Just OK I've tried DOD a couple of times now and both experiences were just OK. I had a Café Latte. It seems that some places don't know the difference between a latte and a cappuccino. The cappuccino has a lot of foam--the latte only has a little. My cup was only 2/3 full of liquid with a lot of foam on top. My breakfast sandwich was a bagel with deli ham and an egg and cheese. Nothing very flavorful and all pretty standard. A bit more creativity with the sandwiches would be appreciated. See the Coffee Mill in Largo for an example of a good menu. read more

I love coffee, & admittedly Yelp reviews guided me toward trying DOD. I am totally naive about DOD, day of the dead. So the wall hangings, mural, & motif were a bit wasted on me. The aura from these items was "unique" to put it mildly. But I digress, as my review is based on the coffee. I ordered a hot almond latte, & I was genuinely surprised by how good it tasted. Smooth with excellent almond flavor. This coffeehouse shot up to be one of the best in my book. I don't understand the indoor motif, but I can greatly tell you the coffee is excellent. read more

D.O.D. has some of the best cold brew I've found on the Gulf. Staff is friendly as well. They remember me as I only come in on the weekends when I'm in town visiting family. Love love love supporting family owned and operated businesses, for start. They roast their own coffee and brew it fresh for you! I got a small iced latte which was 2 shots of expresso and jazzed it up with white mocha & hazelnut. Flavor was great... next time I would either go with less milk or add an extra shot of coffee. The sandwich had great flavor! It was my own error in not paying attention that I thought/expected it to be a panini... either way, was still good. It was nice to chill & chat with the owner Jon. This is where you get REAL coffee. And good food too! What an amazing place, the ambience is bright and cool, with a vibrant, friendly energy. These guys roast their coffee in-house and they're passionate about what they do, so you won't find a fresher cup. Get a pour-over or a French Press, and grab a sandwich! They also get specialty coffees in, and when I say specialty I mean like George Howell special. Imagine a smooth coffee with naturally occurring notes of blueberry, and an apparent sweetness without cream or sugar. Or a robust, chocolatey coffee with hints of caramel and dark cherries. This is the norm for "coffee snobs," but if you don't know, I'm not talking about flavored coffee. I'm talking about beans that were harvested and roasted in ways that bring out these flavors naturally. It's almost the same way you get those special floral notes or deep complexities from a wine tasting. You won't get this at Starbucks! (Probably won't pay as much, either) So come down and check this place out. They've become an instant favorite for me. Grab a cup, or a whole bag of beans.
