able to be in and out in minutes if I need to be. There are multiple tables available for indoor and outdoor seating. On a Sunday morning there was really no line, The two girls behind the counter were super nice and helped me order for the first time. I got a couple coffees and two breakfast burritos and a muffin. The coffee and Lattes are absolutely delicious! Lavender and Rose Dream so far are my all time favorites! The turkey bacon wrap with chips was so good! Nice and warm and fresh. Best little secret we ran into leaving Redington Beach! In a small Little strip of shops and very unassuming. Gluten free and vegan options w gluten free pastries to boot.
