We only came here to eat because the plaza had an event so we wanted to grab something nearby to eat. I'm glad we at least tried it once to confirm that we probably wouldn't go back. The boneless wings were overcooked and kinda dry. The burger itself was cooked to a perfect medium but the lettuce was old, the bun was cold, and the server forgot our fries and we didn't get them until we were halfway done with the meal. The place was very clean. The menu is cool looking. It looks like an old newspaper. The bar was filled with quality booze. I don't drink but to inform those who do. The waitstaff was very nice. The food was delicious and delivered fast. 4 stars was because they didn't have an item that was on the menu and the waitress was not Informed. My husband was pretty peeved because this happens to him all the time! And he's not crazy for Irish food. Luckily they had wings On the appetizer menu and he had those. He liked that the wings were no doused in sauce and they were tender. I had the shepherds pie botsy. It's a potato ball filled with hamburger, peas, onions, and carrots. Ray was a phenomenal bartender. I walked in just to grab a quick appetizer and drink in between my eyelash appointment and my nail appointment four stores down,... recommended since my nail technician wasn't ready to come here to grab a bite to eat and a drink so, I did. Ray, my bartender, felt uncomfortable as a man was taking photos of her so she let her manager know in case of intervening. I have bartended on and off with an overall eight years experience, and I know what it's like to be in that type of situation. I am very happy to hear that. Twelve bite size pieces of Mac and cheese bites filled with smoked Gouda and bacon, fried to a golden brown. Served with ranch dressing. For the entree I had the Shepard's Pie Boxty. 3 Large pieces of Shepard's Pie filling wrapped in mashed potatoes and then deep fried, served with gravy. Outstanding. Wow. What a fab addition to Seminole Town Center. Fifteen TVs, long communal-type tables, approximately 20 barstools AND a dog-friendly patio (and free parking). The staff is friendly. Walk in and everyone says "sit anywhere you want" in a very friendly welcoming fashion. They have $6 cocktails all day/every day (Nolet's Silver Gin, Ketel One, Crown Royal and Captain Morgan). Happy hour is M-F 3-7 with many competitive offers, i.e., 1/2 price house wine, 2-4-1 well drinks, $1 off the huge tap selection, etc. We ordered the Macho Nachos. House-fried potato chips (delicious) topped with a wee tiny bit (more please), small amount of seasoned ground beef, diced tomato, fresh jalapenos and sour cream. Tasty, but for $10 there should be more of the toppings. Based on the presentation, $6 would have been a fair price-- this is why a 4-star rating and not a 5-star. All in all. Welcome Irish 31. Well, kinda had better hopes for this place. Three of us went for lunch. One only had an APP of Pickle Chips. She said they were, 'okay'. We also had an order of Fish & Chips & Patty Melt. Now, the restaurant was out of 'Chips' (Steakfries), so neither entreé could have them. We had a choice of mashed, Salad and something else. Not happy. How when your sandwich selection all mentions comes w/fries can you be out?? Especially, Fish & "Chips"?? Mediocre at best. This really was uneventful. Service slow as understaffed. We won a gift card on Instagram so went today to check it out. Hubby doesn't like Irish pubs normally. We were welcomed by the servers and ordered some Irish 31 Red Ales. Sooo good!! We like ipa's and strong beers but such a yummy drinkable beer!! Plus having a beer that's not so expensive makes people want to come to your restaurant!! We Had the pretzel app add cheese. Yum!! So good but the honey mustard was amazing!!! I had the Reuben and house chips and hubby got the fish and chips. All were delicious!! First time in 18 plus months we went to the movies... Seminole Mall Theater... "Batman". .. well worth the trip. But that's not what I'm reviewing. Went to IRISH 31 for dinner.. surprisingly good, $$$ is right & the staff was very courteous and friendly. Got the " boxy shepherds pie. Was different and sooo good along with the hamburger on ciabatta bread also good. Also they had many drafts on tap along with wine/ sangria. Couldn't ask for a better meal.. except maybe PIA'S in Gulfport. But that's Italian.. not Irish . Would definitely recommend this restaurant.. keep up the friendly service/ quality. I've been here like 3 times. It's a good place to sit at the bar and have a snack and some drinks. Not too loud and boisterous, but lively, and the staff is friendly . Sometimes there's a live musician there. I wish I could say I've tried more of their menu, but what I've had is good and the drinks are good too. The look of the place is different. The bar has tv's like a sports bar, and there are large wood top tables. I guess I'd describe it as a modern Irish pub. read more

I had high hopes for this place. I have been to the westchase and south tampa location and loved it. Had the same expectations for the bar in seminole. Sat at the bar with two other people. The bar tender was unattentive and had to flag her down every 30 mins for something. I tried to look past it because "hey who sits at the bar for good service?!". I was looking forward to my food at that point... waited 20 mins to get our appetizer Wings.. They were good.. mediocre. No where to go out of my way for. For entrees we got the chopped salad w salmon, ceaser salad with chicken, and Salmon entree. Salmon was over cooked on both. Salads were 90 percent ice burg lettuce... seemed like a salad made by a college student on a two dollar budget. will stick to MILLERS ale house next time around where we know there will be good food. read more
